I tend to use more local exchanges (country wise), so me being in Canada I rely primarily on QuadrigaCX.

I used to use LCB a lot more though.

so far I have used trade, in bittrex, Poloniex and Indodax. for me three exchanges are also safe and good for me to use until a few years from now.
Great exchanges, I remember the old days when Poloniex and Bittrex were among the hottest exchanges, their volume is great but when Binance was crated, it took over the volume. These exchanges are still good in terms of security, but the volume has really decline. You know, day traders will look into more daily trading volume for liquidity purposes.
bittrex and poloniex now not more popular again since appear new exchanges.especially korean exchanges where their citizen have high interest in cryptocurrency market.for example binance ,kucoin , upbit and many more.citizen interest create high daily volume trading and its attrack new user from foreigner.

I use exchanges that has less complaints and issue cause some trading sites are freezing accounts and other users having issue about funds magically disappearing from their wallet. Also not a fan of decentralized exchanges cause they might go bankrupt any moment, we all know that a trading business can't survive without some sort of centralization.

So far, I think Challengy is the best. It supports more than 100 altcoins with credit card payment support.

At the moment I'm mainly using Kraken. The UI is very unlovely and if I was a serious trading type I'm not sure I could face using it day in, day out. But for someone looking to make the occasional exchange it's fine.

I've been fully verified on there for years. No one's hassled me for more. Withdrawals are prompt. They helpfully converted my SV or whatever it's called for me.

I'm considering opening accounts on all the major ones I haven't already. The one I won't be going back to is Bitstamp. I'm verified on there. I do not like the idea of no longer being verified whenever they feel like it.

Coinbase is probably the most popular and widely used Bitcoin exchange. Another alternative is Localbitcoins where you can trade between users in your local area without an exchange.

I use several bitcoin exchanges:

Indodax. Indodax is the largest local bitcoin exchange in my country that has responsive customer service. Besides that, Indodax has 2 way to keep our account safe.

Bittrex. The biggest and popular bitcoin exchange with high daily volume trading that ever I know.

Nexybit. The fairly new of revenue sharing cryptocurrency exchange. With a standard security system using the 2FA feature and does not require KYC for trading and withdrawal. Oh ya, I often get daily airdrop from my total daily trading fees and as and NXY hodler.

I am very comfortable using these bitcoin exchange Cheesy

I am using a combo of two exchanges right now. All my main trades and all my assets are being held in Bitstamp account. They are well secured and reliable. The price for this security is usually paid through the tons of fees but I don't mind. The thing that I do not like about them is all the additional verification needed every time a major amount is being deposited or withdraw from the account. They know to prolong it for days and even weeks. That is why I use another exchange everytime I need to switch my altcoins urgently. I use fox exchange which is the easiest platform ever made and it requires zero additional verification and procedures. Two clicks on the button and your instant order is performed. Nice and easy.

I use okex,  Binance and bittrex.  These exchanges have good reputation are very reliable.  You should also make use of your local exchange if there is any.  Local cryptocurrency exchange increases the  local cryotocurrency economy and further popularized cryptocurrencies more!
Good suggestion, I wish we have local exchange in the future, but if I like to trade more tokens and coins, local exchange is not helpful as it has a limited coins only, I'm also afraid about the liquidity. Unlike in big exchanges you've mentioned above are really good in liquidity, especially Binance and OkeX.

Local exchange is the best way to convert because we will be getting our desired currency into our account. They won't support all the coins we have so in order to exchange those into BTC we have to find one of the prominent exchange like Binance, Bittrex, Bitthumb etc.
It is good if you find better local exchanges but according to me it makes trust issues. Those exchanges that you mentioned are best one. Bittrex has good market popularity and there are some friends of me who use it. They told me it’s good and gives fast return as well as the fees is really affordable so I liked your suggestion.

like many of you mentions i prefer the old and already stabilize exchange, because of security of course. But you can have a bad day and got stuck with withdrawing/deposit in old legacy exchange like polo who i experience in first hand in the last bull run.

i prefer to used the old and tested exchanges when it comes to trading a bitcoin mostly i traded i bitrex, bitfinex, coin exchange, hitbtc, and even in yobit but when you trade always be careful and dont follow what ever they are talking in the troll box.
You have mentioned the good exchanges but mate yet I am using poloniex and I did not experience any major problem in it.  People are using it to trade with Alt coins too. Some of my friends suggested me to use bittrex as they found it easier but I prefer using one and only poloniex as it has very low fees and reliable use.

yep, In fact, reliability is the most important thing on the web. Most organizations on the internet are scam and fraudulent, these scammers damage the investors financial. The first reason I prefer poloniex is reliability. They have been operating smoothly since 2014. They are not very very cheap in fees but this situation can be overlooked.

I prefer to use poloniex when I doing the trade because it is the first site I started trading. I haven't had any problems until now. while doing buy and sell on the exchange sites due to the slowness of the system loss of value may occur. I have never experienced this slowness problem while using poloniex. By the way, I heard that binance is also good.
