Bitcoin Core.
... but its bad that you need a lot of
free space on your HD to download
blockchain.

For me, Android Bitcoin wallet is also good
option.... but be careful and never hold
big ammount on your mobile wallet.

The best BTC wallet would be Trezor. It is safest hardware wallet

I am a also a hardware wallet fan for security but I’m not sure they can come under the category “convenient”

To add “convenient” for smaller amounts I would tend to agree with -

Yeah Blockchain wallet is the best of all, in terms of convenience, accessibility as well security compared to other wallet.

Of course with full use of the many security options including second password for transactions, 2fa

Coins.ph is just for Philippine residents only and offshore they can't enjoy its services offered and I think they would rather choose blockchain or coinbase. But for me, it is better to use blockchain. I've also tried to use xapo but blockchain is better.

I keep all my coins in electrum, since it's pretty secure and I have full control of my private keys unlike web wallets like coinbase and xapo.
Another good thing about electrum is that you don't have to download the whole blockchain, thus you save heaps of storage space.

Coinbase you don't have it due to insurance policy though.  And they are also a exchange so completly different. If Coinbase is hacked they have a insurance policy that should cover it (does not cover if you made mistake and you are hacked, its more against them as a whole).  So not really fair to compare the it with Electrum as so different.

I still really push for hardware wallets I think they are the future of holding coins safely.

The most convenient are the mobile wallets, because you can use them everywhere easily. Of course they are not the most secure and risk free, too.

You should do your own research and decide what is best for you

Exactly different wallets have different features and you should choose according to your convenience I am using multibit at a moment but when I need to convert it to fiat I transfer it to localbitcoins.

Concern the localbitcoin. Is the site tested and trusted cos I don't want to get scam.

localbitcoin is trusted AS LONG as you use 2-factor authentication.  You should use 2fa for every hot wallet.

Blockchain is good, but again, use 2fa.

Same with airbitz, breadwallet, and mycelium.  Again remember to 2fa!

I am not technical enough to know if you can add 2fa to bitcoin core, even though it works well.  That's why I don't have much on it.

Ok but I was once told that it the person you're trying to sell or buy Btc from on localbitcoin that matters cos the buyer or seller might be a scammer,is it true?

I will go with blockchain.info as I feel that it takes less time for confirmation in transaction which takes usually a very long time in other wallets.
Honestly i already use the blockchain and even you are paying high fee the transaction is slow.. and i think it depends in miners if it will confirm it fast or not..  i use coinbase because theres no fee for every transaction..

You can do custom and change fee to what ever you want, so it does not have to be slow.  Blockchain.info is no doubt most popular hot web wallet.  Just has a ton of users. (all of which I hope use 2 factor... but I know this not true.)

Coinbase is hard to get some as they like to remain anonymous, and coinbase you provide KYC info.  Also it is a exchange so kinda a different market.  But it is good due to insurance policy they have that should protect if site is hacked.

If I understand you... Are you saying it possible to beat down or cancel blockchain transfer charges?

For a newbie friendly the best wallet is Multibit HD, for a normal user to advanced user is Electrum (both these wallets are online desktop wallets, so you need to keep them in safe operating system, not Windows for your security). For the best bet is a hardware wallet like Trezor, Keepkey or if you want just to try hardware wallets is Ledger Nano only 20 USD . They are all pretty much secure the hardware wallets, but also the desktop ones are, when you know what you are doing.

I don't recommend at all, blockchain, coinbase, circle, xapo, or any online web wallet for your own safety.

This one as well OP. I've used coinbase here and there but circle is still my main wallet provider.

It depends on your country, I'm from the Philippines and the best btc wallet for us is coins.ph

yeah its one of the good wallet but for philippines only and i think they are looking for a good wallet that you can use anytime anywhere.
As of now electrum is my wallet but i just use it to save a large amount and coinbase for a small amount transaction or for my temporary wallet..
As of now i never experience yet any issue in this two wallet online and desktop wallet..

Best wallets really don't change in most cases, it's exchanges that change.   Exchanges are highly location specific, due to following that countries laws.  It's impossible to be a exchange for entire world legally.

So look at wallets including hardware/software/hot wallets.  They are really all the same for all people in all countries unless they are a exchange your using for storage.
