Better to choose some altcoin that already has a large community at this time, such as eth, ltc and bnb, by investing in altcoin which has a top rank like this of course we don't need to be afraid of losing the money we have because we know if ether, ltc and bnb also have a fairly good history of crypto development in the last few years, especially since we know that the three altcoins continue to be developed by his team so that it is unlikely that the three altcoins will become dead coins in the future, unlike new altcoins or ico tokens / ieo which has no clear future, in my opinion.

As a general rule, always buy ones that have a real world use and solves a real world problem, have a working product, without a premine, wouldn't be better off as a database and you've personally researched exhaustively. but don't forget there are always exceptions.

some of the coins you mentioned still have the potential to be able to provide a lot of benefits for you, what if you have capital that you can save Bitcoin, Ethereum, LTC and NEO because in my opinion only this coin can have the opportunity to rise and is suitable for use buy.
Litecoin is dead in terms of development, plus a fully functioning lightning network makes it obsolete.

These coins are good now to make profit. Why don't you add BNB coin in your list?I think holding BNB will be a good choice. I don’t have enough trusts in ARK. But Bitcoin is good then and now. not just for now, because both of these coins have become the best coins of all time in the cryptocurrency market, so to invest in these two coins will not be doubted and there is no need to worry about situations like this long bear market, because these two coins are definitely will increase faster when the bullish trend takes place

I personnaly just recommend bitcoin, bitcoin has better performance compared by other altcoin. ETH isnt good as bitcoin now IMO
From your list it will be the best top ranked Cryptos are Bitcoin and Ethereum as these coins are proven reliable and very promising crypto for an investments. You may add BNB coin too as the team is very active of promoting their commodity that is why it continue to attract more people to invest.

The most promising coins are already established coins, they are mostly in the top of the market, such coins are even safer to buy I have some altcoins from early 2017 and some BTC and ETH too. I am thinking about investing some more but don't really know what i should be looking into.

I think we have given patients for two years after ATH bitcoin and altcoin were achieved. after the market downturn, there was no increase which brought all the markets moving together. only a few potential coins can increase prices, and others will remain in slow motion. recovery is not going well, but I think this market will stay alive and survive until later the bull comes. Buy those coins that you consider promising, personally I always choose the coins that are in the top 20, but sometimes I choose more with the top 50
