Most of Asian countries dont use Bitcoins publicly. I have  never heard of even one country in asia.

Where did you get that info? Well here in the Philippines, there are some people using it. Philippines is in Asia. Now you've heard one country in Asia that uses bitcoin. We can easily withdraw our bitcoins in ATM machines by 'cardless' withdrawal which is offered by a local bitcoin wallet website. Roll Eyes

I think that many countries do not make use of Bitcoin like third world countries where most people do not have internet. But not all of the first world countries make use of Bitcoin. But I am not sure witch countries specifically do not make use of Bitcoin.

I beg the differ. I'm from a third world country and a lot of people here (usually those people who have nothing to do in their life) are using bitcoin. They have nothing to do everyday so they figured out a way of making money out of their internet connections.

But still you're right, if the third world country you're saying doesn't have an Internet, then they don't have any access to any info about bitcoin. They wouldn't be able to use bitcoin if they have no internet in their country. The establishments wouldn't accept it as a payment too because there would be no one paying with bitcoin.

These days most countries allow bitcoin for transaction as long citizen report them in their tax state. Some countries like China and Russia try to block bitcoin because people use bitcoin to
'smuggle' their money out of the country.

I think only the Supreme Leader of North Korea Mr. Kim Jong-un has a Bitcoin paper wallet stashed under his pillow in his palace  Grin The ordinary people in North Korea have nothing to eat let alone use a computer in working order which is very rare. I have seen some photos from a guy who has been there and the scenes were really shocking. I doubt the common people would know what Bitcoin is at all.

Any country with internet can use bitcoin, but also need electricity  Grin
I think people moving to other countries and using bitcoin so if we will take all bitcoin users we will get that in every country will be bitcoin user.

Well, it's not exactly like this. If you live in a country like North Korea you'd most likely be put in jail for using Bitcoin or even executed if they make you "confess" that you are a Western spy. As for transactions which apparently were made from North Korea I think they were made by the government institutions not by ordinary people.

Most of them don't have modern device, and internet connection there is only for government or tourist there Roll Eyes
Even access internet illegally could make you arrested there.

Even bitcoin transaction that comes from north korea actually was made a tourist who visit there. He just broadcast transaction there, that's all.
Who knows if government secretly have/use bitcoin Grin

I was inspired by many topics, Do Arabs use Bitcoin, Can kids have bitcoin, How to motivate girl to have bitcoin etc, I think a real question unanswered until now would be

Which country does NOT use Bitcoin? And I am not talking about countries who have given a ban to Bitcoin, as I know Bitcoin cannot be truly banned. Should we say this country doesn't exist or you might have any ideas.

I think North Korea and Cuba are far from Bitcoin.

I think East Timor not use bitcoin, I never heard people from East Timor using bitcoin. Yeah North Korea too, they country is so strict about outsider.
probably. agree with you because north korea very closed with the name of culture from the outside. so if they can not open the internet. they may not be able to know and use bitcoin. It is unfortunate even when they follow the world cup. many media on north korea many  saying the champion is their country. This proves that the country has no internet

What is the definition of Bitcoin usage in a given country? Do you mean people holding Bitcoins or having an economy based on Bitcoin because there are a lot of different factors that can influence how much a country is invested in Bitcoin. For example there are countries where there are no places to spend your Bitcoins on products but there are people who own the crypto so does this mean this country doesn't use Bitcoin even though its citizens are in possession of coins? And I learned through the Trump wall story that Mexico has only 2 or 3 ATM machines in the whole country and no exchanges whatsoever. Is this enough to consider Mexico a country that uses Bitcoin or not?

I don't think that there will be a country where people will not use bitcoin, as nowadays internet is available in all over the world , in almost all the countries of the world so there will also some people who will use bitcoin.
So ther is no any country where bitcoin is not used.

I head the russian government is trying it's utmost best to ban bitcoin on all fronts. So in the end it will become maybe illegal there.
Which is not that bad since the russian economy is on it's downhilll already.

Any country can use Bitcoin, the main point of Bitcoin is that it is permissions, so it means that no mater what opinion the government of X country has about Bitcoin, everyone can still use it because there are always workarounds to end up using it. Now as far as demographics go, I don't think there is a way to know the amount of users in A or B country.
Sure any country can use bitcoin, but still there are countries developing now and were not technically improved, usage of bitcoin in such countries will be very rare and they have to move one step forward to adopt these new technologies.

I believe only there were internet is scarce or prohibited..
In every country which have normal connections with world and event in those who censor internet traffic, bitcoin can be found.
We need:
1. Electricity
2. Internet
3. Awareness about bitcoin
If those condition are satisfied bitcoin is there!
