I think staking is better then investing. For staking we will get some token so if price were down then it will reduce loss. One the other hand for investment if price up then you will get profit but if price were down then there has no way to avoid loss. So i think and i believe staking is better then investing.
As long as we are staking on an exchange that is reliable enough, it is good enough to bet the altcoins that we hold which will indeed bring us a few percent profit in a certain period of time. But the main problem is that many of the altcoins are constantly dropping in price. So that between the decline and the profit from staking there are still more losses due to the decline. But at least staking can minimize losses. Instead of just holding it without risking it. Some time ago I had another opinion. but this time my opinion is this one. But for a new altcoin I prefer not to invest nor risk it. Staking and investing for me is only suitable for altcoins with strong fundamentals like BNB and ETH.

good point in terms of staking instead of holding in a usual way, if you believe and trust the exchange that you are using and you also believe with your chosen asset, staking would be better than following your statement, there's decline in a current value and if you are just holding your coin without staking the only benefits will be if the market start to pump, unlike when you are staking then you will be able to receive that staking rewards that will add up to your earnings in case that the market will be nice to you and favor your position.

The problem right now is that if you are just using your trust it will kill your just imagine the FTX people trust it that is why a lot of people lost their money, that is why it is better you wont put your assets in exchange unlike before that it is really okay, even my self hold couple assets before but when the FTX issue rise up ive withdraw it all just to be safe

Putting your trust in others is not the way to survive in this market. It is well known that staking offers some benefits compared to holding and doing nothing. But how to choose and know that the centralized platform will be safe for us? What to take to guarantee us? Let's not forget why we need bitcoin, besides the profit it brings, we need it to move away from centralized systems like banks. But it would be ironic if we criticize banks and use centralized exchanges to deposit our bitcoins.

I would rather hold my bitcoins in a non-custodial wallet and find another way to accumulate more bitcoins than handing over my bitcoins to a third party.

My most important question: Which is better, staking or investing?
I don't know what other users must have said since I've not gone through the comments, but if i must be frank with you, I did tell you that your question is unnecessary, this is because both investing and staking go hand in hand, that is, they are like the same thing, though you can invest without staking, but you cant stake without investing.

Think of it this way, for you to stake bitcoin, you have to first of all invest in bitcoin, that is buy some bitcoin , for you to stake eth, you have to first of all invest in eth, if you wanna stake ADA, or any other type of altcoin, you have to first and foremost invest in that altcoin, you cant stake without first of all investing, so staking is like an added advantage to those who invest, since by staking, you get to earn more of that coin you invested in, or any other coin used to reward the stakers.

And have it in mind that doing staking on centralized exchanges is very risky, and not just centralized exchanged but any centralized platform that offer staking is very risky , you could loss your money if anything goes wrong with that exchange or platform , better invest and hold on your non custodial wallet if there is no decentralized staking option available for the coin or token, than stake on a centralized exchange/platform.

I won't easily conclude that staking is better than investing through other means, even staking itself is an investment. What I will argue out is that staking reduces the risk of losing, especially when a good coin is staked, but the amount to earn in staking is little, but earning money might be guaranteed. On the other hand, investments are many, and if it's about holding my coin, that's what I will personally go for. So, it depends on my personality and experience, and my reason is that I know how to trade very well. I know when to pump and dump, and by doing this, I could make more than x10 of what staking would offer me in a year.
Staking contains more risks, because you need to lock coins on some platform for a long period. And during this entire period, you cannot control your coins and do not have access to them, which I do not like at all. I want to always be sure that I have access to my investments, otherwise it will make me nervous. When I invest in bitcoin, I store it in a cold wallet and this allows me to have access to my coins always 24/7.
It depends on the angle at which you want to view the risk, locking my coin for a long duration of time is nothing to me and I do not consider that as more risk. That is why I wrote in my original reply that we have to go for the good coins, at least the rest of mind that it would not disappear will be there. After this, I do not care about the time of locking and I don't portray it as more risky, it's what I signed for.

The real risks are in the trading and investment, that amount could have been totally lost in those two while those who have locked their coins in staking still have hope.

Well, both are good options, in my opinion it would be almost the same, only with different methods, since to carry out staking you must have a certain amount of cryptocurrencies, specifically the one that you are going to use to make the investment, which will be retained for a certain amount. period of time for later if it starts to bear fruit, on the other hand, the other method gives you the opportunity to choose when to withdraw said investment and in which currency to withdraw it, that is, it is a little more practical or so I consider, because you could manipulate your assets at your whim and play with the market, something that cannot be done with staking. Now, I think that the type of investment that you want to make is left to the discretion of each person and what has been studied for both cases. But if you want to guide yourself a little more about which one could bring you better benefits, you can read this article that talks about staking and its difference in terms of investments, so that you can have a better vision of which one to choose. Personally, I prefer investment where I can have access to my money.

Staking mostly results in loss, I remember I staked in a pool on a DeFi exchange and based on liquidity the price movement was there.
At first, I profited because i went in quickly when the liquidity was around 10k USD then greed kicked in when i didn't unstake my investment when the liquidity reached 58k USD and that's the time when things went south and that's when that crypto's price went from 0.3 USD to 0.003 USD that was around 100x loss and i learned my lesson.
That was a big lose and it can also serve a lesson to others that don't have good knowledge about the market or how many projects tend to do there things. The market can be very volatile today and tomorrow nothing is moving. If we don't act fast when holding some certain coins, we might become a loser because things can get out of hands at anytime. There are some coins that I can never hold for too long because of the risk behind it. Cryptocurrency is all about being risk conscious and knowing when to buy or when to sell to avoid unnecessary loses that may incur later.

Staking is the process of investing in a project which is built on the PoS~Proof of Stake algorithm. Your coins are locked on their specified wallet for a period of time and you earn a percentage of your holdings in time intervals. Proof of stake is an alternative to the Proof of work algorithm used by the Bitcoin network to reward miners.
Staking is similar to mining on the Bitcoin network

My most important question: Which is better, staking or investing?
Staking is a form of investing, you'd need to specify what form of investment to compare it with.

Doesn't it seem like stakes and Farming are almost the same, lock your coins too? The only difference between them is that they are few and that is that in farming anytime you can take it out and stop what you are doing here, while in staking it is not like that as far as I know.

or depending on the platform to perform staking and farming. In my experience, because using dex is in Farming, you can stop it anytime and your profit can be cashed out immediately, and even when it comes to betting, it's almost the same, but with Binance, it's not like that because you have a duration choice to choose.

Investing is the best between staking and investing. Because in investing you can earn more money and investing will give you more benefits than staking. Because investing allows you to withdraw your half anytime at any risk which you cannot do in staking. Investing gives us complete freedom over money, which staking does not because, if we do staking, we have to hold the staking for a certain period of time and we cannot withdraw our money from staking at that time. Moreover, stalking is more risky than investing. So in my opinion it is better for you to invest for long term.

True, staking is certainly better than investing, with staking we can get additional income from the rewards provided by staking service providers, but I recommend choosing a staking program that is not time bound, because if we are time bound it will incur high penalty fees.
if you don't want to take risks the current situation is not good, what you say to do staking is definitely a solution, but maybe not the best. it must be remembered that staking income is very unfriendly to those who have not a large amount, staking is very beneficial if the amount staked is quite a lot and only then can the results be seen. In my opinion, trading is clearly the best solution with no small risk, and of course all cannot be the same in terms of this disclosure.

Yes, it is true that the amount of profit is a little higher by staking. However, between investing and staking, I prefer staking. By staking, you will get tokens and if the price of tokens increases, then if you calculate the tokens that you will get from staking, it will be much more.  There will be more profit. Again, if the price of the token is dumped after staking, then all the tokens obtained from staking should be sold together. One problem in staking is that the tokens cannot be sold until the staking time is over.
There are incredible gains you can make from.staking for long term, if you can find a very good project at it's early stage and you buy them for cheap price, you can split your bags into two and stake half for the long term and hold the other half for profit taking purposes, there are some people who missed taking profits in the bull market because their staking are still locked, it's better not to stake with all your bags.

Some new projects have nodes available, I heard that those who are earlier to gala nodes are today still making incredible gains, you can look into nodes too, as it's better than staking.

Can you kindly explain to me what's staking and investing? We need to understand the difference between the two for us to have concrete explanation about what op rely means. Can you stake your coins without investing in cryptocurrency? We need to invest so that we can stake out coins to earn more coins as an investor.

Buying coins and holding them is a form of investment and if we want earn more money while holding, we can decide to stake the coins for a few months or years to earn some good amount of profits especially when we have large holdings.

Yes that's right, staking is of course better than investing, when we are staking then we have done 2 things better than investing, we can get additional income from staking, even if we are staking new coins usually get high APY or APR, of course we also must be able to ensure long-term prospects if we want to stake.

Guys, just be careful with this. Many scammers are saying the same thing trying to convince you to start playing their games. Often you see your profits from staking only on the screen, but you can never actually withdraw anything. It's not a guaranteed "additional income", it's a risky thing, like gambling only without fun.

I myself see the return factor. if small yes. I undo it and it's better for me to trade short-term or long-term rather than keep our funds there and I also pay attention to the platform that I will use if everything I target meets the requirements for me staking. I think all the options provided can be used and it depends on the pattern and characteristics of each individual, some like it and some don't like to do it.

At first, I never support staking at all. To staking, you have to put your money in a 3rd party platform, and it's not in your control anymore. If the coins are not in control, you cannot claim that this is your coins. Things are worst if you start staking on centralized exchanges like Binance. We all know that SEC filed a complaint against Coinbase and Binance. You don't know what will happen to that platform and, most importantly, to your coins. I don't know about harmony at all, and I can say I am not interested to learn more about it because I wouldn't say I like staking.

If you talk about investment; that's far better. But, you have to know where are you putting your money. Of course I won't invest money on MLM business or on a Ponzi scheme to get quick profit.

The point is valid as you should always understand that matter, "not your wallet means not your coin" and regarding to that open case we also need to be careful as we don't know how the turn of events will affect your investment in case you stake your coin in that particular exchange, we never know how far SEC will really push the case against them.

Knowing and understanding how things are working behind is the very first thing each investor should know. The more knowledge you got, the more precise you can decide.

Both staking and investing can generate passive income. It's all matters on how you take your call and how you follow the project that
you are supporting as token of your investment.
