Martingale is bad idea
Better bet whole balance 3 times with 1.1x multiplier Grin

Sure that sounds safe.

ouch shit baby , I have experienced similar things like bet on very very safe odds with big big money (1.3 BTC on me is big Cheesy ) and lost it all . and now i realize it sucks also now i have rule on gamble that i shouldnt do yolo.

That's insane hard to believe someone would gamble that much.

And you think that is crazy? In real life casinos people have spent way more money in way more crazier ways, like the guy betting all his savings to a number or stuff like that, if you search on google you can find way crazier shit.

I am not sure if this guy is real.
It seems fake.
Nobody would risk that much in a dice site.

This is just complete madness and what happened after that, did he kept coming to the site or was he never seen again? I always knew that gamblers who win/lose a lot are a little weird and they run on their emotions but this is by far the craziest thing I have ever seen.

(Mental note to self: Start investing in JD )

He came back a few months later and sold his account for a few BTC. As I already said, he had made some losses bankrolling the site, which meant his account would not be due to pay any commission on bankroll profits for quite a while, which made his account worth something.

He didn't say very much, but it was good to hear that he was still around months later.

JD uses CLAM now. If you put coins into the bankroll the site will stake them for you (CLAM is proof of stake) and give you 90% of the staking reward, in addition to any profits or losses the site makes from players betting. It turns out that the staking rewards are bigger than the gambling wins and losses and so JD is mostly just a CLAM staking pool these days. Smiley

What was this guy trying to achieve?? He was already plus 5000 BTC  Shocked I guess some people really don't know when to stop. Investors must have made a fortune.

That's not clear.

He started off bankrolling the site, and doing well from that.

Then we had a big player come (nakowa) to the site and win a bunch. He kept winning, and that put mechs on tilt. He wanted to "get back at" nakowa. You see it all the way through the chat. They even made a 1 BTC bet at one point. Mechs seemed personally insulted by nakowa's winning.

So he won a bunch while nakowa was bankrolling the site, to try to hurt nakowa. But by doing so, he also hurt everyone else who was bankrolling the site, and felt bad about that. So it seems part of him wanted to win (to hurt nakowa) and part wanted to lose (to stop hurting everyone else).

Kind of a crazy situation to be in really.

Really? That's crazy. So he really lost all that money just because he felt bad for everybody else?

Something doesn't seem right about that situation,.

Every time I read that chat log I see someone that just cant stop. When it comes to strategies this is probably the only one that is working 100%. Get out in time. Its also the nature of the game to not know when "in time" is in advance. Just one more bet, just one more. What helped me immensely to keep it under control is that I dont play where I invest and only deposit as much as Im willing to play with. Different accounts for gambling and investing works out as well. When its gone, its gone, when Im up I withdraw everything. It also helps to just simulate a few millions rolls and see how many times I would have busted. Its all fun as long as the amounts stay small enough.

Both great points. BTC was worth around half then what it is now, so it was still a huge loss.

And what 0n0t0le probably doesn't realise is that the site didn't profit 7000 BTC from that bet because the bankroll was provided by hundreds of individual investors. The 7000 BTC that was lost was instantly distributed to the people funding the site's bankroll. It would have the site owner thousands of BTC in payouts to the bankrollers just to have a big fake bet show up for a while.

You can read the story leading up to that 7000 BTC loss in chat log format. He started with ~2k, worked in up to ~7k before losing it all. Also, "So I just spent 2 hours in a dumpster". Read it...

OMFG, I thought I saw big losses but this is the biggest of losses I have ever seen, even if BTC was half of what it is today, that would still mean it was around $826000.

My strategy nowadays is, I don't make too many small bets, If I am playing with 0.1, I make 2 bets of  0.05, If I win I get out, if I don't.. I still get out lol.

The most important strategy is you should know when is you should leave, no matter you win or lost Wink
indeed , but we as humans are always hard to do that.. haha always want more and more
even though we already know if we play longer it will lose  Undecided

That photo is at least a few years old. 7000BTC back then wasn't what it is right now.

It is not a few years old but just 1.5 years old. That 7000 btc was still worth a whooping $800,000 at that moment.

O god 7000 btc lose in gambling...may be its site admin?

I don't think Dooglus is dumb enough to lose his mind on gambling lol.

LMAO, to sandy, when you bet, you had better not ALLIN the money, it's possible you lose all within 3 bets, although 1.1X is very low.

Gamble principle:

1. don't all-in
2. don't gamble the money you can't lose.

So you see 7000BTC rich man, he lost all of his money with a very safe bet - 96% winning chance..  Cheesy

That photo is at least a few years old. 7000BTC back then wasn't what it is right now.

But he will disappointed if he know bitcoin price now Sad
Losing 7000BTC now is crazy

Imagine being the guy that paid 15 000 BTC for a pizza...

I'm better playing with high multiplier rather than low multiplier.
If we look on those image case , 96% chance is very high to win the game. But if your luck is down then it will took all of your wealth. At least learn from the past for the better future

Perhaps if you play with small amounts and not risk it far too much.
