It's okay to make certain members as mentors because they always post things that are very valuable for other users on the forum. I can't describe one by one the names of members who can inspire me, there are so many members on the forum that I like because they have really cool posts. I just hope they continue to be consistent in spreading knowledge to other users, and hopefully other users will be born who have extensive knowledge who can inspire other members who still have limited knowledge.

@Trofo and @Roycilik, they are very solid gambler is sportsbook and slots game respectively. I was inspired by their insights and knowledge about the bets they share that makes me pursue to become a disciplined gambler.

I’m not a well technical poster here regarding Bitcoin but I really love the gambling discussion board as place to share my experience(sad&joy) on gambling especially the game and rounds board that gives free rewards.

"Choose your heroes carefully, people can disappoint you"

Satoshi, for being one of the smartest people in recent history, for being passionate to contribute to humanity, and as such he got what he deserved, Bitcoin.

Theymos, for having a ph.D. and not bragging about it, for trying to stay neutral, for his dedication to the cause, for being so hard to read, because I haven't been able to identify his active alt, maybe just one though. 😉

Gmaxwell, for being one of the smartest people I have ever seen, for not bragging about his expertise, for tolerating me on his boards, (for having similarities with James Dean, a hard core porn star, I guess good for girls. Lol)

OG, for thinking his good deeds can wash off his sins without repenting for them, the audacity. For being truly himself, level headed Bitcoiner.

Vod, for trying to make amends despite being ignored, for years of contribution.

Faketoshi, for having the audacity for claiming to be satoshi while all he has done, is being a disgraceful fraud, biting the hands of the person who has provided the world with a marvelous tool, a tool to financial freedom, and yet him trying to line his pocket.

Timelord, for being a contributor for years for free, thinking we don't know he is probably a government agent. For sticking around despite being hated by most people, probably because he has actually lost his mind.

Symm, for doing the most honourable thing, internet/forum harakiri to restore his lost honour and reputation, for staying silent despite all the wrongful accusations/personal attacks against him, for trying to say sorry in a way, with his actions.

1miau, for being the funniest and cutest minihitler I have ever seen.

TSC, for being a standup guy, a principled one, for his dedication and contribution.

Bsv, for sticking around supporting a scam despite all the scandal and shenanigans, the audacity.

Cyrus the virus, for being so tolerant while babysitting me around, for being so mysterious and hard to read.

Prominent Bitcoin devs, for anonymously trying to lurk around, for their great teachings in the last year, for their silent contribution to the cause.

Staff members, for trying their best helping the community, for being neutral as much as they can.

Voiceless community members, the oppressed, for being patient and hopeful. Hang in there guys.

Digaran, for being honest, funny. Most importantly for trying to stop the next 7 pandemics in order for you guys not to get the vaccines in your butts. So if you wanna be safe, you will have to pay me 50 sats, if you can though. Lolzy.

DT abusers, for thinking they can get away with their transgressions against me and other oppressed members. The optimism, the audacity, the wishful thinking.

Illumi/masonry/elites cabal, for thinking they are gonna win. The stupidity.

The forum of keyboard warriors & crypto pro's!
Maybe no one or maybe four people? But I can try give you an answer:

I don't look how other behave and copy that behavior and use it my self I walk my own path and learning by myself, sometimes things go wrong and sometimes things goes good, but I am still in a learning process here and always trying to not do the same mistake twice but of course I pick some parts here and there that I see it's good
But people I have big respect for here is: nutildah, o_e_l_e_o, MinoRaiola & mikeywith and I don't try to be like them I am trying to be a better person then I was yesterday I only compete with myself.
But I respect them because they act in a way I really like and respect they don't fall for drama or shit like many other users do and they go their own path, they use the forum in a way I think is the right way and if they see something wrong they act and with all right to do so of course! That's a true human with a strong mind. And this is just my opinion so I hope nobody take it personal.

FYI: I don't know anyone of them or ever have had a conversation with them, but it's easy to see what kind of person some users are if you have some life experience.

I wouldn't kno why there's no follow button in the forum. However, there are members you come across and you can't help reading everything they have to say because they're so cool, and valuable. There's a guy I cam across his posts a few years ago and since then, he has left an indelible impression in my mind. Since it's holiday and we all have some time to spend on BTT, I'd like us to appreciate such people while asking Theymos to add a follow button just the way we have the ignore button.

Who has impressed you the most in the forum? I mean someone you'll alway read all their posts whenever you see them. For me, he is a real champ ...
Mocaccino. I wouldn't miss lose him in BTT for a million bucks. Very knowlwdgeable.
Who is the member you'd read everything they have to say whenever you can?
What an accolade! I must say that I know the guy also, he is okay and he takes his time to explain when he posts. About the follow/favourite button, I think it is a welcome development that is long overdue. But this can't be capital-intensive, or should I say will need more time and expertise. The whole system would be overhauled or changed as the case may be since the present software judging by the outlook may be unable to do more than we see now. I had my suggestions on some things in the past too, but none was implemented since it might be more difficult than I think.

And for the members who I love to read their posts most, I do not have any, but I try to read the posts of those who have a catchy title and attractive write-ups, nothing more. Nonetheless, I appreciate all the above-average guys here, we are all trying without any exception, and without us, the forum can't be what it is now.

None of us trying as much as possible to write quality posts is useless!

I was the most inspired by Phinnaeus Gage / Gleb Gamow, aka Bruno. He was kind of a cornerstone personality of the forum for years. There was nobody like him before and they'll be nobody like him after. He really knew how to do an investigation into a crypto scam, mastering the art of what he called "Google-Fu," or being able to coax Google into providing him with the information he was looking for.

Bruno didn't use the trust system to tag scammers, of which there were plenty of back in the day. Now we still have scammers but they are low-level and confined to places like Digital Goods and Currency Exchange. Back then scams used to take place on a much grander scale. Instead of issuing negative trust, Bruno would simply obliterate them where they stood with evidence of their scammings, yelling at them until they left the forum. It was actually quite effective and highly entertaining to watch.

Not to mention he was funny as fuck.

Hey, Mr. Shit For Brains, you now see how it works? The larger and more colorful the font, the more merit one receives. Case in point, I received more sM for the post I quoted above than you have in total. Apologies for not apologizing for sticking it up your ass further but that's the type of guy I'm.

One more thing in cause you missed it, FUCKTARD. I just won the reward for BitcoinTalker of the Year --> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.33729235

What was the value of 1BTC when this happened?
It's been a long time, a few years back. I left him a feedback for it and I can see it is dated on May 31st 2019. I checked the price against USD and it's definitely over $8,000 per bitcoin at that time.

Man returned 500 BTC.

I believe it was around $8,000 per BTC when I "returned" the coins.  This was after it hitting a peak of nearly $20,000 per coin a couple years earlier.  However, of all the things I've done for users of this forum, returning the coins was easily the most simple and least time consuming task (although the harassment I received for being a treasurer was shocking).  I would point to me being the manager of the only project from the long gone Global Bitcoin Securities Exchange (GLBSE) to continue running and returning funds to investors to this day (more than 10 years), or the inventor of the Minted Seats coins as well as dozens of precious metals Bitcoin themed coin releases, or an escrow agent with an address that has transferred nearly a billion dollars worth of BTC at current prices as much larger accomplishments.

Still it is an honor to be mentioned in this thread.

I was inspired by Gavin Andresen, Roger Ver, Casascius, and mjbmonetarymetals to do a lot of the things I've done here.

That user isn't banned, you can check in: https://bpip.org/Profile?id=2627711 if you are not sure.
Even though BPIP not showed he's get banned, but I trust the moderator in this case since he have a button to ban someone.
The user Symmetrick has been banned, so haters of this user can breathe a sigh of relief. So discussion of this issue has lost its relevance.
I completely missed the topic this was posted in, but i have read it and now i understand why it doesn't show up in BPIP. The user wasn't manually banned by a moderator and that account is only locked (and not banned), because that user used the "reset password via secret question" which got the account locked (most likely done on purpose).

I do completely understand how the ban on mixer works. Not only advertising the mixer in signatures or avatars, but if you mention the URL link, you will get banned too.

That user isn't banned, you can check in: https://bpip.org/Profile?id=2627711 if you are not sure. I guess you think that user is banned because they still have a mixer signature and avatar on, but that's not how the mixer ban works. Mixer signatures have been wordfiltered already and if the user doesn't remove it, they'd be blanked in a few days or so. A user would only be banned if they continue advertising mixer signatures and avatars, i.e. by wearing a new mixer signature or avatar.

satoshi. Without a doubt.

He was the man who minded only his own business. No dramas, no shenanigans, no curse words, no sig camp spam, no bitching. He was all about math, coding, cryptography etc. He ain't buying any of your bullshit. He was the real D-E-A-L. The R-E-A-L strong silent type. He was the man who cleaned his own closet. Coded his own node. "Can I do this, can I do that, is it against the law, what if he gov don't liek eet?" Zero fucks given.

There are some other people which come pretty close but they ain't no satoshi. Nobody can be.

I can't single out just one. Many members contribute in their own way in various directions and discussions. I see the forum not as a place where you can read the posts of one or a few prominent users, but as a BTC-community in which everyone contributes as best they can and makes this community stronger. It often happens that even beginners and low-ranking users voice very interesting and useful thoughts. This is where all the power of the forum lies - in the users, which makes the forum decentralized in a sense.

I hope it will not surprise you to know that you are a user I don't skip his post whenever I meet it. Not that you are a bitcoin savvy or an overly intelligent human. But, your approach to every post and response to questions is different, full of audacity and sometimes may sound rebellious to the weak minds. It happened often in the Best_change campaign thread. Then, Bestchange on his side is an intelligent human being who understands the importance of constructive criticism and how to use same to propel his business. Congratulations my BTT Hero, your Christmas gift was superb.

@Op, what happens is that at different times, we have different inspirers. I mean someone you inspired you this year might not be next year. As we progress in the forum we meet different personalities. Some who inspired me as a newbie no longer inspire me now while I have discovered new personalities. Such is life.
I have voted in the end of year voting thread.

There are too many members who do great work here and it will be difficult to pick and choose who inspired the most during the year.

o_e_l_e_o is one member who is always reliable when it comes to the technical aspects of Bitcoin. Powerglove has been quite instrumental for the forum in general and brought out more changes than I have experienced in my other years on the forum. CryptopreneurBrainboss is also an ever influential member of the forum, and so many other names that are too many to be mentioned.

Yeah, he is a good dude, I also read some topics of him and replied to them, and talking about myself, I have many mentors here, and some of them are from the local community and some are top contributors to this forum from whom I have learned a lot. I have learned a lot not from a single member but from many, so I don't think it is worth mentioning them all.

I just will say, the top contributors with 1000+ are the ones who gave me real knowledge. That's it.

Talking about knowledgeable members of this forum, I bet we cannot count them all at the same time because you will keep making discovery of so many others, there are people who have made it a determination to build up themselves and making quality contributions to the forum e even at their own expense, so as for me, any reputable member that is committed to the forum development is an inspiring members because you will be surprised seeing something impressive from someone you least expect one while those whom you may think should maintain their pedigree may not be as up to expectations anymore.

This is my champ: Symmetrick

Name me an another user who have 11K merits, 15K+ posts, participated in top campaign, have many positive trusts, respected by many users, actively tagging cheaters or abusers, but...

He decided to delete all of his posts, delete all feedback he left, and wipe all his trust list, now he get banned.

I don't think there's an user like him who want to let everything he built to be completely destroyed.
