Personally, a a bettor, I find it very stressful when watching the game you are betting especially if it will end up a losing bet.

If we have the same experience, how do you cope up with that problem, after all, gambling should be fun but why we have this kind of feeling that we feel disappointed when our bet loses?

Honestly, watch a sports match without betting then the satisfaction won't reach 100% lol. I will definitely immediately place a bet if the team I idolize is competing and if the team that I chose went loses, then I don't really bother thinking about it, I will accept the loss. There's no point in thinking too hard about a bet we've lost, move on from that and continue again tomorrow, that's the best way to treat the trauma caused by losing gambling.

I think it all depends on each person, I myself will not place a bet even if the team I idolize is playing, because I think that just enjoying the game is enough, especially since the idolized team is a strong team where they will definitely show their best game. and if for betting I don't think so, because I myself don't dare to take risks, therefore I think it's better to just enjoy the flow of the match.

But with this one I agree, when we get defeated, we have to accept it well, don't make it a burden on the mind because there is no point if we think about the defeat that has occurred. also if we think hard about the defeat that has occurred it will not change the situation. so move on from what has happened, because there is still tomorrow and other days that might be luckier.

Don't bet if you feel stressed. Sports betting is not for those types of bettors.

It's just common to experience to feel disappointed when we lose. But to feel pressured and stressed, stay away from sports betting.

Gambling should be fun, maybe right, but if you do gambling for fun, you shouldn't be disappointed when you lose. Simple as that.

that is true, it is not all the time that we will win on our bets. sure, there will be losses but that's part of gambling. so if you are not ready for it, maybe this is not for you. acceptance of a loss is a must in this game. i don't know any gambler who only experienced winning and not losing a cent.

i guess, it is more fun and thrilling to watch a particular game if you have money on the line. may it be small or big. you are more focused on other details as well as you need to be attentive of other underlying factors that can influence the outcome of the game. like the lineup of athletes, their reputation, current injuries, weather, and other factors.
There are different preferences of different people or bettors; some like to watch a sports game with a thrill, like having money on the line; some like to watch the game and enjoy it; some like to watch a sports game while stressed or getting anxiety because there is money at stake. See, there are different kinds of bettors and watchers; it depends on what you want and what you can do. If you are a person who gets stressed and anxious right away, don't put money into a bet because you will not enjoy the match. It's normal to be disappointed, but if you join in a bet, what do you expect? But if you are a person who likes to experience thrills, then betting on a sports match is your thing. You get to enjoy the match and also have the chance of winning the bet. Not all of us can handle the thrill and anxiety, so if you know you can't, then don't.

It means you are not enjoying anymore your sports betting. Why feel stressed when watching games that you have a bet on? Just enjoy the game. It's just normal to react to being disappointed when we lose because that was part of the gambling. If you want to gambling for fun, every bet you will make should just be a normal situation for you and you are just enjoying the game no matter what.

If I place a bet on a particular game, I always don’t like following the match up, this is because watching the match gives me more concern that I could have possibly feel less relax and allow the game to be over unless I want to end up cashing the game out when it’s still playing and when I think I have a higher chance of taking something home.

If not I just place my bet wait for the games I bet on to finish playing and later I go check on the game result before I hit the casino to confirm if my games play accordingly or not and sometimes I also check if any of the game was also void by the sport book provider.

If you feel stressful, it means you don't enjoy the match. I think you are better to avoid watching the match of your betting team. You prefer to focus on other matches that you don't bet on the teams. Honestly, I am a bit different with you. When I watch my betting team, I feel the match becomes more challenging. That's because we have 2 possibilities at the end of the match, earning money or losing money.  Grin

Based on my experience, when you are watching a game you bet with, you'll be able to experience mixed emotions, and that's normal which I think that would give a thrill in sports betting.
I also experienced it. When I watched the match of my betting team, I can feel more emotional. However, this never makes me to be uncontrollable, I still have a good self-control. If it makes us to be uncontrollable, we prefer to avoid watching our betting teams.

Even if you are not betting, lets say you are just hoping a team to win the game but the result is not as you expect, it will be still stressful especially when it happens to your favorite team. In addition, watching a game while you also placed a bet on the game, it can be both add more fun and add more pressure/stress for you. It will add more fun when you are watching and you see that your bet seems to be a win bet but it will add more stress if the game is running unexpectedly. It is normal by the way, what we need to do is to control ourselves, do not hope too much, do not bet too much and bet on the game as a motivation for you to stay awake while watching the game Smiley

There is an emotional stress attached to watching the game you bet on. I do what I can to get busy during this time. Where I cannot, I simply watch it with friends to douse the tension. While there are times when I say, fuck it and watch the game.

Lossing the bet hurts and I go throughout the next hour or so after the game cussing out the team, the player who I feel is responsible for the loss or the coach. After an hour or so, I feel better and that is all. I get back to my normal life.

I think it's normal for me to be disappointed, it's really included in everything, especially in gambling because we're talking about money here. Maybe set a budget that you can afford to lose so that somehow you won't regret what you gambled on. For me, it's more fun to watch if you also have a bet, here you can see the excitement of whether the one you bet on will win or not because sometimes there are times when you actually win. I get bored when I watch other people bet, I don't know why so I don't watch online or streamers.

I hadn't even thought about this before. It seemed to me that it was more fun to watch with a bet, but apparently I was wrong. I presented those recent matches that I watched with and without bets. So, those matches that I watch with a bet influence me, since sometimes I can bet against my favorite team because, according to my calculations, they should lose. When a match takes place, I begin to experience double feelings: on the one hand, I want my bet to win, and on the other hand, I feel sorry when my favorite team loses points. Thanks to your topic, I came to the conclusion that a match without a bet is still better than a match with a bet. Because when you watch, you feel real emotions without money, just for the sake of sporting interest, we must keep this in our hearts.

I always bet with the amount of money I can afford to lose so I am not move even when losing while watching the game I bet on, however in most cases I do accumulated betting so that means 4 or 5 matches outcome combined would determine the fate of my bet, therefore watching one of the game wouldn't affect me after all the outcome of other matches would also determine my chances of winning, though I specialized in over 1.5 goals type of betting in soccer that means I always bet in a strong team scoring atleast 2 goals in a match against a weak team or both team scoring a goal apiece thus I can confidently watch that kind of matches after placing a bet.

Even without a bet involved, the activity of watching sports matches, especially football, is fun. Especially if you watch the match with friends. and if I use betting in it, the match I watch will be even more exciting and challenging.

I quite like sports betting, because by placing bets, I can get a sensation when watching the match, and this is like boosting my adrenaline which makes the match even more tense.
However, even so, I can't afford to place bets every time I watch a match. Because clearly this can be detrimental to me and when I bet too often, I'm afraid this will become a bad habit that can lead me to become addicted to betting. and when it becomes addictive, it will be a very difficult thing for us to solve.
And I personally only bet one to two times a week with a certain amount that I'm prepared to lose.

Yah what a nice topic to discuss about, I don't like to watch a match live mostly when I bet on it because most times it chokes, like one might get frustrated if he or she stake a bet and he or she's watching it and the team the bettor stake on start losing.
It might even put a gambler in a big pressure, so I am trying to be safe as I can't stand a chance of watching the team I bet on lose. However, there is a big difference between watching for fun and watching just because you get on the team, if I don't bet on any of the team, I will feel relaxed watching if because i didn't stake on any of the team.
Although, there are a lot of gamblers that live to watch their bet live but I do t know why, though.

It can certainly be an unpleasant situation: not to seek positive feeling from betting but all the contrary: to accumulate stress. Honestly, when I have decided to bet on world cups and also to watch the match with my friends or family members, it only enhances positively the experience I have had during those moments.
If I met someone who did not enjoy watching matches they have betted on, then I would advice them not to bet or decrease their wager, to be honest. Gambling and betting have and very important fun/entertainment components on them, so there would be detrimental to continue to partake in them if one is only suffering from negative feelings while waiting for the result of the matches to come out.

If you believe you enjoy your favorite sports without putting a stake on the results, then it would be better just not to do so with a while, perhaps some months, and then start to bet again using much less money, until you find the equilibrium or the right amount which allows you not to feel anxiety or stress while watching the events unfold on your TV. Just my personal opinion, though.  Wink

In fact, I think that clarifications need to be made. To begin with, let's completely discard the case when we watch the game of our favorite team or the team we like - it is obvious that we will experience emotions here without additional stimuli.

Now as for the bets - they can be either frivolous ones made just “for laughs and entertainment” or serious ones, when firstly you risk a significant amount for you, and secondly you spent a lot of time to find an outcome that in your opinion has value and trying to make a profit. I think it’s not worth clarifying that the outcome of the game on which we made a serious bet worries us and can really put us under stress.

How do I deal with this? It may be hard to believe, but I prefer not to watch the game online and just spend time (with or without benefit hahaha) and only when I know for sure that the game has already ended I check the result. And I do this even with games of my favorite teams (if the game has serious tournament significance or something like that) - for me there is no problem watching the game in the recording knowing the result or simply not watching it at all, knowing that the result will upset me. Yes, this is a rather selfish approach and “real” fans may condemn this behavior, but I try to avoid stress, disappointment and bad mood  Grin

It's normal to feel disappointed when gambling and losing, It's annoying when I am gambling, for example, on football, and the club that I place bet on is losing. It's better if I don't even watch the match, but there is always fun and joy whenever I am gambling, and the club that I am betting on is winning. I don't think anyone will be happy losing their bet and watching the match, even if you are gambling with a small amount of money, but some people might not care about following up on their bet even when they are losing. When gambling, sometimes you will be happy and sometimes you will feel disappointed, even if you are gambling for fun and not for the sake of money.

I totally get invested in a game when there is something at stake. When there isn't, I just try to enjoy every moment of it and savor it as much as I can. It becomes stressful when the team you bet on isn't performing the way you expect them to be based on the lines that was provided and based on the information you have gathered. Then of course, it becomes a different story when you win the bet and get something by watching your team crush it.

For me, you kinda feel the thrill, excitement, and fun when you bet while watching because when you win your money can be doubled and it's very overwhelming to feel and want to bet more. But sad to say that nothing is permanent you win and you lose and then start to feel like you have to win your money back.

I believe that when it comes to gambling our fate relies on luck and if luck was not on your side, accept the fact that you lose, and when we lose we get stressed but then decided to bet again.  Cheesy The reality is that gambling is very addicting, that when you started it there is no way to get out or there is no turning back.

Maybe others may prefer watching the games without any bet especially in sports as they can simply focus and at the same time enjoy watching the sports without overthinking with their money or any pressure and distraction.
Their only goal is to watch the game not to bet with the game. Smiley
Yeah true, it must be the same for everyone but then the excitement could turn into fear as well. When you bet on a team to win, if that team is winning then the game is more entertaining and I can understand that, there is nothing wrong with that and it's normal, however if you bet on a team to win and they are not winning, or even losing, then the fear becomes even bigger, normally when a team loses, even if you are a big fan of that club the most you gonna feel is disappointment, we all had our teams end up losing, it is normal part of football, sometimes they play like shit and lose, it's normal.

However, if you bet on that game then you are going to lose your money and that's not easy, it's going to become much worse.

Simple answer: it is because money is involved.

Take away the monetary aspect of gambling, then everything would be bleak and boring. The potential of a person winning big is what makes gambling so attractive to users. Given that a monetary aspect is involved, this also contributes to the adrenaline feeling whenever people bet and risk their money. After all, gambling is mostly about luck- watching your odds win/lose can make you feel both excited and anxious at the same time in which some people crave for such feeling.

In conclusion, when money is involved, then people would feel anxious about their bets. If they win the bet, then they would feel ecstatic; but if they lose, then the feeling of regret and revenge are mostly the initial reaction to people.
Agree into this sentiment on which if there would be no money involved then just like you said that everything would really be boring because you do really know that you cant really be able to gain something which is unlike when you are really that you are putting up some bets on which you could really be able to find yourself into a condition on which you are really that expecting something out of your bet.
You do know that you could really be able to win up money or lose money and as a human being then it would really be just that so normal that you would really be having those kind of approach
and reactions whether your team is winning or losing. We are just humans then those reactions are really that evident. This is where entertainment do starts on which betting on something
which you do know that you could win up money or not.

It wont be called betting in the first place if you arent that putting up some money on those teams or players that you are rooting for them to win.
The only important thing on here is that on the time that you do make out bets then you should really be that mindful or sensible on the spending you are making.
You should not make yourself that impulsive because this is where mostly people do mess up on the time that they do make out impulsive bets.
