The truth is, both of them hate bitcoin probably until now. Until Trump started to change his perspectives about bitcoin and said those things in favor and support with bitcoin, which I don't know until when. Although some would say that people can change just like Trump, but to be honest, there's something in him telling me that everything is part of the plan.

Well, Biden is clearly not supporting bitcoin, but if Trump is really honest with his support with bitcoin, then it should be him who'll be the next president. Not Biden, nor the other candidates as well.

The senile fossil hates Bitcoin, Trump loves it!   Cool
It's always funny to see people believe the nonsense politicians tell them during elections Cheesy

Both of these two old men dislike Bitcoin because as POTUS they cannot control it, tax it, censor it, etc. So their stance is going to be pretty much the same with some details being different. More censorship, more KYC, more restrictions, more mixers and exchanges being shut down, ... is coming no matter who wins the upcoming election.

Trump doesn't seem to be someone who loves Bitcoin just because he likes it, he just uses it as political fodder and doesn't really stand by it. But compared to other candidates, at least Trump offers better odds on Bitcoin if he is elected president - so I would say that Trump might be the best candidate right now for Bitcoiners, even if he is not as good as his promises, but let's be realistic and give a chance to someone who at least promises something good for Bitcoin.

In my opinion, this is just each person's individual perspective on Bitcoin, whereas voting is another matter entirely. It relates to the vision and benefits of a country and all of humanity.
I also think that Bitcoin cannot be linked to voting for one of the American presidential candidates because that would happen purely without having anything to do with Bitcoin. And even if Bitcoin holders and Bitcoin enthusiasts prefer one of the current presidential candidates, of course each of them also has a special reason for this. Apart from that, everyone has also seen how the current president is performing so that they can make quite clear comparisons when they want to vote for other candidates.

I honestly do not think Bitcoin needs their validation to grow, we all have seen from past records that both Donald Trump and Biden have never been fans of Bitcoin. Donald Trump in particular has seized every opportunity given to him to express his hatred for bitcoin. I do not really care if he is now a repented sinner or he is trying hard just like every other politician to gather supporters to himself. If he has succeeded in pulling some Bitcoin enthusiasts to himself, then good for him. I strongly that Bitcoin will still grow stronger with or without some fake support from these political leaders.

as you said, bitcoin will grow with or without them, because basically the power of bitcoin does not come from their central power, but from the community that made it exist until now. even when they issue regulations that contradict what they previously said about bitcoin, it will only have a temporary effect on the market, but will not have a significant impact on the development of bitcoin in the future.

so whoever is elected, bitcoin will continue to grow.

Both are actually anti-bitcoin in the previous years. But recently, since Trump is trying to build a connection with the bitcoin community, I guess it's one of his strategies to shift into bitcoin to support bitcoin and the whole team. I don't know if this is for real or not, but if Trump is really serious on it, then there's no need for debate anymore as it's clear for us who should win the presidential election. We're lucky already if in the long run Trump will sit in his position and will continue to support bitcoin and promote its welfare and development.

But there is no guarantee Trump will do anything since, once he is elected, he will have no reason to care about Bitcoin holders. He will only do things that benefit himself, which means that if he personally holds Bitcoin, he'll be pro-Bitcoin, but if somebody tells him (correctly) that making TrumpCoin the official crypto of the USA and outlawing Bitcoin here will make him a trillion dollars, then that's what he will do.

Trump is not pro-Bitcoin, Trump is pro-Trump.

Who is the right guy to vote if it all depends on their stance on Bitcoin. Can we carefully read in-between the lines?

First off, let’s just get one thing straight- Joe Biden doesn’t have the faintest idea of what crypto even is! I’m sure he doesn’t even know what it means and if you ask him all he will want to do is go and get an ice cream cone and mumble gibberish under his breath

I think neither presidential candidate really cares about Bitcoin. What they care about is getting more voters. I think a lot of people from the Bitcoin community like Trump because he made himself seem very pro-Bitcoin. They hope he will do good things for Bitcoin which will make the price go up.
I agree, neither of them likes bitcoin or cryptocurrency at all, the purpose of everything they do and promise is just because they want us to vote for them. But at least former President Trump has publicly supported bitcoin, and if he is elected and fulfills his promises, we will have a chance to develop further. Meanwhile, with the current administration, they are even trying to raise taxes and impose more regulations to slow our growth. So, it is not surprising that more crypto investors expressed support for candidate Trump than the current administration.
This is probably the case, in fact I believe that they do not "dislike" bitcoin, I just believe that both of them are nearly 80 years old, which means that there is a chance that we may actually consider the situation as "they do not care about it at all" type of situation.

This doesn't mean that it is going to happen or not, it just means that we are going to end up with something that will take a while for them to realize what's going to happen. If we can do that, then we could potentially end up making something that will take a while longer. Trump and Biden probably just ignore it, they don't care, it is not on their agenda, personally they have no opinion about it at all.

Misleading. There was a crypto related hack in 2020 on which joe's tweet was a response to. Twitter accounts of many famous people were hacked, and promoting a bitcoin scam, on which the real users had to warn their followers not to fall into. He didn't came out of the blue just to say he hates bitcoin. Everyone who was worried about their followers had to respond.

And this is unrelated, but Trump's twitter account wouldn't have been that hard to hack eiher: https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-55337192

They are both not in support of bitcoin but are refusing to be outright about it so it doesn't trigger the population whos into bitcoin not to support them, for me, if their victory is crypto dependent then in clear terms, neither of them should win because obviously neither of them will promote crypto currency to thrive in their rule. if i am to vote based on their concerns with cryptocurrency, I'm voting non i will want someone who can state in clear terms their support from crypto currency then we can be sure he mentioned it and to hold him by his words if the need arises.

You are right about politicians and everyone knows it, they are really untrustworthy and the votes of crypto investors are not the main factor in deciding who gets elected. But we only have 2 options and no third option here, if you had to choose who would you choose?

One person is declaring support for bitcoin on all fronts, anytime, anywhere. A person who has introduced many regulations to prevent the development of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, they appear to dislike bitcoin and have no intention of ending the repression of crypto. As a bitcoin investor, who do you think presents a clearer opportunity for us? I think it's not too difficult to figure out who we should vote for.

None, if you want to vote for Bitcoin, it's better to vote this guy. AFAIK he haven't talk anything bad about Bitcoin, although politician is always a politician, you can't really trust anything come from their mouths. If I could say, Trump will 100% win the election since he's always stand out than the other candidates.
But Bitcoin is not included in the choices, although I think what you really mean is Biden because his name is also close to it and your description is about this guy because I heard positive comments about him before from both the Bitcoin community and outside it. I also heard that Trump have said negative things in Bitcoin in the past, although last time there is a post here which states that Trump is warmly supporting Bitcoin once again. That could be true, I mean for a while only because we know that the US election is coming once again. You know, he want to get the sympathy of the Bitcoin users, as he knows that there are lots of them. And if we will check the date of the image in the first post, we will see that the date is still from the year of 2019.

I respect your opinion about Trump but I think, the reason on why Trump is more trendy than the rest of the candidates, is because of his shady doings and negative opinions about something that are not really negative (BTC for example). Sorry about that if you find that offensive but anyways, I think you should pick Joe Biden instead of Donald Trump because this is where your first few sentences are saying and only/also to not contradict your whole post.

If they were actually the ones who made the tweets,

Biden used the definite statement that he will "never," while Trump just said he is not a fan. Someone who is not a fan can later change their opinions and views on something when they get to understand that thing and then like it.

With "never," you have likely closed any chance to even change your mind, so I'd say Biden has a stronger negative view about bitcoin than Trump has.
You have a good point here. Biden has probably closed any chance of liking bitcoin but with Trump, there's always a big chances from not a fan to become a fanatic and now he's very supportive with bitcoin and its community. I don't know if this is just part of the play or he's really into bitcoin, but one thing is certain, we will find out everything once the election is over. But for now, let's just focus on how to vote wisely. Biden and Trump have both potentials to win, but seeing Trump has become more open-minded to cryptocurrency particularly bitcoin, I think that will make him gain an edge over Biden while winning the hearts of the bitcoin community.

Biden is not "anti-Bitcoin" and has never made any policy decisions that would indicate anything of the kind.

Bitcoin went up 500% under president Biden, and the reason for that is he simply kept things as they are and put criminals like SBF in prison, keeping the market safe for average investors.

Trump is a known liar who will say absolutely anything in order to get elected, even if what he said one day contradicts what he said the day after that. Bitcoin might well be made illegal under Trump if somebody convinced him he would personally profit from that.

no one hates bitcoin or loves bitcoin more, both move based on their own interests and their party. if you say that trump is quite pro bitcoin, then you should see his statement on bitcoin when he was president, you can see how what he says now is the opposite of what he said before, and now it makes him only use pro-bitcoin for his own interests. and if you say that biden is not pro bitcoin, then you should see how the bitcoin market is currently growing in the us and how bitcoin regulations there are being improved.

so about bitcoin, these two candidates are actually the same, there is no guarantee that trump or biden can make bitcoin better there and not get discrimination.

When you see people hate something like Bitcoin, it's either because they didn't have the opportunity to buy get it early like others or they are afraid the attention it's getting because it's going to affect their own place of wealth which is the traditional finance they keep modifying every year so it wouldn't collapse. Most of these men only understand the system they were but it seems they are now woke and because it's now a political movement and they have to accept it in their manifesto.

I personally don't believe them, anyone that want to donate Bitcoin to them is free to donate to them but I have nothing to give. It is unbelievable for people to even think a man like Trump that has serve the US for 4 good years with all the money he has accumulated will come out to say that he needed the support of people and they are donating their hard earned bought Bitcoin to sponsor another person political ambition, this is the highest level of foolishness I have seen in a while but I pray he win so I can he wrong.
