I don't want my family to know that I'm into gambling. I've lost big and I was into debt out of gambling. I've managed with some other reason. If my family come to know that I was into gambling, surely they'll understand that the loss of mine have happened through gambling. This could lead to unwanted talks and might create problems. It need time to settle all my debts and once after that I'm free to expose myself to anyone.

I hide my gambling activities from my parents not because they are going to do anything or consider me irresponsible but I do it out of respect for them. Dad and mom never gambled, so I do not think it would be wise to discuss or reveal that I dabble into it once in a while. It adds or subtracts nothing. Besides I am a responsible gambler. Another sets of persons I hide my gambling activities from are strangers. People I just meet for the first time. I try to have a broad discussion with them first to get a feel of who they are, their ideas and philosophy before even making any personal revelation about myself.

Some gamblers keep their gambling activities secrete from people they have close relationship with. Having it in mind that if these people know they are gamblers,it might bring down their reputation or make them look wasteful. I hide my gambling activities from my Mom the reason is that she hates gamblers and calls them irresponsible people from her own perspective.

Definitely my children since I don’t want them to get into gambling and think that it will create them a bright future. Although I know they may still get into gambling when they reach a mature age but as much as possible, I don’t want myself to be the first to influence them on that. It’s not that I will make this a secret forever, but I know one day I will tell them that I am a gambler when their minds are mature enough to understand. Are you such gambler ?

I mean; even if i were a gambler, why should I hide 'em skills? Why should I pretend? People choose things over anything, - but yes, that's just their choice. If I decide to smoke hurricane- Colorado, no one can possibly stop me -FORCEFULLY - except for some decent piece of advice from CLOSE friends, that could help the situation. My point is, no one controls another person's act or emotions (as long as it's not above the legitimate law).

There are people who are really that secretive when it comes to things that they are doing specially with gambling which is highly frowned upon as a bad thing because people been seeing about that addictionSandra 💇
which gambling could make which it isnt really surprising that they would really be having this kind of treatment and this is why people would tend to hide it out, but there were also people who doesnt really care
and would not hide on what they are doing.They've been thinking that its their money that had been spent and there's nothing wrong on what are the things that he must do.
Its none of their business and this is simply saying or telling that it does really depend on certain personalities.

People's stigma against gamblers is still labeled as a bad person, I don't know what it's like in other places but at least in my place it's like that because there are still many people who think that gamblers are the image of bad people and have no future and still think that gamblers are bad people. gambling as something that is actually taboo to do in public there is even a law.
So indeed with this I personally clearly keep it a secret from people unless that person is the same gambler as me.

I have the right to keep my gambling activities a secret. It doesn't matter if it's my parents, my friends or my significant other, my gambling is my gambling and I won't reveal to anyone that I gamble. This is my money and I can do with my money whatever I want. I don't ask other people for money, I don't borrow money from anyone for gambling purposes, so I'm not going to be held accountable for my gambling activities.
You do have a responsibility to your family, but if you spend a small percentage of the family budget, you shouldn't have a bad thing happen to you.
My wife knows that I gamble and she understands it, because I have learned to fully control my emotions and actions when I gamble. I don't spend a lot of money and if I have money problems I just stop gambling for a while.

Since I only gamble with cryptocurrencies and so I prefer to stay crypto from everyone about it. Specifically with my family and law's cause even then it only take for entertainment they will took a bad impression about me cz in our society it is still seen as a crime. And I don't wanna get colored on theirs eyes so I am always trying to keep my gambling hide from them

Nope, I don't care whether people around me will know if I gamble or not, however, I also don't bother telling people that I'm a gambler to avoid any conflicts if in any case, they are against it. But, if ever they did ask me if I'm a gambler, I would openly say that I am and don't care whether they like it or not.Who are these people you hide your gambling activities from ?

Anyways, I can imagine some scenarios about why people don't like them to be exposed as a gambler since it could affect their reputation and their professions. Also, people could freely assume if you got broke or rich and point it to your gambling activities even if it's entirely false.
But for me, as long as my gambling activities don't affect the people around me as well as my profession, I will not be ashamed of my gambling endeavors.

I used to hide my gambling activities from my mother before but later on, I was forced to tell her the truth because she keeps on asking on where I am getting my money where in fact I don’t have a stable job. From then on, my family is already aware that I am a gambler. And since I know in myself I don’t spend too much on gambling, so I don’t have to keep it as a secret to anyone else. It's a good answer. We have the right to privacy. Imagine a doctor asking if you need privacy because he could just tell everyone in the waiting room what you came for.
My friends and my wife know that I gamble from time to time and that's it. I don't want my neighbors to know, I don't want people on my social media to know, I don't want my parents to know. I'm not ashamed just don't want anybody preaching to me or looking at me like I'm an addict which I'm not.

My parents know I am a casual gambler and they’re not against about it. Even my wife knows too. But when it comes to my children, i don’t want them to know that I am a gambler because gambling for them brings negativity in life. So as much as possible, I want them to see me as a role model because I’m their father, and fathers never lead their children to something that will end up destroying their future. I am a gambler and gamble twice or thrice a week I come from a conservative family and I don't want my family to know that I'm into gambling, things are easy to hide because I'm playing online compared to when you have to have a good alibi playing in a physical casino, the second person is my employer, employers do not like their employees to have a vice even, especially if the vice includes money, they even screen people applying if they have vice-like gambling, not discussing your gambling habit with your co-workers will save you from the ire of your employer.

I think my wife and my mother since they are against it, they always say that if you have bought or invest it on stuffs we really needed then it's much more good rather than gamble it with uncertainty. I'm not really that a gambler but something really is not right when you feel lost and you have those regrets much more if your wife finds it out and get a good talking.Are you such gambler ?

.This can be easily achieved nowadays with a lot of online casinos that run only by cryptocurrency payments making our life a lot easier than playing in FIAT casinos where they want KYC,they want to know who you are upfront in order for you to withdraw the money to your bank account.I can play in the comfort of my home lying down on my favorite sofa and playing through my mobile phone when no one is at home,this way not even my family knows I am a gambler,yes I have enough self control to only play when I am alone.

Anyone who knows I don't want them to know that I'm gambling especially my mother, a mother will not like it when she found out that I gamble because she teaches me not to rely on luck and work hard for money, but she will not understand if I tell her that I'm gambling for entertainment and I am feeling good when I feel all the emotions associated to gambling, a mother will always be a mother so I tried my best to keep it to her.

Enjoying gambling activities is the right of everyone, some consider it a fun entertainment, some make it an escape from the problems they face, some make it a side income, it all comes back to each individual.
however for me. to be honest, anything that is related to hobbies is a personal thing, in this context it is a hobby of gambling.
I don't keep it a secret from anyone, especially my wife. so, I'm not obligated to give any explanation to other people as long as it doesn't harm them. meaning, you don't have to worry, if people know that you like to gamble. If you are a responsible person, you must ensure and manage finances properly and wisely, you must separate your basic needs and hobbies that you enjoy.

luckily in my case i don't need to hide from anyone that i do sports betting and whenever people ask me about gambling i make it a point to clarify to them that i do sports betting just for fun and not with the intention of winning a lot of money, now We have to understand that the reason that I am free to talk to everyone about gambling is due to the fact that in my country, on any street, on all TV channels, newspapers talk about gambling, most people that I see on the streets are betting on the lottery so there is no wrong thinking about gambling so it is easier for me to talk about the sports bets I make on the internet. but if a person lives in a place where people who like gambling are criticized then the ideal is for that person to avoid talking about gambling unless they win a big prize and it is necessary to talk to the family

Luckily, I have not met any hate as a regular gambler. I do always want people to gamble according to their means. I know a lot of regular gamblers that are gambling just for the sake of gambling. They looked happy and excited every time they gamble but they never realized that they are gambling above their means. I heard stories from my old community that people end up selling their phones, bikes, motorcycles, and even cars and many lost their savings which took them years to fill. So I can understand the times when wives and parents especially mothers hate gambling. People need to be more educated on the real purpose of gambling. It is a form of entertainment and not a quick way to become rich.
