It is fucking open source software, if you are not happy DIY... The dev team owes nothing to you (unless of course you have done private deals with them, which I doubt.)

LMAO some of them get paid, so I expect a higher quality that has yet to be met.

Nobody said you're an enemy of bitcoin, besides you. Seems like you have a martyr complex or something.

How do I have a martyr complex? It sounded like he was saying I am an enemy of bitcoin, clear as day to me.

when you find those developers, let us know.

LMAO I will call roger rabbit, to make them appear out of a hat...

Have you looked at the technical subform its littered with all the coders and dev team trying hard to remove all the bugs and clean the code up !

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0

Uhmmm, what about code testing, how does that fit into a forum? Also I don't see a lot of good improvements in there. Also I have seen improvements that Gavin has shot down with no explanation.

Not me.

Keep up the good work gents.

You haven't been around here long, you kinda used to it. I remember a different time.

I was a lurker before I actually register, so you can't go by my date, but yes I remember a different time.

Fair enough. But telling someone who made one of the first 1000 accounts "you haven't been around here long" makes you lose credibility.

I agree, I was on my phone, so I couldn't see that and I don't know him that well.

Only one or two secs aren't in the foundation and Gavin leads both the foundation and development so I am drawing my own theory.

If that's the case then fuck em and make new currencies, I did remember reading an article though where Amir Taaki was it? Got asked about what he thought of the Bitcoin foundation and he didn't seem to like them very much.

Him and another one, the rest are in the foundation, and Gavin is the lead so you know a lot of the direction can benefit the members of the foundation.

btcd is out?

Where can I get access to it?

I wouldn't use it for production (I don't think it even has all the features so it could be production), it has a good start, but a lot has to be done.

If OP is not being sarcastic, which I suspect he may be, this is preposterous. Thousands maybe millions of people get working Bitcoin (remember it's essentially magic money) software for free, how is this possibly anything except amazing?

I am not being sarcastic. I agree the bitcoin protocol is amazing! I love bitcoin, nothing has made me more passionate currently! But cause I question some ethics and how they handle things, automatically makes me enemy against bitcoin? Also I separate bitcoin-qt from the bitcoin theory cause they are very different things. If I have an issue with bitcoin-qt or the core dev team, that has nothing to do with my view on bitcoin.

We need a new development team, one that has the morals of not getting paid and being greedy.

when you find those developers, let us know.

I guess it would be nice if a big company picked it up and gave it a push, something like Oracle except for BTC. Imagine a multi billion dollar non-US based company pushing BTC forward.

Bad idea, a single company would manage Bitcoin system development and testing the way it finds most rewarding for itself, e.g. fixing bugs it wants, not fixing bugs its competitors want, preventing certain features to appear before it is ready to profit from them, etc.

They are hurting the community. So apparently a DDOS cause by old Satoshi written code, that could be used to do a DDOS attack. So yeah when do they do testing? I am guessing never, it sounds like this should have been tested and fixed a longgggggggg time ago. And they all think they deserved to get paid? I have yet to see a worthy thing of them getting paid. I guess taking interviews, and slamming companies just takes up that testing time.

We need a new development team, one that has the morals of not getting paid and being greedy.

I know this is going to get me a lot more ignores, but someone has to say it, and if it is me, the so be it. I think they are disgrace to the community. I hope the foundation gets shutdown, and sued for every single penny they have.

And before people tell me that I should switch clients and vote with my downloads, that is easier said then done, but I am in the process and most my servers run my own "client" plus two other clients, (Supernode (Java) and btcd (Go))

They aren't as professional as they could be but then again they don't make that much profit to fund the development in a professional manner.

I guess it would be nice if a big company picked it up and gave it a push, something like Oracle except for BTC. Imagine a multi billion dollar non-US based company pushing BTC forward.

The team deserves a pat on the back regardless.

The "core team" is just a term for whoever is doing it best.

Regardless of any shortcomings there may be, it is good enough to handle millions and millions of dollars worth of business and it is free to use, so they are giving out more value than almost everyone in the world. Maybe linux devs and a few others surpass, but they've had a lot more time.

Googled btcd, second link: https://opensource.conformal.com/wiki/btcd

At the bottom are the links to all the live code repositories for the various subprojects.

Damn, I'm tired from all that hard work Wink.

I'm aware of and have been watching the releases of the core packages.

My original, mildly tongue in cheek, question to gweedo was about btcd in it's entirety, considering that it hasn't been officially released.

I agree with those saying they are doing a good job.

OP, if you're good at testing for bugs, test the client yourself. If you're not equipped to test the client, hire someone that is. If you don't want to do either, find a way to contribute to the community other than complaints.
