I suppose that there are some newbies (and some non-newbies too) out there who got invested over 10k, and are currently losing money.
Losing money is very stressfull, so I was just wondering... are you cutting your losses or you will hodl your stash untill 2020 and more following an "all or nothing" strategy?

The one who'll just loss here are those short term holders as they bought in above $10k and planning to sell in below $10k which is really unwise to do. They easily panic because of the constant drop and selling is their last resort without thinking they'll actually losing. But those long term holders didn't bother a lot because they know that this is just temporary and eventually the price will recover and beat its last all time high.

Well, as long as you haven't converted your bitcoin to fiat you are not losing money. However, I think a lot of people who cut their losses when the market crashed lost a lot of money. Panic selling will do you no good because all you get is loss. Don't panic sell during crash when you don't really need fiat money. Just hold your coin and wait for the market to recover.

This is the reason why you should invest what you are willing to lose. So in this case, you should hold back until you recover your money.

This is perfect! This is not just applicable is life but perfect for investment as well.
In this investment, I would like everyone to understand that we are not losing. We are just holding and waiting. There is no lose in bitcoin I swear that.
When we started doing tradin, we should have been oriented about that.

Who is losing? All those who have invested at high price and didn't have enough patience to wait for the price to recover but started to sell and those who have invested more they can afford to lose.
It is crucial to have the plan and the strategy and count your profit and loses on lob term, not just for the moment. Many still haven't learned to act like this.

If you have bought on all time high and in order not to lose money then don't sell because things will go back to where it is. You will not be stressed in a dip situation if you are only investing money which you can afford to lose. Easier said than done though.

those who sell bitcoin at cheap prices and do not have a good strategy are the ones who get the loss, because the total supply of bitcoin is very limited it should be able to make bitcoin prices more expensive than this.

All of us have probably lost money on BTC, however now that it's rallied above 10k expect another bull run. I can't see it falling much further than this.

Newbies will never understand this simple words / reminder from the old investors. They only think about the gain all the time and thinks that bitcoin will always up with its price.
So in this case, you should hold back until you recover your money.
What's good news about those people who invested on $10,000? Say hello to the charts again as it went back to $10k.  Wink

I don't actually care about the current BTC price.. All that counts for me is to get a bigger amount of BTC because I believe that the price will go up in the future.
So I didn't "lose" any money because I didn't sell my BTC. Smiley

Not me because fortunately i sell my Bitcoin when its fall to $11k from the $19,700 highest value but i purchase it at $9.4k baseline so i still earned the difference from $1.6k but wasting the opportunity to earn more from $19k is really a disappoinment. I keep on holding even it hurts that time so i lost that much more opportunity but i realized now that there is sell high and buy low strategy in which i will going to apply next time.

So many mate and the people who lost on the current Bitcoins price fall down are the hodlers who used to store their bitcoins on cold storage, But some of them are not panic for the fall and they still keep holding their bitcoins since they know they it could pump in future.

The only People that may be losing money at the moment are the ones that invested in the last days of december or in january, but if they holded and didnt sell cheap, they will recover all the money and they will probably doble it during this year.

I think those who sell bitcoin in a state of panic, because they see bitcoin prices continue to decline and of course they will lose money from bitcoin.
Therefore, i continue to hold until now, waiting for the price to recover and fast rise, because i believe the value of bitcoin will return to strengthen and the increase is not unstoppable anymore.
Never make foolish decisions because it will make you lose everything, stay patient and calm facing situations like this.

lose it or not it depends on them. I am their position, surely they are very tense! but if they are patient and hold it they will not lose their money. they could benefit from all this, the storm must pass and now we just need to set a good strategy and always think positive because it will not forever the situation continues like this.
Exactly, we need patience and think positive that bitcoin will rising again. We need strategy that is holding our bitcoin because if we sell we really in losing money.

If you got in mid december, then regardless of anything, you're in a loss right now. And there are a lot of people like that. Personally i've been keeping btcs since 2016 so i'm still in profit so the dump didn't really affect me as much as those that bought above 10k. Just hold guys. You haven't really lost yet unless you sell

Those who are at loss are those who sold their bitcoins despite of the decline of price. Regardless when they bought if they are still holding their coins then they haven't lose anything. The problem with some many people is that they are always comparing Bitcoin to fiat (i.e. USD) in terms of losing and gaining even though their asset is still in cryptocurrency. You could only say that you've gained/lost when you sold your assets.

people who lose money are the ones who sell bitcoin when the price drops exceed the price when they bought, I think many people do that because they are getting panic and they assume if bitcoin prices will not rise again. I am not lose my money although I a little panic but I keep to hold because I know I will get a lot of profit in the future.

Those people who are buying bitcoin's at its peak, I'm pretty sure they'll be in troubled and possible thay they are selling their coins for they are afraid btc will fall into nothing.  Though we can't laugh at them,  considering that they really don't realize and purely profit are in their mind without knowing of holding and keeping patience.

Of course those ones who were not the lucky ones to buy Bitcoin and altcoin on its peaks can be the losers. Suppose the guys who keep Bitcoin for many years worry less.

Not me. I only sold those coins that there are still profit because I originally planned holding it for a few months to multitply that profit but plans have changed. Now, I'm just holding all the btc and crypto that keep falling in value.
