I think, those who panic sell during the time when bitcoin is so down are the ones that loses money for they sell their bitcoin at a lower price. I don't ever think they can also recover their losses because they might be losing their interest in bitcoin too.

lose it or not it depends on them. I am their position, surely they are very tense! but if they are patient and hold it they will not lose their money. they could benefit from all this, the storm must pass and now we just need to set a good strategy and always think positive because it will not forever the situation continues like this.
Exactly, we need patience and think positive that bitcoin will rising again. We need strategy that is holding our bitcoin because if we sell we really in losing money.

If you got in mid december, then regardless of anything, you're in a loss right now. And there are a lot of people like that. Personally i've been keeping btcs since 2016 so i'm still in profit so the dump didn't really affect me as much as those that bought above 10k. Just hold guys. You haven't really lost yet unless you sell

People talk about not losing money until you sell, but it's a double edged sword. That same logic implies that you haven't gained any money until you liquidate your position either. Honestly the best way to look at it is that when the price goes up, you make money... and when the price goes down, you lose money. Your gains/losses can change constantly, but selling will cause that to stop, effectively locking in whatever gains or losses you have.

Just because you plan to wait a long time before selling bitcoin doesn't mean you have not lost money over the past month or so. Everyone who owns bitcoin has been losing money recently.
When the bitcoin price started to fell down from huge price since last year are experiencing losing money on bitcoin. Most of us has losing a lot because of this current situation if we cut loses another huge lose. The best that we can do in this moment is to hold the patience that price of bitcoin will swing to rise up.
We'll only lose if we sell ir, jist put patoence and now that somehow it will increase too like it always did before, it's jist a correction.

Dont 'over invest' would be a quick point.   Just that worry alone forces bad decisions, some of the people who gained most did so because they committed and were able to forget the idea of selling, not going to happen for anyone taking big risks so dont
Losing money is very stressfull, so I was just wondering... are you cutting your losses or you will hodl your stash untill 2020 and more following an "all or nothing" strategy?

Money is ultimately all about security and storage of value, if the market is stressed then it shows in that balance between those have gained and those who have lost.  In the price that probably matters a fair bit to market confidence.    Thats why Bitcoin has to form an economy, continuous revenue streams are important to stability.    Nobody in the world can always work all day every day, everyone has to rest and pass the baton and its a natural process in global trade daily every hemisphere comes into focus and passes value to the others.

I dont think plain Bitcoin gains anyway, it has to be part of some business to receive proper growth.    There has to be more applicable businesses out there but I think holding some bitcoin in a gambling operation who require a float is more valid way to hold value in crypto economy.   At least some holding, I generally disagree with the whole all or nothing thinking as nobodys absolutely sure whether high growth ideas will survive or thrive?

The ones who lose money’s in bitcoin are those who went panic selling. Who sold their bitcoin on low price than their investment because of fear to lose more. So, to avoid lossing in bitcoin one should learn the value of patience specially these times.

I suppose that there are some newbies (and some non-newbies too) out there who got invested over 10k, and are currently losing money.

I know of an friend in one of these telegram groups that bought bitcoin when it was over $15k which was painful when it dropped but he resorted to day trading to cut his losses and I must say this guy is determined to get back his money and likely for him he sold all his coins when it dipped to 12k and bought more when people thought there was a crypto crash now price sitting over 8k his made his profit.

Because bitcoin is investment, so investment is for a long term not short term.

Something being considered an investment doesn't mean it's automatically a long term investment. In case of Bitcoin, both short and long term investors get what they want, and plenty of it. Bitcoin's wild and recurring fluctuations make it a perfect investment tool for slow-traders performing the occasional buy low sell high method. Bitcoin's massive future potential makes it obviously a solid long term investment. Thing to keep in mind is that people trading or performing buy low sell high, more often than not also have a seperate stash of coins they solely hold for the long term. It's a matter of utilizing your options and resources in the best possible fashion.

A lot of people who just started investing bitcoin during the peak surely lost a lot of money when bitcoin price's fall. That's why doing a careful research before investing is really important. Don't be driven by your emotion, not because a lot of people got rich because of bitcoin means that you will get the same result in a short span of time.

For me losing money in bitcoin, if we don't investment again in bitcoin. In bitcoin there is no word said losing money.
Because bitcoin is investment, so investment is for a long term not short term. If the price drop down is time to hold your bitcoin or you can buy more bitcoin for investment. Don't sale your bitcoin when the price down, you will losing your money.

The continuous crash lately affected the investors with regards to their Bitcoin investment. Indeed, they are losing money lately but it is now recovering. Slling also will just make its market value to fall even more and we should aboid that to help market price to recover. Market is now showing green marks which means that the market value of the cryptos are now rexovering so we should hold and invest more to earn profit as its value is recovering.

people who are selling them in the market are losing the Money. But in many 1 bitcoin is always equal to 1 Bitcoin but the thing value of the coin is decreasing when there is less demand. The value of the coin is increasing when there i huge demand in the market.

1 bitcoin is still 1 bitcoin regardless of the USD value, if you’re HODLING you’ve lost nothing.
Others will not understand this because they are only looking at the fiat(USD) value of bitcoin. And asthey have bought when it was around $19,000 or higher than $10,000 they are only thinking about their loss but they are not looking at the brighter side that they can purchase more.

Who here doesn’t think we’ll see 1 bitcoin worth $50,000 by 2021?
3 years from now? I think we can see it at $50,000.

I would not call it losing money. My first purchase was at
$3000, after that I purchased Bitcoins many times.
My first Ethereum I bought at $400, next one at $1050.
Then recently I bought Litecoins at $150.
My point is that we are buying coins at cheap prices at the
moment. Up and downs are normal in young markets, thus
manipulations. Relax and wait for the rise, we are only at
the beginning. I will not stop with buying Bitcoins, everything
under $50000 is cheap.

I also cut my loses but I buy again with low price when I think the price is getting higher again. My mother also invested with bitcoin when the price is more than $10k so she still lose, but still she is holding all her bitcoin and waited for it to get higher again.
