I think this is why bitcoin works and why it becomes that popular, the open source code and the beauty behind his maths make people trust on it. And about satoshi identity, if we care or not there is no way to know the truth, so make that question is a waste of time, is like trying to solve a puzzle without puzzle pieces. This type of discussion will not close from cryptocurrency enthusiasts because it has a mystery that people want to see behind Bitcoin, they would want to know that who are behind the technology either as an individual or a group of persons, they would also want to know the family of the creators and at last be able to know their company and country of residence. It will be unending discussion from now to eternity.
