Well jeff bezos is the richest person in this world and there is no doubt that he will remain number 1 on the list because he is a great IT and businessman and i think many people will also inspire to work harder just to be rich like jeff bezos and other billionare.
I know about Microsoft owner is richest person in the world but I want many of richest person want to adopt bitcoin as their payment and want to promote bitcoin for the other, I think by joining richest person in bitcoin or altcoin will make many people following to invest with bitcoin or altcoin.
This world has a lot of people and it's hard to know who is the richest, if you search for information on google, it will show you the top list for you but those are clean coins to be listed, and lots of black money out there. Or maybe they don't like to appear in public because it can harm their family. I personally love money and I really want to have it but I think the richest people are people with good health, lots of time and a happy family because those things cannot be bought with money even if you have a lot of how much more.

Not much point in money if you cant spend it ie. the criminal riches. They have the ever present problem of money laundering the cash they accumulate.

Can Bezos or Gates really spend all that money either? There is limits on what they can buy for their personal enjoyment unless they are just after the power the money provides. Then they go and buy lawmakers and authorities to bend to their every will.
A lot of those art sales is just money laundering, those paintings don't actually hold that much value.

There might be many more rich persons in the world other than these but it depends upon whom you call a rich person. For me having only money, dollars, gold or bitcoins does not make a person rich. For me a person is rich if he is healthy, do not have major problems and sufficient source of income to run his life.

You can be as rich as you want, but you can not buy true friends/family with it.
Thats is what makes people rich in my eyes.

But there are criminal organizations and mafias out there, whose annual turn over is in tens of billions of USD. For example, the annual turnover for 'Ndrangheta was estimated at €44 billion in 2007. The same for the Mexican cartels may be even higher.

Pablo Escobar was another criminal who was even richer than Fuentes. As per mainstream media, he used to make as much as $22 billion per year from sales of cocaine. But that money was of no use when he died like a street dog in 1993.

The world has changed, earlier there was humanity around, further as the importance of money grew high the humanity too started depending on money. This is a cyclic process and once again we'll experience true richness from the heart soon as people are getting towards their passion in large scale than following money.

LOL... when I first joined this forum, I also used to make such posts. You will feel good, with a false sense of moral high-ground. But the reality is very different and you will understand it once you reach your 30s or 40s. The truth is that money is the most important thing in this world, and its importance is increasing every day, as the world becomes closer. There are certain things that can bring happiness to humans. I won't say that money can bring you 100.00% of these things. But if you are rich, then you may get 99.98% or 99.99%, which is pretty close in my opinion. On the other hand, if you are poor then you may need to contend with 10% or 15% at the most.

It should be the Saudi King, as he owns all of the petroleum reserves in that country. But I heard that it is the crown prince who holds the real power in Saudi Arabia, as the King is suffering from dementia (and he is 83 years of age). The Sultan of Brunei is also extremely rich, but I don't think that he comes anyway near the Saudi king.
