Most of the altcoins based their price on Bitcoin, if bitcoin price will go down, for sure they will follow. I think that there are 2 main reasons why the price of coins are dropping. Exchanges and markets everywhere operate like sine curve if you try to understand their growth.there is bearish and bullish trend that interchange, nobody complained when we had the bullish trend towards the end of the year that saw astronomical rise in prices
Well I don't think it's not interesting since many people caught their attention about this dominant crypto currency in the cyberworld. Obviously the main reason on the dropping is that the massive investors sell their great value of shares. Also, they don't want to loss much more money as they want to cut off their great losses. I have heard a lot of news and explanations as to why the entire crypto market is suffering. We have got the news that a lot of governments are trying to regulate more on crypto-related establishments and transactions, or even ban them
The market is controlled by manipulators. Wherever whales want, the market will go there.
The cause of any fall is man-made. Large players with big money also earn money on the crypto market. This reduces the capitals of ordinary players. Everything is interconnected.

The market is influenced by many factors, and the price of coins can not be in one position for a long time. But I also think that the price of altcoins depends on the price of the bitcoat. The decline that was after the new year is proof.

Crypto coins dropped due to lack of demand in the market, but when demand increases then the price of coins will increase. Decreasing the price of crypto coins is not something to be feared, it will be an opportunity to buy at a low price and when the price goes up it will be an advantage.
There are many reasons for dump in prices as it is been witness currently! One major reason however is the unknown regulatory law, procedure or law as regard cryptocurency especially with regulators in the United State!
probably because the price of bitcoin and ethereum goes down so people sell their altcoin to switch to bitcoin or ethereum, and that's why altcoin prices go down, and bitcoin and ethereum prices go down because those who sell them panic when they see bitcoin and ethereum go down a bit and sell it straight away for fear it will not rise again (according to my prediction).
I agree with your opinion this is all happening because people start panic with bitcoin price down so many people sell it, so that's the bitcoin price down
I also agree what you say BTC prices and ETH prices are very influential on the price of other prices When both are down, it is likely that other prices will also decline Hopefully someday the price can be stable down not too low up ya better that hope the bitcoiner certainly.Continue to monitor the price of BTC and ETH hopefully up.
there can be many reasons, but in any case, the fall is quite a normal situation in the market after strong growth. especially it is necessary to take into account that the crypto currency market is very young and such strong movements are quite normal. We should be careful when making deals.

the decline is not only in Altcoin alone. so do not be too concerned with the decline that occurred in Altcoin. decline occurs because many people sell their coins than by holding their coins. but this will not last long. any body know the reason for current drop?
The reason why altcoins are dropping its just beacause altcoins are depending on bitcoins demend in to the marketplace if the price of bitcoin is dropping all altcoins also will be affected thats why altcoins are falling too.
Well mostly all coins are paired with bitcoin when it comes to trading pair so this means that these coins are also affected by whatever happens to bitcoin and whatever price drop and price increase that bitcoin goes through so the reason all coins are dropping is because the price of bitcoin is dropping also which means that when bitcoin goes up, they all will.
The market has hard times now, many people cash out and we lose market capitalization which leads to the drop of coins.
So you believe that all that happened in December and all those rockets that were launched to reach x2 x5 x10 x20 and sometimes more were just because people cashed in before Christmas? 
Seriously, that would be easier to explain if people cashed out before vacation because who wants flat. But there were rockets, there were so many moons. And I don't believe that it was made by people with real cash, seriously.
And thats the reason why the market should restore. And now we see real prices, but there are some highly overrated coins still.

Base on the chart it is dropping because it is over bought. Many new investors are baited by FUD and now they are trap in the high price. They can still recover from their loses buy it takes time and patient is really needed.

There is no current reason I think. Because it depend on the investors on each coins if that coin don't have a investors or limits only the coin will not high or it will drop down its price so definitely the coin will depend on the investors who want to invest with it.
I think the reason why the coins are dropping is due to the dropping of the bitcoin and ethereum but do not worry it will once return to normal just wait for it and hold your tokens and wait for the market to return and stavilize
