Majority of members above were only focusing on the financial benefit from altcoins. They forgot that if altcoins provide more usabilities to the crypto.

Altcoins are really helpful for people to avoid a non sense transactions fees from bitcoin blockchain. Thanks to vitalik and his team that brought smartcontract blockchain to the public as a further development from bitcoin blockchain. Altcoin is really helpful in everything.
You can easily to use it for various purposes at this moment. The further growth by altcoins have provided it more ability to give the holders more benefit instead of only using crypto as a store of value like what bitcoin did.

Many people saw altcoins as a very important part from cryptocurrency. Just like when btc transaction cost non sense fees for a small user like me. Altcoins came with a solution to send my money with 0.0001 USD tx fees.

Yes,Everyone has their own perception and in my opinion every crypto investor has some assets in altcoins. For me personally, I own some of the top altcoin assets and of course I believe that altcoins can provide good profits.

We do not have to trust everything. We have to do our research and investigation before investing in any. Altcoins are important. They have helped many of us enjoy cryptocurrency and that is why many more are interested in it. It can not all be bitcoin. The scam in altcoin projects you mentioned is what happens anywhere there is a crowd or rush for something. Rush will exist if something has something that makes it attractive. Altcoin is attractive and that is why there is rush.

You are absolutely correct that market capitalization is not indicator of intrinsic value, utility or promise for future for any digital asset, instead it is often seen as measure of popularity or to some extent reflects the market sentiment. This sentiment in my opinion is important because markets often operate on emotions and herd mentality, with fundamentals analysis often coming later. Meme coins are good examples' in this regard. The price of meme coins like PEPE and others driven by market sentiment despite lacking any real life use case.

Market cap is more like a popularity contest than any real promise of worth.  With thousands of altcoins to pick from, most are empty promises or downright frauds and  even if a buncha folks toss money at something, whos to say it will pan out.  Ill give you that some altcoins might make good, but big communities dont always mean true usefulness in the real world.  PEPE, for example? Come on. You cant seriously think that meme coin is worth over $5 billion.

Please keep in mind that around 50% of the total market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies consist of altcoins, indicating that these projects have significant communities and investors in such altcoin projects. While it is true that there are bad actors in alcoin sector but it is not fair to label all altcoins as shit or worthless coins. For instance, Ethereum is also an altcoin which holds around $64 billion on its ecosystem. This indicates its leading role in crypto landscape due to its strong real life use case.

You are right dude but I don't understand when you say it's people's carelessness that makes them lose in alt and generalizing it that people who makes loss in alt are all careless however, if that's what you are insinuating I don't agree with you completely because loss sometimes it's like an accident and I don't think merely look at some alt that one can be able to know which is one good and which is bad though sometimes you can but if it's that easy I think people won't have being making loss.

why don't you give reasons if you don't like altcoins?? because I think everyone must have altcoins other than bitcoin, except meme coins and hype coins. and in my opinion there is no altcoin scam because there is only people's carelessness that makes them lose in alctoins scam. because there are so many altcoin choices that you can invest in in the crypto market which have the potential to develop in the future.

Altcoins can be a good medium for those investors whose long-term investment horizon is relatively low. Altcoins are a general term for every cryptocurrency excluding Bitcoin and it's not a good idea to generalize the experience in a particular coin to all of them. It's like being sent an inferior product by an instagram shop and calling the whole online business worthless and scam.
There are coins that die, are scam, don't work, can't keep up competition. That's why investors needs to be cautious and attentive when choosing a coin. They should build a diverse portfolio that includes different genres of coins. They should also occasionally reanalyze and readjust their holdings.

Right. Altcoins are important. If there's no altcoins, the there will only bitcoin where People would normally trade with it like other stock markets. Scammers weren't bring new ico, ieo, ido and 50% marketcap could deducted from whole crypto industry. I think because of altcoins, more people are coming here and crypto market is getting bigger. Bitcoin price is very low so if someone invests now and in a few months it pumps to reach 70k$ then you can get a quick profit from Bitcoin too. You should keep in mind that your investment is for a longer time but it will be better if you sell when you have profit so your profit will be more than expected.

Those who are not interested in long-term projects like Bitcoin are mainly investing in altcoins, and many are also investing in altcoins because of their cheap prices. Yes your are right and it is important for those who are interested in it and using altcoins. Most people make quick money from altcoins while some invest in it because the price is low and the transaction fee is low so many buy altcoins and convert it to a y of the major coins in the cryptocurrency. Remember not not everyone likes altcoins because the risk I'm altcoins is much more than bitcoin and Ethereum or Solana.

In my Own opinion I think one  of the importance of altcoins is that it  makes Investor's to get quick profit from their investment, secondly is good for short term investment, this are the few importance I know about altcoins, I don't know about other people.      I actually get the majority of my earnings from altcoins, except for the bitcoin that is paid to me in the signature campaign. Then that is also the reality that I see in most people here in the crypto community.

true that's why we should invest with good and top coins cause these altcoins don't pump and dump so heavily like so called shitcoins. But as an investor, i love experiment. I already invested with good and potential altcoins to become safe when its come to profit. But apart from that, i also invest in new altcoins and memeocin with little money. Lots of altcoins scam but some altcoins pump a lot and recoverd all loss and can bring some profit too. Cause If everyone buying old, then who'll buy new altcoins?. Although i don't advise anyone to follow my step. This step is for them who have good amount of money and like to explore new altcoins.

If you are into altcoins short term hodlers, you will enjoy altcoins investment because it will allow you to make a good profits that will encouraging you to remain in altcoins short term investment.

Do you know, there are some altcoins you can invest now and hodl, once their price begin to pump,you can use the period to sell to accumulate your profits despite the profit will not be big like those into long term hodling.

But if you want to go into long term investment, I will advise you to make ETH and BNB and it will help you to achieve what you want because they always pump whenever BTC price is pumping from the market.

actually people know this fact that they should only investing top potential altcoins which can be considered most safe and secured (although can't guarantee 100%). But these bring lower return at the end as these are already pumped a lot to gain top position.that is why instead of those top potential altcoins, people also interested in low rank altcoins and shitcoins.
