In general, people are afraid to invest in cryptocurrency not because of high risk but because there has been so much negative publicity about bitcoin and cryptocurrency over the past six months or so, they are confused.
there are several reasons that make people afraid to invest in cyrpto currency and one of them may be afraid of the ever-changing prices and can make them lose a lot and they are not ready to accept such losses
agree with you this is some of their reason why they dont want to choose to invest in crytpo currency cause they see this as an scam or they had been read a lot of fake news on it.

people are afraid to invest in crypto currency because they only hear negative things about crypto currency so they are still hesitant and afraid to lose their money and investment in crypto has a big risk
That's how media works, but if I were those risk takers that are willing to enter the market despite of the negative news, I will invest no matter what they just need to understant the market on their own and not to depend on the fake news. People are afraid because they know nothing and scared to loss their hard earn money.

In my opinion why people sometimes feel afraid investing in cryptocurrency. I think There are many reasons why it is happened by people. Besides that every time we invest in cryptocurrency may be we will have risk.
