People that lack education in crypto coupled with limited resources like funding are always afraid to invest in cryptocurrency for the fear of the unknown. With time, if they get their morale boosted they finally invest in .
Cryptocurrency need more time to prove yourself and already people will start to believe in it. The biggest reason for fear is that the government does not accept it. So people are always in compliance with the laws of the governments and they do not want to break these laws at the moment.
There are some reasons due to which people are afraid of investing in cryptocurrencies. The first reason is the government of their respective countries.Cryptos are being declared as illegal by many countries because government has no control on it and we often see that people don't participate in those things which are against the government rules.Second reason is the risk involved in crypto investments.People find it risky to invest in cryptos because of their volatile nature.Due to it's volatility a lot of fluctuations are seen in their price.So people are always afraid of facing losses.These are main two reasons due to which people are afraid of investing in cryptocurrencies.

Some times I usually think of the reason people are afraid of investing in cryptocurrency, despite the its value and durability, cryptocurrency is a standards investment that will always give the investor the chance of becoming a millionaire due to its appreciative nature, people fail to understand the fact behind cryptocurrency investment, most times the people trying to invest may not have a maximum knowledge of cryptocurrency.
People are not actually afraid to invest on cryptocurrency but most of the investors today are avoiding to lose a huge amount of profit, but there will be always a risk in order to become successful in the future so you cannot avoid risk in order to obtain a huge amount of profit because you need to invest and wait for the price to grow up.
Some people have a small knowledge of cryptocurrency.Or some people have been scammed.Or some people can not find the flow of markets ups and downs. But if you research about cryptocurrency. keep patience and do everything wisely then you will surely get e huge margin of profit doing investment on cryptocurrency.

Cause the FUDS are spreading like hell, haters emphasizes bad news about bitcoin while they don't know the true intentions of speculators incase it's on trend list. Some crazy people are giving thoughts about bitcoin while they don't know the prior knowledge or the basics about it just blabbering nonsense and scaring the shit out of people.
People often do not invest in bitcoin because they do not know much about blockchain technology. And one more thing, when investing in bitcoin, there is no verification of ownership. So people are afraid to invest in it.

because many of them know the bitcoin word unintelligible, when they hear the word bitcoin is just one of their thoughts but a scam. they need to be taught and demonstrate how to use and how to get money and make money. not a bitcoin is a scam but a person works so there is a scam. 
I suppose that people simply see that the prices of the cryptocurrencies are going down. That is why they are scared to invest in altcoins and Bitcoins as they think that they will lose. This is the main reason.
Well, that's easily understandable, I think. It's really risky and also good knowledge of technologies and computer are needed as well.
