I came across an article recently. Google is joining Facebook and Twitter to ban all crypto related ads. Why does everyone seem to want to frustrate crytocurrency?
Sad to hear that, but it seems to me that banning isn't about cryptocurrencies, it's about scams. Maybe they all feel like they can't predict whether a particular ICO is scam, or not, but they don't want to be responsible for scammers, so they ban them all. But I wonder why they didn't ban online casinos then, people spend there a lot of money too.

I think Facebook and Twitter are detecting some spam activity on their platform because some people are posting relentlessly that create lots of data to load by spamming post per day even if they said that "crypto currency are misleading" but still it's popping out on their platform and i also saw those ads too.

Think about it all of those businesses you are talking about depend on centralization for their business model, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are about the opposite while bitcoin is not a direct competitor I will not be surprised if there is already a coin in development set to become Google rival that doesn't spy you every single day, so their businesses model will become obsolete if the blockchain takes off.

I also had time to read articles about it, which I know is facebook and twitter prohibits crypto ads because it is considered misleading. It is said, many companies that advertise crypto, not operating properly. if what you mean by foiling by blocking ads. In my opinion do not worry too much, because for advertising, word of mouth can spread wide. and in my opinion the facebook and twitter policies are pretty good, so not a handful of people are utilizing the popularity of bitcoin for deceptive acts.

I don't see anything wrong with the ban of cryptocurrencies advertisements on popular platforms. Many of them were advertising things such as "Earn 1 Bitcoin per week" or some similar clickbait ads which usually lead to scam cloud mining services or exchanges with low volume. But we have to think for a moment if it was the real purpose of banning this kind of ads. Would they normally care so much about that if someone didnt't force them? I guess we will never know the truth.

I don't think it's a bad thing Google does, maybe it can save a lot of people from get fooled. So Google, it's just helping people and i don't understand that why you misunderstand it.
They don't want people to be freed that as a reason of the compression of the cryptos, because, if this system goes on, will not even need the government when on required time.

I this is completely wrong news. I have read many articles and threads in the forum itself which says that google is not at going to ban the crypto ads. There is no official news release for this one and what we are listening to is other hyped news by panic people around us. I think we better ignore this one and keep it in line as it was earlier. Also we can clearly see all the ICO ads flashing all over the CMC website that are being served by the google itself. There is no way such giant is going to leave the crypto ads as it is money after all and they don't care from where it comes. Isn't it.

Yup there is no official news from Google and there was a news like Facebook also banned ico related adds in their website but in my country, i am seeing adds on my facebook page. confusing which news i have to believe and which is not. but it really making affecting the crypto market.

They just did what they have to do to prevent more damages that scammers made and will make. Instead of taking time to screen all of them. But hopefully as time passes, they'll be likely to come up with a solution especially for those with real and honest purposes.

This move by Google isn't an attempt to irk cryptocurrencies at all but they are focusing on their users' safety more than anything else. Might seem like a move to add frustration into the already bloodbathing market but isn't really the case as this would happen sooner or later. Just a matter of few weeks before it is forgotten and the people will be back to focusing on the price as it shoots up.

I think the main reason for this, frequent fraud on the part of not decent people. We hear something there and there about the frequent deceits of ISO. Crypto currency for scammers, like cheese for mice. Such measures are introduced for the safety of their clients.

As far as i know they (google) have actually been under pressure from the FBI to do bans against ads containing crytocurrency elements a few days ago.

Because crytocurrency has a value is volatile and is considered to be able to cause the destruction of the state's financial standard as a whole.

They're not "frustrating cryptocurrency". They're just trying to block scams.

There are loads of places where you can get free accurate info about bitcoin and other cryptocurrences. So no-one needs to take out ads, apart from the phishing sites...

It's now because they are against crypto or anything. Mostly the reason for banning the ads was to stop the scam ico ads. And talking about Twitter, have you seen the scams going on there, every tweet related to crypto has the ETH scam reply.

I doubt if there are any sinister reasons for them doing this. If I had a huge company like that and my platform was used to promote things that might harm my reputation and worst, the users that are using my platform.. then I would also ban it. A lot of these ICOs are just plain and simple scams and they are ruining this for everyone.

I think the regulations will catch up to these scam ICOs and then things might return to normal.

You right. Google and the other social media not totally wrong because they are just trying to protect their user's from scam. I do not know if there is a solution to this problem besides what they have done because crypto are decentralization, not easy to regulate it.

i wasn't know the exact reasons why they looks attempts to frustrate cryptocurrency but maybe they thought cryptocurrency were invited people to get scammed and that's why they will against cryptocurrency but don't have to worried regarding them because cryptocurrency can grow without them indeed this news will have an effect for crypto users but i think it won't last long

I came across an article recently. Google is joining Facebook and Twitter to ban all crypto related ads. Why does everyone seem to want to frustrate crytocurrency?
Twitter have no official statement and implementation of the so-called bans in the ads that contain the promotions and websites of a specific cryptocurrency or ICO not in the present we can say Google follows the footsteps and measures of the ban implemented by the facebook, twitter may follow the examples of the two giant company in relation of the ban because of the pressure though it is not confirmed and announced yet, we have to expect the possibility or the worse cases, they are frustrated by the increasing scams from the complaining users, I read some complaints that why google allow such a scamful website to promote and boost its ads. Though it may have an impact it can protect and preserve potential investors in the cryptocurrency.

There is trouble abrewing
I came across an article recently. Google is joining Facebook and Twitter to ban all crypto related ads. Why does everyone seem to want to frustrate crytocurrency?

there actually is a lot of good reasons for banning these ads on Google and Facebook (never heard about Twitter! though).
for example if you do a little search among the tech supports and the people who lost money you can see a lot of them have lost it to fake wallets. for instance the original Electrum website is Electrum.org, they put up an ad for fake-electrum.org on google and when you search for Electrum that pops up on top of everything! a newbie easily loses money this way.
the other too obvious case is the case of ICO scams where they receive a lot of money for their pointless token and then as soon as they receive the money they stop working and move on to next ICO.
