It amazes me the number of men in crypto but women not so much.
When I talk to my girlfriend or female friends I feel like they don't care about it or I am crazy lol. I offered 3 of my female friends 10 dollars worth of Bitcoin via Coinbase to see if they will be interested.  I helped download the app, set up two-factor authentication and some other basic stuff. After a couple of months, they even don't recall how to access their wallets. I am very disappointed lol. Can someone explain to me why women are not interested in crypto?

I think just like in IT course you cannot see a lot of girl or women want to get an IT course or an engineering course but more like going for educational courses.
I think there is only a small percentage of women who likes technology itself maybe the millennials are techy today but if you are not I think you are not so much interested especially in investment in cryptocurrency you probably just going for a more practical investment or a business. Because it is more realistic in making a profit unlike bitcoin or cryptocurrency online money sound scam to them in my opinion.

Probably they don't want to reveal themselves as a woman on the net or the knowledge they have in bitcoins. The situation you are pertaining with is that woman(not in general but mostly) are not full time on computer compared to men who were having long interactions with it ranging from games, searches, etc.

I think even though there are still a few women who have bitcoin but every year there is an increase, for example in my country many women enter the community and they are enthusiastic about bitcoin. they are also part of a community that is actively trading in bitcoin

I think the reason why few woman who buys bitcoin because they don't have any interest to earn money through investing, trading, mining, etc. that they only have an interest to earn money by working in real jobs. Also, men are risk takers, unlike women they are afraid to take a risk because they are afraid to take the consequences.

You cannot say that because I am sure that in other places, women are interested in bitcoin, and they can learn by themselves. Perhaps, you choose the wrong women, so you feel they don't care about bitcoin. You can search the other women and teach them about bitcoin and let see what will they said about bitcoin. And if the other women will be the same as the last women that you taught, then you should search for the other women.

We can not generalize some women to be all of them because we are not search for in other places so we can conclude that women are not interested in bitcoin.

Absolutely, I don't think we can really know and measure women vs man who were interested and buying crypto unless we have full data from exchanges, payment platforms, but for now, I think it's not worth our time to measure who were in favor men or women, instead let's focus on how we are going to help everyone and explain what crypto is especially to Millennial.

Even man won’t have interest that fast lol because cryptocurrency is not that familiar with them and you should have first encourage them to learn and study before giving amount in bitcoin

How ca you expect them to just take the idea when they have nothing at all?just compare to yourself when crypto was first introduced to you what’s your reaction?
Same thing with them because it’s really hard to understand crypto not unless you will find the advantage right away

Women in general are looking for stability and not volatility which is exactly what Bitcoin as an asset is giving us. Plus maybe we have to look into the technical side of cryptocurrency to see if complicated mumbo jumbo is not another factor turning off many ordinary women to come onboard this industry. I am not saying that women are not open for change but maybe women are more wired to traditional way of doing things but this can be changing with the millennial generation where women are more aggressive, risk-prone and more adventurous, the right kind of attitude or mindset which Bitcoin can easily appeal to. Welcome more women to this whole cryptocurrency industry can be transforming its flavor and texture for the better.

I think it could be a combination of the fact that most tech geeks are guys plus it seems that a majority of financial  enthusiasts seem to be men as well.  I don’t really know why though.
Good reason to point is man is more likely techy and loves to explore while women are relying with facts and always wanted assurance. It's also a good sides of women to not to rush things and keep researching before jumping into conclusion and start working with any business or investment that they wanted to follow.

There are two gaps to consider.

Bitcoin is widely treated as an investment asset, and women generally invest in financial markets much less than men:
Why women invest 40 percent less than men
Why fewer women invest in the financial market

Secondly, there's the technology aspect. There is a pronounced gender gap in computing and STEM fields in general, partly due to differing levels of interest:

Quote
A survey, conducted by SWIFT ("Supporting Women in Information Technology") based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, asked 7,411 participants questions about their career choices. The survey found that females compared to males have lower levels of interest and perceived ability in computer science. This study (as well as others) provides a strong base for a positive correlation between both level of interest and perceived ability with career choice.

I'd like to add a potential third fact, women usually tend to value fiat. Having several digits in their bank accounts available to spend is more important for them. (Hey, this is my observation, don't flame me for this. Speaking from experience) holding a "virtual game money" for years and waiting for it to gain value is a no-go.

They don't care because you have given them a small amount but see to it if you'll be giving them hundreds to thousands of dollars worth of bitcoin, they will remember it and probably cash it immediately.

I guess the interest of woman isn't really into this but in the future, this might change.
This is the wrong mindset to have, it's the payment option that is the problem here, not the amount of money. Getting 300 dollars in any currency is going to turn heads, and if the ladies got 10 dollars in fiat, they would have likely just pocketed the money.

Even though this is a pretty small sample size, it's fairly accurate and representative of the scene. Women are statistically less interested in investments, compared to men, and since BTC is usually seen as an investment nowadays, women aren't going to interested in it.

We don’t know the exact numbers of women buying bitcoin and we can’t measure that because of the anonymity in the market. I have my girl friends who are buying bitcoin and in fact they are more greedy compare to my boy friends. Maybe, some women don’t want to take much risk and that’s why they don’t buy bitcoin instead they look for other investments.

I think you took the wrong approach. You gave 10 dollars worth Bitcoins to your female friends and except them to do what ? They have 10 dollars in their wallet and they do not need to open each day their wallet to see those 10 dollars. Instead you should have told them on how and where to earn the bitcoins.
Even if you had told them to how to get the bitcoins even through faucets, they might have developed them some interests in bitcoin. Later they could have explore to find more better ways for earning bitcoins.

Not to stereotype, but most of women does not really care to technical details, but only cares if a thing works or not. As long as something works, they'd use it, and if they don't see any use of it in the future, they would just forget it after they got what they want. They tend to focus more on other things, while men tend to be digitally oriented since more men are attracted into PC/digital world early on, hence why more people in the IT field and such are comprised of men. If Bitcoin would get adopted more wide-scale, then we might see balance of men and women's usage percentage if the future.

crypto investment has a high risk, and most women are afraid of high risk, they are more interested in something that has no risk, because basically women are stingy creatures.

Most women often do business online stores, such as selling clothes online.

yes maybe that's true because we know basically the nature of women is a teaser. lol  Grin

so I think women of course they prefer to follow the trends of clothing and beauty compared to crypto technology, but before I also heard that in America more women are adopting bitcoin compared to men.

I think if people not really interested since first, it is normal. But, out there a lot of female traders in crypto. And some of them maybe already know if crypto is make benefit for them. If they don't know about it yet, not only womam but even a man wouldn't interested about it.

Because basically women always receive directly instead of waiting for one of the investments the reason why women never invest is because of the long wait process and most women are easily scared when assets go down so women are not suitable to be in the crypto world
