Aside from monetary incentives in crypto, I rarely come across discussions pertaining to why the average enthusiast in crypto is involved with crypto. While the answer may be pretty straightforward, there are some outliers.

Crypto means much more than just monetary incentives, it's essentially a technical revolution that has involved the masses, something you and I can be apart of. Ultimately, that's probably one of my greatest interests for blockchain and crypto. Another big intrigue for me is the evolution of blockchain tech in itself. I've been around for quite sometime and have witnessed the evolution of cryptos, businesses, behaviors and attitudes.

These 2 factors, along with several others, are the reasons I continue to be involved on a community and business level with crypto. It's become a hobby, passion and business for me.

It is always a combination of joining the latest technology, making money, and learning new things. But I guess the topmost reason for a lot of people is that they will earn. Especially to those who are living in a country where Bitcoin or crypto is not yet legal or even illegal, they cannot appreciate the use of these coins. They may enjoy learning them here but it is of no use if they cannot apply it in real life. That is why they better put money first before other reasons.

At first, I accidentally knew the crypto world from someone in an online business group on Facebook. Yes, I tried to find additional income to pay for my tuition in 2014. Then someone in the group posted about bitcoin, and I'm curious about that. 1-2 days I learned from google what is bitcoin. A week later I tried to find a way to get it by following the initial giveaway from XLM. That was my first coin, and I immediately exchanged it for bitcoin on the Thailand exchange, I forgot the name.
Until now I am still bound by bitcoin, yes even though it is not for business purposes or anything that requires a large capital. I just believe that blockchain technology is what society needs for a fair life.

Fair life or not, cryptocurrency has been advanced to its state where people can actually use digital on many aspect. Admit it or not, crypto will only go forward and improved. Ever since its release 2009 it becomes a wild ground for innovations. I attached with it due to the fact that I can used them for many things and monetizing it is one thing Ive done.

Bitcoin is the first generation blockchain while ethereum and other smart contract type of crypto is the second. Lastly, the third one is something out of blockchain related the DAG, crypto such as railblock and iota using this tech. Actually its fastest than blockchain but still lack full equipped tech to be called perfect. Im wanted to see the 4th one that can be something that bypass the lack of these mentioned in terms of decentralization.

Honestly, at first i see crypto is not as currency or maybe technology inside it. I see, some people in crypto trading can be good earning way beside my real job. And then i start to join in some Facebook communities. Meet some trading friends and make group by ourself. And then until now, i do trading but only with very low capital, because my real  job for now still take much of my time.
Crypto trading can help us leave our job if are willing to take time to study, as well doing bounties. It's nice that we have extra income we can depend when we finally want to leave the tiring 8hrs work, overtime and traffic. I started also in crypto as I'm finding ways to gain profit in my savings, stocks came then searching for trading crypto and bitcoin came along in searches then the story goes on.

That is not necessary, why would you leave youre job just to focus on crypto? Why not making it just a hobby and passion on getting involve? Many here have the same opinion with you, but if youre a truly crypto enthusiats you wouldnt focus alone on creating some income out of it. Learn to love a little part of it. Think of it as just a bonus to what you can learn and grasp.

Last November 1, 2017 I started to create an account here in forum knowing I can earn some money from this so called cryptocurrency. Yes that is the goal but eventually, when I was riding with blockchain knowledge that I accumulated over the past years. Is started to be connected with it that somehow I dont want to leave already.

Involvement in crypto is one of my greatest achievement. Imagine from zero knowledge about it, I can explain to others its usefulness. Well, that's a perk of crypto. Set aside, the monetize part, but this creation really made the world have a better and stable innovation. I'm not saying we stop from here, there is always room for something great and improvement of blockchain tech overtime is inevitable.

Ive seen the admiration of OP, ever since I see his post and respone towards crypto. Likewise, Im a bit fan of tk808, cause his truly an crypto enthusiast.

Same reasons with you bro, Ive been involve in crypto a few years back with the idea to have a monetize incentives  but actually, ever since I was involved, I can see its usefulness in many aspect. One of this is the convenient on payment option. We know that digital is one of the best option for our ease and relaxation, and to be honest using crypto is stress free.

I became interested in crypto not solely because of the money involved, but rather the technology behind it, the blockchain. An ideology made way before bitcoin but popularized by Satoshi. It isn't made only for currency, but it provides a framework to work on a public ledger, that is secure enough that alterations are almost impossible. It is what I believe in and that's what bitcoin had been able to do, and much better and reliable to other altcoins in the market. However, not all things last forever and there would be some time in the future where another framework, or just new cryptocurrency, or another crypto-related service that would revolutionize something traditional as of now, which is worth investing.

Aside from money, I really like the idea of have my way of payment without any person keeping for me or the government know every detail about me

Another great thing that I'm passionate about is the fact that cryptos are not controlled or created by governments, it's awesome

Since the beginning knowing crypto, I want to continue to be involved in it. Why so? besides being interested in the technology behind it, for me crypto is an easy and fast way to earn money. I can say this because has compared it to other industries that I have lived in. In fact, I am willing to quit job so that I can continue to be involved with crypto and can focus on studying its knowledge deeper.
A lot of people have given up on their current jobs to focus more on this market because this is where you can be financially free and not have to spend too much time making money. In fact, the crypto market needs a lot of knowledge to survive because any mistake will cost you money and if you don't control psychology, you will easily panic sell.

Of course, anyone wants to make money in this market but it is still best to have a stable job to maintain your daily life because the crypto market has huge investment risks you can't predict.

Mainly, I feel like I am free with crypto. If we debate about this, the economy is the most important in everywhere and everything, and I think if you are economically free, then you are free. For now, our freedom seems to be limited in such a large area as the internet, but we will take our freedom beyond borders. Also, we use crypto for trade too, but this should not be seen as misdemeanor, in capitalism everything is traded, even the breath we take.

When I discovered bitcoin, I was very excited too. But years passed and I became a little bit sceptical. Crypto industry in general became a house for all sorts of scams. Thanks to ethereum platform, anyone could create any amount of useless tokens and start any kind of scammy ICO. We saw the boom of such activities in 2017-2018. Market was bombarded with crypto projects and people invested billions of dollars in that projects. 99% of them were pure scams. 1% of them had some interesting ideas but also failed, because investors used such projects as a speculative instruments only and never cared about actual development. In another words all of them ended up as a pump and dump schemes. Now in 2019 we have exactly the same situation and there is only one difference. Even if you have a good project with great potential, it is very hard to find investors, because due to very bad experience all ICO's IEO's are associated with one word SCAM. This is a fault of financial authorities, because until now, there are no clear regulations for crypto in EU, USA and CHINA. All this situation damaged the reputation of BTC too and all major banks became very sceptical towards Bitcoin and all crypto in general. If you ask me, bitcoin will be never adopted as an official payment instrument and will be always used for speculation purposes only. Banks will never allow that. There is the similar situation with altcoins. Blockchain itself together with smart contracts still have a great potential and some countries already adopted them. For example in Georgia blockchain is used for storing a public data in a government agency. They also realised that allowing crypto trading  and taxiing it can bring a good income in the budget and now crypto operations are officially allowed there and taxed (15%). (You still can not officially pay for anything using crypto. Only exchange trading is allowed) Estonia is doing the same and in near future most EU countries will follow. So let me bring together all written above.

1. Will governments adopt BTC as a official payment instrument? = NO
2. Will governments allow crypto trading = YES
3. Does blockchain and smart contracts still have a potential? = YES

As an idealist, I was simply sucked in to crypto-word by the statement this technology makes.
I saw poverty, corruption, sickness and death caused by the literally evil creature from Jekyll island and it's minions from Breton Woods. I have immediately saw the power, pure force that emanates from the idea, it's creator and his early followers. This aura was like a breath of fresh air for me, a new hope for mankind to break the shackles of insidious monetary systems. I couldn't resist no to be a part of this movement, I was bound to it, compelled to propagate and support this ground breaking innovation, that is, in fact, anti-revolutionary in nature. Crypto is more oldschool than meets the eye, it's a back to the roots.

That is what makes cryptocurrency so interesting. In one hand, you have many opportunities to invest, trade, and do other fun things by maximizing technological development. This effectiveness made me interested and focused on cryptocurrency. This is an ideal job for those who like challenges and are interested in technology.

I've seen the potential of this market and not just the monetary benefit that it can give but all of those characteristics that it offers to us. Like those, sending fees are cheap unlike the traditional transfer methods that are taking time. With crypto, the transfer time is different from the usual that we've known, it's quick and very reliable. Also, you can trade it as if you're trading like in stocks. I believe the future of crypto that's why I'm staying here and I didn't go wrong upon seeing on how it grows for the short time that I've been involved on it.
