I also have a lot of coins that have no value. All of them came from bounty campaigns and an uncountable number of airdrops, in which I constantly participated when I first started learning about cryptocurrencies. 80% of them are unlikely to ever come to life.

I hold some shitcoin, not because I want to hold it back, it's just that the shitcoin I hold has no market. possibility when entering the market I will sell it directly

All of us have some thoughts that someday our holding coins get a higher value. That's why we can't release or getting exchange, in that case holding is just like an investing wait for the boom to succeed.
That is, if what we hold is good coins that are always being developed by the team, but if it's just storing shitcoins that are no longer being developed by the team, then don't expect the coin to get a higher value in the future.

There are some tokens in my ethereum wallet that have lost value to the extent I don't think they can ever recover even if the bull market starts tomorrow due to the level of competition in the altcoin market. I also bought some coins but can't remember the password or name of exchange i bought them on (thinking it was cryptopia) I didn't bother transferring it off the exchange and most of them were bought around 1satoshi.
Back to my ethereum wallet, each time I see those worthless token I just laugh and continue with what I login my wallet to do. If you ask me why I'm still holding does tokens in my wallet I can't give a reply. Why are you still holding those shitcoins sorry altcoin
Because they remind me that everything was done for a reason. Yes, there are certainly failures and coins do not grow in price and remain on our wallets for many years, and sometimes forever, but there are coins that go immediately and at a great price. I also don't delete old tokens, because I hope for growth and just don't know how to remove them from my wallet. They don't bother me
Last sentence stands for the biggest reason for me - it just doesn't bother me, why would I sell it or do anything about it, even if its falling in terms of price.
Moreover, I am strongly sure that if you ever invested some money in probably deadborn coin - you can live through losing this amount of money without any suffer whatsoever.
Thus, if you will get any profit from it even if its one of 100 ones you've invested in - it will feel like a miracle.
And lastly, you do support young projects this way.

because I still believe that some of the new tokens or coins that I got from the bounty project will have a good selling price one day, that's why I still hold them today as well. I'm still waiting for the good days to sell it.

Usually, people buy altcoins because they don't understand the source code. They buy because someone says the altcoin is cheap and it will go up in price. It is also possible that because they bought for a premium and they did not dare to sell it at a cheaper price, they continued to DCA and drowned in the existing position.
The cryptocurrency market is very difficult, losing is part of the game, you need to accept stop loss and move on.

Same things happened to me. On my etherwallet I have ethplode, rakun, tele token, trxc, ents token but those are completely worthless. Even I give up all my hope to get back some profits from these cryptos. I have spent more than 400$ on these worthless cryptos. Still I am holding these.

We won't know that shit coin might become a great coin in the future, but the chance is only 0.01% i guess  Grin
Many people was getting late to sell their coin before it goes to shit, and they don't care anymore now, that's why they still hold it.

many of the people who join the cryptocurrency world save their shitcoin because they still hope that one day the coin will be of high value, or there are also those who keep shitcoin until now because they don't have a suitable market to sell the coin
Well, you can't really do anything about it. It is shitcoin and no one will buy it, so you can't sell it. Also, most of the shitcoins on my eth wallet didn't even reach exchange listing. I guess they will forever be on my wallet. But you can't still change the fact that we're hoping in the future that it will have value.
No one would indeed buy a shitcoin, so you won't be able to sell it. The coin that I received as a reward from my past signature campaigns is stock in my wallet because it doesn't have any reasonable value. But some crypto investors risk their money to buy shitcoins, and they have been able to earn profit from it.
They must have some sort of reason to invest on some sh*tcoin. Also, investors does not just risk their money into some shitcoin without proper research. They must have heard some news like some new features of the product/platform that will probably appreciate the price of the coin.

I've never bought a shitcoin. Only bitcoin. I guess that even if your shitcoins' collection worth about 10-50$, it won't make any difference to your life, so why not just keep hodl them? On a piece of paper of course, you shouldn't waste your storage with shitsoftwares.

Don't forget that we are in the start of the crypto world. Many cryptos may have some serious spikes in the future.

Although, don't be crazy optimistic like those who believe that dogecoin will reach $1 someday, I mean c'mon guys...  Roll Eyes

Not different to my situation. I have shitcoins that I got from failed bounties and serves us a remembrance to my past experiences. Well I cant do anything about these shitcoins but to let it stay to my wallet.

There's no harm and who knows a miracle might happen and they can gain value again.

In my experienced no shitcoin has ever comeback because these shitcoins in my wallet has no more exchange that  I  can liquidate, I should have sold some of them to cut my losses but I waited to long until these coins, become shitcoin moral of the story if the coin continue to lose value cut your losses and just dump them, then never look back.

There's no harm for you but there's no benefit as well Cheesy. Miracle? Sorry to say but chances for it to come for yout sh*tcoins is very low simply because they're sh*t. Large whales of such coin dumped it already and nothing will change unless they decided to re invest again.

You said that all of them are remembrance from your pasr experiences, right? Now I hope you are no longer collecting "remembrance" hahaha. I hope you now learned a lesson from it.

I think most of us that are in the trading market from before 2017 have some of those shitcoins in our wallets , When everything went up those days even bitconnect!
I remember I had around 100 Bismuth and it worth 100$ then now only worth 1$ and many exchanges have removed it  Grin

Because I already bought or got from the bounty, I can't help but keep the altcoins in my wallet, considering that the current price of gas is so high, it's really hard to dump or trade on the market.
so I just leave it as a reminder of past mistakes.

Shitcoins could be setting on my wallets forever, I would be lucky if I can move some of them If they show signs of life however hey are part of my collection now reminding good old and prime days of ICO’s.

But still glad that I had that experience, I become more mature in choosing the right coins to buy and what are the good characteristics of the coin to consider.
shitcoin is usually obtained from unclear airdrops or other things. however, I think it's better to have shitcoin in your wallet right now than to throw it away. one of the reasons why there are still quite a lot of shitcoins in someone's wallet is, they expect that it has a price, and the other is, they don't want to make their money on transaction fees which are quite expensive for a coin that has no price.
