Even without regulation it has no value. A new currency pops up every week with the same properties as the last and somehow they all have positive market capitalizations- creating 'value' out of thin air. It fits the exact definition of a speculative bubble.
Actually I don't think that bitcoin can be the safest investment since were all know that investing in cryptocurrencies it's too risky because of its price fluctuates to high it might be dump to hard or fall.
of course all of us already knew that cryptos are all risky due to their unstability but not only cryptos because even other legal investments do also have a risk because not all times you can get a return for your invested capital .
now going back to cryptos , bitcoin can be considered safe among other cryptos because it is the first coin and already been tested for years .
I dont think bitcoin is the safest investment, its true that bitcoin got limited supply and the more adoption could make the price go higher, but now the problem lies in adoption, and some of the feature makes bitcoin not benefit the country, and the government able to ban bitcoin, with less adoption the price will fall down, and I personally think bitcoin is the most profitable investment but not the safest, decentralised investment safety cant win with centralised investment

I think bitcoin is the best and safest investment in my opinion, this bitcoin has a very limited total supply and has technology that can record all transactions that have been done and the security for access is also very high because it has a random private key to enter the wallet you, so bitcoin is the safest and most convenient investment place.

2. Bitcoin is limited in supply , only 21 Million Bitcoin can ever be created. Out of which 4 million is already lost making it 17 Million.
3. Bitcoin remains dominant in the coinmarketcap with 55% of the entire marketcap
4. Bitcoin current price is still higher than what it is this same time last year

Bitcoin investment is indeed the safest investment but i don't think bitcoin is limited. As days go by, new bitcoins are mined. The number of bitcoins which were available in 2017 is not the same as the number of bitcoins available now. One of reasons for reduction in the market price of bitcoin is due to increase in the number of bitcoin circulating.
