Those taxes are kinda going to our better life, police, medicine and so on. But many of politics and oligarchs long time ago proved that taxes can be skipped or moved to a minimum Meanwhile we do not have careful maid cine care and security, for the quality of such simple things we should pay ourselves and search for other ways to satisfy our needs. That's just rediculous, but the situation isn't going to become better.

The way that the tax function in the society is important (specially those countries that don't have enough resources to cover all the needs of the nation) so they are taking the human resources. What's not good is that the higher ups in that country are not using that tax for the benefits of all, instead it is being used in their own greed. That's why the tax has a bad name for some people and that's why questions like "why do people agree to pay taxes?" are being made is because the officials are using it in a bad way.

I have no objection to paying taxes. I think it's silly to think you can have a cohesive society without paying taxes, it would be a jungle if we had no hospitals, schools, public services etc that were not free and everything you had to pay for. who would win then? The Oligarchs and banksters like Jamie Dimond who can afford to do whatever they want and the poor would only suffer. Scandanavia has high tax levels and the highest living standards in the world. So I'm not against even moderate tax levels.

My main objections however are more on a political level:

1) The way governments tar Bitcoin and crypto with the brush its for criminals. Considering how much money goes through Wall Street and banks that is used for laundering, terrorism, drugs cartels or whatever dodgy stuff the CIA/FSB (KGB) is up to to fund their dodgy acts they have some nerve, they are simply trying to control people and keep them down with lots of media disinformation.

2) The way the governments show a lack of consistency in regulation and keep moving the goalposts. In the UK currently hardly anyone knows what to declare in our tax returns in regards to crypto. The advice they have published is still vague and they are incompetent really, a lot of people will end up not declaring correctly or some may avoid it if they make life too difficult.

3) The banks and legacy financial system. It's foundations are not fit for purpose, not for the benefit of people and they don't care. Max keiser has called them Financial terrorists and I think thats what they are. They are dinosaurs, scared of Bitcoin/Blockchain, sharing wealth and have vested interests in making life difficult for people who trade crypto. I hope they are eventually replaced by decentralised crypto banks that at least offer a halfway house between a normal bank whilst not making life difficult for people dealing in crypto and care about the industry rather than the old boys networks the likes of JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs etc want to maintain to keep people in their place.

 

Because it's a "MUST". Its a government policy, so being a law-abiding-citizen you must have to pay your taxes base on your profit/income. And also addition to that, our taxes plays a big role in our community, developing roads for us to have a nice one and many more, unless the government is not corrupt we have no worries for that taxes we paid regularly.

People agree on paying taxes because that is their social responsibility as a citizen of their country. Taxes are what fuels the government for projects like infrastructures and projects that will benefit most of the citizens. Maybe some gets disheartened because most of the news published by the media is always bad, like officials corrupting peoples taxes that is why citizens dont get motivated to pay taxes.
If you are going to look at it in a different light, we benefit from taxes a lot. From roads, garbage collection, water filtration-- see these may appear simple but this has a great impact on our daily living.

If a certain individual is good and law abiding citizen, you will really agree on paying taxes because it is your mark as legal citizen in your country, that you consider the government to gather sufficient funds for the welfare of everybody, so as a citizen to the country where you belong, you must not think of yourself all the way, instead look forward also to the good future of the country by paying your taxes and abiding the law implemented, not only for yourself but for the future also of your next generation.

Taxes is very important because it will use by government to serve the citizens in return that they will use it to pay our soldiers, policemen, public teachers and other government workers. Taxes will also be use for infrastructures like building of bridges, public hospitals, market and schools, roads, and government buildings for our document needed. I think that most people only pay taxes to avoid fines and jailtime, basically because it's illegal to not pay your taxes.

What do you want? pay the government with taxes or no government and let different groups made that to us?

People pay taxes in fulfilment of their civic responsibility. Beyond this, taxes are payed by individuals pay taxes to enable government meet up with its obligations to the generality of the citizenry. Tax payers monies goes to building infrastructure and payments of public servants. Hence, people pay taxes because it is obligatory by law to do so.

Right and then I think government will allow them to sue bitcoin openly or they will make bitcoin a legal currency. it is our first and the most important duty to pay all our taxes on time so this thing will make us more responsible, price of bitcoin is god now so it is better pay our tax and make bitcoin strong more and more, currency use to increase when government make it legal so bitcoin will be one of legal currencies in future.

as soon as your country soon to accept and legalize bitcoin, you will still be charged by taxes and you cannot avoid or evade it because that is the law and rule by governments in order to help improve the economy by implementing or improving the society. yet most governments are known to be corupt and as a result the taxes collected by them are not used to its real purpose rather they only use it for their own sake. that is the real problem that we should worry about and not the tax itself.

Taxes definitely must be spent properly. If not then it would be the citizens who will suffer. Spending on wrong investments or spending in oneself, as in corruption would definitely cause imbalance on the economy as a whole and hinder the progress of a country. If you read about the history of tax, social security and insurance, it sure is fishy, like one of them is saying, "milk factory" and they have unlimited supply of "milk". We can't do anything about them now since it is part of the society but at least we would understand better what were paying for, or rather what is deducted from our pay before we even take hold of it.

Paying taxes is the most retarded thing that government making us to do... I am just happy that i know about bitcoin and can use this wonderful currency without any taxes for income im getting.

All of these things were previously run privately.  Its normal for people born now but the older generation can remember smaller government, lower taxes, less coverage from central bodies.

The only time I really agree with a large tax and spend system is for health care.   People of a nation are the greatest investment any government or country could make in itself, far more then infrastructure or other ventures.

A bridge can envisaged, planned and paid for by private industry, its often possible to see revenue streams ahead of time.   A crying baby who needs care and attention by doctors in order to become a productive adult that will produce for his country is a harder case to make and also it might take 20 years to see those returns.    I will agree with healthcare for a national tax and spend government but other concerns are far overblown.

Most notable misuse of taxes is for 'defence' and unfortunately it becomes more likely that wars occur.    Most people would not opt to be contributing every week towards weapons that could destroy entire regions.   Very obviously the productive gain from war is not there, USA and arguably most of Europe spends far too much on preparations for war instead of just defending their own national borders which is justified as a national concern.

People pay taxes out of fear quite often.   I agree with taxes based on spending more then earning, never try to discourage people from honest labour and enterprise that also is a negative.

People are paying taxes to their government because
These taxes are going to the wallet of government and on these funds then government can give salaries to your country government employees and also doing development works for a country so that country become more develop and country people get more facilities.

who doesn't agree?? it's like were born with it without knowing. In Ec, tax is like savings, bad for the whole unless properly spent in full. Why social security? why insurance? why loans? it's the norm.

Paying taxes on every person is must because if your country economy is strong then you will feel yourself more secure and if you country is secure then there will be more development and if your country is developing then it means you are developing and every person have aim to do development in their life. so that is why every person is agree to pay taxes happily.

Personally as a member of a society and a concern citizen of my country, I agree to pay some taxes. Why? Imagine if we all pay our tax (with the right price) there has a high possibility that the economy will rise and also the poverty rate or number will fall.
