Because they don't know what bitcoin really are. They only know that is dead because they not use it but, we all know that bitcoin is alive and its help up mentally and financially.

Bitcoin won't be dead until the trading volume hits $0 even then , there is a huge infrastructure build around bitcoin like companies, services,VC etc. As long as bitcoin is trading and people exchange goods and other monetary value there will always be a price and a trading volume for bitcoin.

I must admit I am getting very worried, it is under 230 USD now.
When we where at 800, people said that it will never go under 400,
when we where at 400 people said that it will never go under 200.

But 200 looks very realistic, even sub 100.
I don't have too much a stake, but I am affraid that I can not buy my things with bitcoin in the future.

People have always been off with speculation. Visit the speculation forum to see how off people can be. The low price doesn't necessarily mean the currency is dead. The community behind Bitcoin is still strong. The price is bound to go up eventually. The reason I see people claiming the currency is dead is just based on the price alone and nothing more than that.

why you are worried? we are already fallen to sub 200, remember the 150-180 range? then we returned fast to the current point

sub 200 isn't that scary, the scary thing abnout it is that it could trigger a sub 100, which can be seen as bitcoin being almost dead

That would just be crazy, imagine if bitcoin goes to 1 dollar, or even 1 cent.
I it will be a very sad world if that happens.
Also people will stop doing that mining thing becasue there will be no point.
Sad sad. I hope it will stay right here, where it is right now.
Constant at 230.00 USD.

don't worry about bitcoin being worth $1 as it just won't happen. bitcoin had a bad start this year. right now the price is a normal reflection of all the drama that we went through.

But on the other hand If it goes to 1 USD, then I think I will buy 100 BTC!!! That would be fun to have, as a memory Smiley
Have a good one Smiley

Because people see and feel more on a negative loss, then a positive one lol.

You can do this yourself, but go to primedice and roll 50 times of 0.0001 and when you get to a large principal after 50 times, then last roll a negative wiping out that entire sum. Yeah, you`ll remember more on the negative then the positive of getting to it.

This debate is to show you most of us feel x7 more on loss. So when the price drops on a trend, yeah people feel the same page and do the same.

BTC dead? Well I certainly don't think so. More and more people are getting to know Bitcoin, and using it. More and more businesses are accepting BTC as a form of payment. This is how I see it: More people know it, more people use it. More people using it, the price drops. The price drops, more people know it. Then, the price goes up again, since the demand is high. In summary, Bitcoin is not dead.

That's most likely the case. But why can these people not just shut their mouth and not bother us with their crap.

If you think Bitcoin is dead, then sell your coins if you haven't already, and don't come back. It's not that hard.

because some people just doesn't want anyone other than themselves to be happy.

I know about that Satellite project and I am really curious how this will play out but that is just a random bitcon event. Do you see any price rise after that announcement? I didn't.
Most people don't care about fancy projects like that, they care about real improvements, new services, possibilities and above all bitcoin price. That is why we have stagnant bitcoin economy, people are starting to doubt.

exactly. what I'd like to see is some kind of event that will make the public have a higher opinion of bitcoin, something that might help them. not only the bitcoin community, not someone who's been charged of criminal activity, but THE FUCKING PEOPLE, DAMMIT.

People who are saying bitcoin is dead have,

- Lost most of their bitcoin or all of them

- Sold everything

- An now they are trying to make you sell everything in order to feel not jelous

So don't pay them any attention. They don't deserve it. You have your own wits, use them to observe the market, the price, the movements and try to make this community better.

BTC is not dead.

They're sending a satellite into space!

You should also be holding all of the marijuana niche coins solely based on the cool/popularity factor.

Every time, for as long as I remember, that I go on bitcointalk, everyone keeps posting "BTC IS DEAD" "SELL" etc... And then a few Sr/Hero members come and explain how thats wrong.

I just don't get it.

Aren't we used to the price fluctuating by now? Whats with all the crying/moaning about price bubbles, crashing, inflations, Russia, China blablablablablablaaaaa!

Jeez... Do some research before posting, I saw one post which got LOADS of attention, yet the first post was done by paint, with an unlabelled graph which showed wrong data!

This is getting to the point where we are affecting newer members or gullible people into selling/dumping all their coins instead of keeping them. I mean when I come on the forum, I see that its crashing, why would I buy in?

I think we need to stop giving the panicking people attention and focus more on positive sides.

Look at this and realize how stupid people look when they say "Bitcoin is dead" from now on.

These investors are investing in the bitcoin technology. These technologies can be used in many coins, not necessary bitcoin.

Primarily inflation occurs when money is created and loaned into to circulation as debt, at interest under the fractunal reserve banking system.

Primarily deflation occurs when money is extinguished and credit resticted whithdrawing money from circulation under the fractunal reserve banking system.

The central bankers regulate the volume of the currency, m-1 m-2 m-3 of the money supply and the velocity of the currency, the sum price of the commodities divided by number of the moves of the currency of the same denomination equaling amount of money serving as circulating medium by expansion and contraction of credit

Dont teach me what is deflation. Deflation (and inflation) is imbalance. Please, go back to school and learn again the economics.
