If Bitcoin goes up 10%, people are full of joy and are happy, if Bitcoin goes down 10% Bitcoin is dead and Bitcoin is useless.

The people that say BTC will fail just want faucet payouts to be higher!

I think Bitcoin is very much still at a place where things could go very well or it could fizzle out into history. I'm a fan of success but I'm not sure that the bears in the audience are trying to keep prices down so they can buy more at a low price. Majority of the people in the world would be bearish on bitcoin...especially if it's "just like using cash!"

Because if it's "just like using cash" why not just use cash?

Those people who wants to see it fail are probably those guys who have missed their chance and would rather see everybody fail and ended up same predicament as them. I don't see it dead, neither it's dying and I really don't understand how people would come to this conclusion. Everybody has the right to say what they want but do you really want to believe them?

Obviously, no one in their right mind and good judgments will ever believe such ignorance of other people. If you know that bitcoin will indeed succeed, why would waste your time listening to such naysayers when you could probably carry on and ignore those kind of people? The people who listen to those naysayers are the biggest losers in the end (plus if they bought during the hype. $500-$600 Tongue ).

Every time, for as long as I remember, that I go on bitcointalk, everyone keeps posting "BTC IS DEAD" "SELL" etc... And then a few Sr/Hero members come and explain how thats wrong.

I just don't get it.

Aren't we used to the price fluctuating by now? Whats with all the crying/moaning about price bubbles, crashing, inflations, Russia, China blablablablablablaaaaa!

Jeez... Do some research before posting, I saw one post which got LOADS of attention, yet the first post was done by paint, with an unlabelled graph which showed wrong data!

This is getting to the point where we are affecting newer members or gullible people into selling/dumping all their coins instead of keeping them. I mean when I come on the forum, I see that its crashing, why would I buy in?

I think we need to stop giving the panicking people attention and focus more on positive sides.

I agree.

These people who constantly posts those things are probably jealous. They probably don't own any bitcoins.

Maybe they have some bitcoins, but it's just that they can't make something good out of it. Those people who spreads fud are likely to be those who has been burned in the process.

A much more positive focus will happen "automatically" once the next big up-wave in prices gets going.
The bull market will appear because Bitcoin fundamentals are amazingly strong.

re: The negativity, much of which comes from trolls.
I was lucky to be here ~1 month before the first major troll invasion in 2011.
They are not going away, even though most good people wish they would. Negativity cannot stop Bitcoin, but you are correct that some real damage is done every day. People who stay more than an hour will quickly see that there is plenty of good vibes here, competing with the garbage.

Simple, because they don't really know what is bitcoin / cannot accept bitcoin
I'm sure they will regret what they said now

Just ignore people like who keep saying bitcoin is dead

Some people who said that bitcoin is dead are also users of the coin. They simply just don't believe that bitcoin can and will succeed.

This always happens when the price is in a downtrend...The ones stuck in fiat who missed the rally from $100 are trying to get others to panic and sell so they can buy bitcoins for cheap...

Some of them are trolls and just want the attention...best to ignore them...

This sounds reasonable, but maybe they should get blocked for spamming or something, not sure how the moderation on this forum works

Why should they be blocked? if the posts are frequently occurring from a single user then it may as well be considered as spam, but if it comes from different individuals, why should they be banned? They're only stating what they think is the status of the coin, and that may be considered as they're own opinion. If you don't want to see those posts, ignore button works wonders.

because they dont have enough money to invest in bitcoins

the price drop is because of the problem arises when the cost of mining – electrically, hardware, staff – exceeds the value of Bitcoins received. That’s the point at which they stop, and the infrastructure crumbles.

The only people who say that mostly are people who have lost money on investing into bitcoin and have lost due to the price going down.
I bet they would now say it has revived.

No they are still crying that it is dying i still see it after all this time here, the thing is it will always be around us because what happens is people believe they are going to get rich from this over night so they invest more than they can afford to lose then when the price drops a little because they have invested more than they can afford they get emotional and that is where all that whining comes from or they just sell and leave for good which is a shame if they just listened to experienced members who say not to invest more then they would find it super exciting and may even have fun. Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?!

Because they are a jealous bunch, most of them are butt hurt because they missed the boat and don't have enough money to buy lots of BTC. So they dream about $1 Bitcoin and how they'll buy thousands if that happens.

And people that say it isn't dead are the ones that invested, didn't sell and are butthurt and not selling, saying it will not crash so they can wait for 1K to sell next time.
