I've a friend of mine who always complain that ever since he started gambling he haven't won a good amount, instead he'll be winning less money than what he expected but he can't stop. So I'm asking what do you suggest he should do at this case. For me I told him that he should know that gambling it's a game of risk and luck, but with the constant betting you might win the amount you've at mind someday. So what are your suggestions towards this.

Constant betting will not make you to win, if you think that you might get lucky one day, it might not happen or you will end up losing more money than you will be able to win. Do not depend on gambling that it is going to make you money one day, there are many people that thought in the same way but they do not have any success since they have been gambling. People continue to gamble in the hopes of winning one day, this is why they do not stop in spite of gambling not giving them good results. I would not want to keep losing money from gambling therefore if gambling was not favoriing me I would not continue to gamble. Gambling has a spirit that wants you to continue playing in spite of all the losses that you are getting from it. Gambling is not an evil sport but if you are abusing it, it will cause you harm.
Gambling is completely dependent on luck they don't believe in it they use their experience and skills to win gambling with confidence they go back to gambling after losing again and again. Gambling drives people who are addicted to gambling crazy. for this one should always try to keep oneself away from gambling and must keep a long break during gambling. otherwise, gambling addiction will drag you there again and again even if you lose again and again

It's simply another form of addiction. For some people.  In the case of your friends it seems like that.  For other people like me I use it as a form of entertainment and honestly if I lost all the time but enjoyed the gambling aspect of it than I'm not too worried.  Not that I don't want to win but I don't bet enough for it to become addictive one way or another.
Let's say that as a starting point where someone will be addicted to gambling in the end because people who have a gambling budget limit and limit their gambling habits will not bet more and continue playing, they will stop consistently because that way they can avoid gambling addiction, especially if the goal is to recover from losses so that you continue to play and bet more when you lose it will definitely not work in the end, I often meet people like that around me, my gambling friend, he always plays like that and hasn't changed that's why he is addicted to gambling now.

Everyone has their own goals but most of them gamble for money and want to win big so they are willing to bet even bigger because they want to win. I think there is something wrong with their mindset so it must be straightened out that gambling is not just about winning but you have to understand risk and must also accept defeat, every gambler who only considers gambling as a means to have fun will definitely not be serious when experiencing defeat, he will stop whenever he wants and will not continue to bet bigger just to try to recover from the loss.

He should take a break and he should talk to people about this issue, he believes he will win to recover all his losses, he might take so many risks just to win but gambling is a game of luck.
It's more better if he doesn't have to playing gambling, especially if he can't wins the gambling games. Instead gets lose more money in gambling, that will be the best decision if he can stops gambling immediately and allocates his money to other things that will helps him to improves his lives. His risks of losing the money will be bigger if he keeps playing gambling, even if he can wins small money, that doesn't mean he can wins much money because in gambling, someone can't wins easily. He must realizes about that and needs to stops his gambling activity immediately to prevents the other losses. Take a break can be a solution to him but he must knows that take a break for a while can makes him to back to the gambling games and that can makes him playing gambling aggressively without thinks to stops playing gambling.

However chasing losses will always be a bad idea when it comes to gambling, not least because casinos apply random algorithms to every game which makes the outcome at the end of the session always unknowable, on the other hand I'm not going to say that the idea won't work because of course anything can happen if they manage to get lucky, but what we have to remember is that it's very difficult to get that good luck to reach the recovery stage or to restore all the losses you've experienced.

And it's also a nonsensical idea to chase losses where you've lost money, and we should be able to think in this direction that it was gambling that made you lose money in the first place, and it doesn't make sense to chase losses in the same place, obviously. And as you said, in the end it will most likely only increase the amount of loss and this has been proven because there are enough cases like this where chasing losses creates a much worse situation.

Yes, it is true that some people gamble just for fun, but this will be difficult for those who gamble out of greed and habit. They will continue to play bets as long as they still have funds that they can gamble and only realize after they have used up the funds they have. just regret it, this is really pointless because they won't be able to get back the money they bet.
Someone who has developed an addiction will of course put them in financial problems and it is important for every gambler to be able to control themselves in the gambling they play so that they do not experience bad effects on themselves.

Of course, those who gamble by prioritizing their greed will not make themselves lucky, because those who follow their greed will only lead them to greater losses which in the end will only make them feel regret. This also means that they are addicted to gambling and of course they will continue to bet even though they have experienced a losing streak, whether they have money or not is not their benchmark, even though they no longer have money, but because they are addicted to gambling they will still do everything to can return to gambling, such as by borrowing money or even taking big risky actions that could harm themselves or even other people.

The desire to be able to recover losses continues to incite them to gamble, even though they lose that is not the end of their gambling, they will come back by betting again and the predictable ending is losing money again and regretting that it continues like that so that it becomes an impulsive act. What you say is correct, it is important for gamblers to be able to control themselves so that they don't experience big losses, because big losses can be prevented by us controlling everything, including the gambling we do, if we have self-control that can be determined, maybe there won't be any losses. something big happens or an action that carries a big risk.

You're not yet addicted if you have lost for the first time and you still want to come back. There's nothing with that, IMHO. But if you're keep on coming back and you're harming your daily tasks, your family and other people. Then there's something wrong with you. It's a human nature that we keep coming back even if we lose, it's our natural instinct not to give up too early. However, if you're seeing that there's no return and value to what you do and you are getting the same results of frustrations, that's the time that you should move on because no one will be able to change that results but you. So, either you will still come back but in some other days or you'll never come back and do something different for you to find that satisfaction result. This is very common in gambling and even if we've been losing a lot of cash, we're all brave to keep on going until we realize that there's no sense to keep on losing but when you get there, it's hard to move on because of how much loss you already have.

Your friend complaint is normal when it comes to gambling, it's not a place where you will win and then quit, even if you win somehow gambling has a way it drag you back, so your friend might not be suffering from anything actually but with a condition where he gambles with the amount he can afford to lose. If he gamble with less amount of money, there is no harm in trying again as you never know when you will win money to recoup your loses.

The only caution I will give your friend is to improve on his gambling skills, it's not palatable for a gambler to lose money continuesly, there most be a change in your result; if one doesn't work you have to give it another way and try it, gambling has hundreds of ways to utilize options to win gambling, one must work for you.

Addiction to gambling goes beyond pulling a lever or playing cards. Your brain lights up like a Christmas tree after your first major triumph. Like drugs, man. You follow that feeling even when the chances are against you because it hijacks your reward system. It goes beyond luck. It depends on your brain wiring, life events, and money and risk beliefs. Not everyone is susceptible, and it's hard to predict who will tumble down that rabbit hole

What can you do? Man, be aware. When playing, you must be mindful of your emotions. Thinking you're invincible or about to win big is a red flag. It's time to reconsider. In the zone, it's hard to accomplish that. Flashing lights and coins striking the tray can make you lose track of time. Set limits, know when to leave, and have a support system if needed

Hahaha 😂😂, saying that a gambler's brain lights up lik a Christmas tree is really a perfect description of a gambler's reaction after they have either won or lose in a bet. If they stake and win on the first hand, they will be filled with enthusiasm to stake more, believing that the luck will run in their favor again and when they lose, they will have enough enthusiasm to stake more, believing that they will win that time. Funny how some gamblers react and fall into addiction at the end of the race.
This is why it is said that there are people that due to their genetic inheritance are more likely to become addicts, the reward system on your brain, aka dopamine, will reward you with some dopamine after a win, however in most people that reward will be on the small side and this will allow you to stop whenever you want, however for some people the reward will be so stimulant that they will keep gambling just to experiment that feeling again, regardless of the consequences this behavior may have on their finances.
Addiction is the major problem that will make anyone to continue gambling even when he is losing because he cannot control himself on when to stop gambling, maybe because he is busy chasing his losses. Another thing is when a gambler is using gambling to pass time will always continue gambling even though they are running at loss.

A gambler can also continue gambling even at loss because he is having fun and have not exceed his gambling budget, he will keep on gambling.
Yes, its always been the main common problem with gambling on which it is really that something that could entertain you but also it is a thing that could make you addicted on which if you are someone whose really that not good when it comes to handling out your emotions or something that do talks about handling or making such good decisions on various conditions then you would most likely be getting addicted with gambling and this is something that you should really be that careful because we know that once addiction would really be something that trapped into someone then it would really be that so damn hard to get out. This would really be causing up that kind of behavior on which you would really be continuing on playing no matter what until you would be busting up yourself to the floor.

Why people do continue? because they would be loving on making up some wins or would be simply trying out to recover on what they have lost on which this would really be that a common approach
by someone on which it isnt really that shocking anymore.

Only because that we have discovered its not every gambling that is playing bet is doing that for the sake of making money, some are more concerned on how they will gamble and use it as a means of being entertained and they wont mind on the cost this may incur on them as long as they are going to get satisfied with what they want, all of us cannot because of loosing stop gambling, we are not gambling to earn money, instead for fun.
That is right, But I think we should stop gambling at some point especially when the amount of loss increases as well as when gambling starts to transform from habit to addiction. Because if this is the case, instead of having fun, it will make our life more miserable. I am not going to disagree with you that not all kinds of gamblers are doing gambling for only fun but it is also true that there is a large number of gamblers who can't control their self do gambling for the greed as well as when if they are addicted then they have this cause for the go ahead with gambling even still have loss.

I think there are two reasons why a gambler continues his gambling even after losing. One is that they consider gambling a part of entertainment. I have seen some of the sports bettors who are more inclined to bet during the sports betting period. They enjoy their time. They take the risk even knowing that there is a risk in the bet. Another one of the reasons is that they continue gambling with the intention of getting big winnings from gambling. They feel that if they pull out of their efforts, they will fail to fulfill their dreams. As long as their gambling continues, they will be able to keep that dream alive.

Of a truth, some people gamble because of the fun they drive from gambling and not necessarily because of the money they lose or win but that's not the only reason why some people still come back to gambling even after losing a lot of money. Some people do come back to gambling after losing a lot of money because of the the fact that they're addicted to gambling. Gambling addiction is one of the worst things that can ever happen to any individual because it'll force anyone that's addicted to continue gambling even after losing games. So to avoid going back to gambling even after losing, every gambler is advised to gamble responsibly.

I am only going to post based on my own experience. I do lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more because I am hoping to double or increase my gambling capital. It's like I feel weak when I can't gamble to recover my losses. When I have nothing to do and remember my losses, I usually end up gambling again because of that. Maybe it's also to pass the time. Eventhough I really want to stop gambling, I can't control myself into gambling because of my losses, hoping to get a profit quickly and recovery my losses.
Many of us that are gamblers are having the same problem and if things are not settled it could lead to a bigger problem later. Sometimes we keep betting without even the opportunity for us to make money. We just base on luck for us to make money from betting which is a good move for us if we want to make money from betting space. There was a time I always became an addicted gambler but I was able to understand my doom which trigger me to act fast and stop anything that could increase such a urge. It is very important for us to always try and balance things so we don't end up playing games and still losing especially when we use our hard earned money

I haven't heard that before, but the explanation you gave is the truth. There are some gamblers who can just walk away the moment they have won a large amount or the moment they lose all their budget. Although it's difficult to just leave, some people have a strong self discipline to obey their decisions at any time.

This parable made me really laugh Cheesy, and I believe that it really happens when someone manages to win big at the beginning of his involvement in gambling, when a beginner manages to win big at the beginning of his involvement then yes maybe we can say that their brain is burning like a Christmas tree and when they lose then maybe I would also say that their head is smoking like it is on fire Cheesy

Another thing is that yes it is true as you said which means that when a gambler especially a beginner manages to win then it is a very pleasant situation for him which makes them very enthusiastic and think of continuing the session by betting a bigger amount, And I will say that when someone is too obsessed with the name of victory along with showing a very enthusiastic response then obviously consciousness will decrease in him and this is what makes them feel confident to continue with a much greater amount of risk because they think that it is a good opportunity to take advantage of, and yes in the end they can only regret it because it turns out that the results are not as expected because luck is no longer there.
