This should be personal as 80% of world populations are not gamblers. I think we should also look at this from habits angle, many people are addicted to gambling, they cannot do without gambling and if they tried to break that habits the subconscious mind will force them back! Therefore, they must gamble. Another thing that makes us to gamble even when we know that gambling is very risky is greed and desire to make fast money.

the reason of why we need to gamble is different for every people. some people want to win money from gambling and the other only want to enjoy the games although they still spend the money to play. but for me, I am gambling to having fun with my friend and sometimes I deposit my money to still enjoy the game. so far, I think I really get the fun in the game.

It looks like you didn't understand what OP said in his post. He never said that you can double your money in gambling but he is trying to say that some people gamble for fun and some for money.

If you want to double your money then you should invest in some good products instead of gambling. If you gamble either you may double or you may lose all your money quite fast so choose which one you want to do.

We do not need to gamble mate that is your choice and now you are addicted in gambling i think you gamble to fulfill your happiness because i am sure you always entertain while you are playing you forget all things specially your problem in life.

For me since you already have own family much better to focus in your partner and to your kids, gambling can not help make your life to be better, there are some instances that one family ruined their life because one of the family member was addicted in gambling they lost all their assets which is not good for one stable family.

That was good but dont gamble regularly to avoid addiction, some players says that they want to play once but when they get profit that is the time they will continue to gamble because they will entertain while earning some money but later on they already addicted they do not notice their money are loosing little by little.

In my case, I gamble only to relieve my stress from work. You know when you did a lot of paperworks with a lot of pressure from your boss. I tend to go somewhere I could gamble to forget all the stress I had from that day and maybe I could be lucky to bring home additional profit or could totally lose all I have in my wallet. But its way more different when your looking to gamble everytime thats a certain kind of addiction. Yes, gambling is very addictive , but its all up to a person if he/she can control the urge to gamble. But for me as a grown man and I already have a family as well, I dont think gamble can help us everytime.

If you `need` to gamble then you are addicted gambler. Who `need` to gamble should reconsider life priorities and try to see where that kind of `need` is heading. If you `need` to gamble then you should try to quit that and find something else to do on your own, if you can`t do it alone seek for some professional help. Gambling should be fun, and not to make you problems. In few words gamble for fun and everything will be ok, gamble in need and you are in trouble just you don`t know it yet.

Its not mandatory so you dont need to gamble if you dont want to. Your father exposed you in gambling and thats how you started, but its our decision if you will continue or not. For me theres nothing wrong if you gamble as long as you know your limitation and you can control yourself when you gamble.

If thats how you grow up then its one of the main factor why you are gambling. In my case sometimes I play card games and lottery, sometimes sports betting but that is just casual gambling, to spice up some fun when there are gatherings.
To put it in the big picture, gambling doesnt only applied for gambling games or casino, sometimes its our way of saying "Yes to life". When you are starting a business then its a gamble, when having some trasactions that we know that is risky its a gamble, buying a new coin in the market its a gamble. If we dont gamble do you think that we can have or we will reach this point>?
Life is an unknown road and thats why, we dont even know what will happen tomorrow, although some of us are working 24/7 @ work the ycant guanrantee that they will be a live tomorrow, everydays is a big mystery and sometimes we just have a dicision like "Oww, lets see what will happen, whatever may happen, will happen". And thats not bad at all.
Win or lose it doenst matter (as for everyday living, not in casinos), because this dice of what we call life is rolling, sometimes the best thing happens when we hit that jackpot. And thats a good feeling.

Most people gamble because they like shortcuts. Have you ever asked yourself why when there's a speed limit people choose to ignore it and race risking fines and sometimes their lives? Or why when there's a nice paved road people choose to make their own paths across through mud and dirt just to get to their destination a few seconds faster?

Well, what you have said is a kind of a reality. I also agree that our life is full of situation that we gamble the result because we really don't know the outcome and that all is just a matter of decission making. So why we need to gamble? then maybe because we want a good profit but we have no assurance if it is perfectly done according to our plan, and maybe sometimes we just want to escape from boredom or seeking fun.
