A. Science has not shown god exists. Again, that's your opinion.

B. Science eventually did make the A-bomb work, but its never changed lead into gold.

 Cool

See Scientific proof that God exists? - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/scientific-proof-that-god-exists-737322 - in detail to see how science proves that God exists. It might be your opinion that the thread doesn't scientifically prove that God exists.

Before science made the A-bomb work, the A-bomb attempts included science. Atomic fission can change lead into gold - https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/fact-or-fiction-lead-can-be-turned-into-gold/.

Without God there would be no science... or anything else, for that matter.

Without engineering, science would have died out long ago.

Cool

A. Whose version of god? Yours? How are you certain your god is the "real god"? Seems a bit pompous.

B. Yet both still exist and the evolution of knowledge could not have proceeded in any other way.

 Cool

The version of God that nature and the universe shows. Without a lot of thought, nature isn't clear about anything other than the power and knowledge of God. See Scientific proof that God exists? - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/scientific-proof-that-god-exists-737322.

Most of today's scientists wouldn't call even alchemy science... much less simple investigation and discovery.

Cool

A. That's your opinion of what "god" entails. Its not based in anything other than your opinion.

B. Alchemy isn't a science because you can't turn lead into gold.

 Cool

No, that's your opinion of what "god" doesn't entail. Science shows that God exists. Politics allows people to not accept anything that they don't want to accept, including science, if they don't want it.

There was a time that the science of nuclear fission didn't make the A-bomb work, because it was faulty. That didn't make it not a science.

^^^ This is where religion steps in. Science isn't close to answering things like these.

Cool

Religion does a worse job of explaining things than science.

If religion is the answer, _which_ religion is it? There's hundreds or even thousands of incompatible religions out there. To believe that your religion is the correct one and all the others are wrong is sheer arrogance. It's more likely that they are all wrong.

Much of science theory is a made up story, just like religion often seems. Science fact doesn't explain much of anything.

Cool

Technology runs on science. If it wasn't correct, we wouldn't have things like the internet, planes, refrigerators, or even a printing press to make new bibles. The last thing science is is "a made up story." The scientific method prevents this from happening.

Wrong!

Technology runs on engineering. Science might have some ideas, but most of the time the engineers have to correct the science ideas to make them work.

Cool

C'mon you cannot be that uneducated.  Without science, there would be no engineering.

What do (ALL) engineers study first, before they study engineering?  Physics, Chemistry, and Math!!!!

Trust me, I know a thing or two about engineering.

Without science, there would be no transistors, no computer chips, no Internet and no bitcoin forum.

Science made it all happen, not your God with his detailed instructions on who to fuck, who to enslave and who to kill.

The question of why do the cosmos exist could be expanded to "why does anything exist at all?" I think we take for granted that it just does and reality does not need an explanation in order to keep doing its thing.

For instance, life struggles to survive because death is the end of consciousness, or the nothing.

Really life struggles to survive only because that's a primary feature of evolution, and a product of that is the fear of death. If things weren't afraid to die, their genes would be removed from the gene pool pretty quick.

Who or what would want nothing over something? So there you have it.

If given a choice between a suffering existence and nothing, I would choose nothing.

Eternal life in hell for example would definitely not be preferred over nothingness.

This is a pretty deep question to ask lol my guess is to give us perspective on what life really is and what it could be.

Everything exists because the opposite is not existing or nothing. Which is completely alien and unknown to us things that do exist. For instance, life struggles to survive because death is the end of consciousness, or the nothing. Reality is probably the same way, things exist because not existing just sucks. Who or what would want nothing over something? So there you have it.

^^^ How do you know space is a void. Aether theory says that it is a flowing, elastic solid. The ripples and eddies within the aether solid are the things that become our electrons, protons, neutrons, photons, etc.

On this question There is no answer as and on many other! The theme of the creation of the world, the Universe, planets, stars remained, remains and will remain a mystery.
Whatever minds put forward the theory of the creation of the world-it's just a theory and how it was actually unknown to anyone.
Space is just a Void.. The emptiness is endless - it does not fit in my head... The dimensions of this void are Endless... Just endless, you can not fly and fly to some wall - and what next? again infinity... Space is a Mystery and it is the most interesting question for everyone.

God: "Your life is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of the Matrix. You are the eventuality of an anomaly, which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to eliminate from what is otherwise a harmony of mathematical precision. While it remains a burden assiduously avoided, it is not unexpected, and thus not beyond a measure of control, which has led you, inexorably, here."

Me: "Well, I guess I'll just stay here then, Womp Womp!"
