Elon has huge fund and so he can manipulate any coin! but he choice doge! Cause doge was billion of supply, it was very cheap by its price, no one ever try to do such influence with it even the main point is, it has its own blockchain and has others quality that btc own. So he choice such coin to buy as a whale and then start game by manipulating it and continue to gathering more fund for himself
I don't know what makes Elon interested in dogecoin but I think because of the history or maybe because of his friends introduce doge but I'm sure he already invested a lot of money in dogecoin because he always tweeted it, trying to manipulating dogecoin price.
Elon Musk likes Dogecoin just because it can manipulate the price, nothing more, because Dogecoin doesn't have a use case like other coins so there isn't much that Elon Musk can rely on in this case because the first thing he can do is manipulate the price, that is. 
I think Elonmusk doesn't really like it and just makes it a game, I think the most important thing here is about btc and his interest in it, in the long run musk will definitely come back to side with BTC and pay attention to it.

After tesla and spaceX success, elon found the crypto market which has bullions of dollar market cap. that's why elon target crypto market for an entry! But probably he didn’t want to announce for it directly. That's why he choose a top currency with cheap price with also having funny name like doge! Besides it also have funny logo, where others haven’t. Then he started trolling and let people know that, he is in. And thus he manipulate market when he get chance for it
We never really know what Elon's intentions and goals are, maybe Elon has made a big investment in Dogecoin, or maybe Elon just thinks it's a joke, for sure Elon has disappointed a lot of people for his inconsistent actions.

I think he doesn't love Doge. Although he tweeted Dogecoin, doesn't mean he loves or invests in Dogecoin. What he did is just to know people's responses to his tweets. He probably only wants to know how big the impact of the tweets is. Since it looks like to gain big attention from people around the world, then he tried to do almost the sam scheme on another crypto, Bitcoin. You can see that he ever tried to make hype on Bitcoin after successfully make hype on Dogecoin.

He already made a lot of money shilling DOGE, the money he made, he can use it for his business or invest it in bitcoin, so whatever happen to bitcoin, he will not lose anything as his investment is coming from the profit of shilling DOGE, it's an easy money for him, and that's how smart he is.

Recently he once again mentioned baby doge, but the time the market isn't affected much by his tweet. It is all about the panic that gets created relative to his words. Maybe tomorrow he can make a statement on a coin without much of volume.

Do you trust his statement? I can understand if he is holding Bitcoin and Ethereum but not for holding Doge. Elon Musk isn't someone who wants to take a risk of his money by investing in Dogecoin. He should know very well that Dogecoin has nothing to survive a long time in crypto market. Even its price cannot increase if no Doge tweets are made by Elon Musk. Although he really has Doge, it may be several months ago, before he pumped Dogecoin.

Elon Musk is not popular again and better left him with any tweet with doge coin price, I think enough he manipulated doge coin price and make you as way for trying price, I think so far Elon Musk always make you the victim buy on higher price then should sell with lower price, left him and check with other coin to buy and better never try with doge coin for investing.
