The low market cap (before Elon started shilling it, the valuation stood at $6 billion), unique ownership structure (top 100 users own 70% of all the circulating Doge) and the fact that Doge can be easily manipulated (because it is listed in a limited number of exchanges) might have caught the attention of Elon. His intention is not to contribute anything positive to the cryptocurrency sector. Similar to Mark Zuckerberg, he just want to use cryptocurrency for his own benefit (to get profit, and to generate hype for Tesla).

Elon Musk is creating his influence in crypto right now, so there are some steps he is taking, to get into the BTC and ETH system is very unlikely for him, let alone affect BTC and ETH itself, the only opportunity available is in Dogecoin at the moment to create its influence.
Elon Musk has his reasons for doing things, the level of influence in the crypto world is what he's aiming for, it's in line with what he's doing. I've heard this once, If we have become millionaires, but there is no influence whatsoever in the crypto world, it will be considered unsuccessful. This is related to the advantages and benefits that Elon got first when he made his followers on social media buy Dogecoin. and at that time I'm sure Elon already sold it because he must have bought it when he hadn't done anything to dogecoin.
One of the things that Elon chose was the huge market community of Dogecoin. but why is it cheap? he saw this potential in dogecoin and tried to create hype. he's made it.

I saw Dogecoin having a huge price hike when Elon tweeted, The real fight is between fiat & crypto. After considering it, I support the latter. Musk has previously compared bitcoin to other coins and has frequently tweeted about cryptocurrencies, causing bitcoin and dogecoin to fluctuate in value. This is what causes Dogecoin to go higher, it's just that we are waiting on which Altcoin Elon will provide support. I don't know for sure the real reason why support Dogecoin.
the only thing was Elon must tweeting negatively about Bitcoin, that was what was also contributing to the price dump of Bitcoin at the time but not that he promoted Dogecoin over Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a force on its own tweets from Elon must and people like him can only shift the market a bit but not affect Bitcoin negatively in the long term.

I believe, Elon's initial tweets towards doge is more like a game to him, nothing serious.
And he saw the interest of the community, and that's why he started to be serious about it.
Yep, I also think the same as you. Previously, he is likely just trying to tweet about Doge without any intent (purpose). But he saw great attention from crypto enthusiasts and crypto market as well. So, he continued it till today. However, this is cannot be a strong fundamental to be the future of Dogecoin. When Elon Musk is no longer interested to tweet about Dogecoin, then no sign for Doge value to increase more. Also, the power of Elon's tweet seems weaker and weaker, it is not a good sign for holding Doge a long time.And he saw the interest of the community, and that's why he started to be serious about it.

elon promoting dogecoin is not good even if it is a cryptocurrency it makes Bitcoin look bad because instead of promoting a legitimate currency like Bitcoin he choose to pick a meme coin which has now branded Bitcoin as a joke.
Elon musk sees it from a different point of view, the question is, why did elon musk choose dogecoin over bitcoin.? Of course Elon Musk can get multiple profit from Dogecoin, because as a big businessman, musk has calculated the benefits that can be obtained from dogecoin. The calculation is like this, if musk buys BTC and DOGECOIN at the same time for $1000, 1 BTC = $1000 and 1 Doge = $0.02, after that Btc and doge both experienced an increase of 10%, so for this reason musk is more interested in boosting the prestige of DOGE than BTC. ~snip~ we'll see what will happen happened to Dego in the next few years.

I just doubt if Elon Musk only takes advantage of Dogecoin, he seems not really serious to support Dogecoin for a long time. How if he forgets to make a tweet about Dogecoin in the next few years? In my opinion, I don't see a strong reason for Elon Elon Musk to support Dogecoin. If he tweets about Dogecoin nowadays, he may take advantage of the situation that people take attention to him because his tweets look unusual. He will stop it any time once he realizes it has no effect anymore.

Elon musk is a big holder of bitcoin already I don't know if he invested on Ethereum but for the fact that he's putting interest and taking doge to the moon got me confuse.They is no way he'll do such hype he did without getting commissions from the team or its just his own way of strategising the market, Elon is a top influencer and can spike a fall or rise of price in market
Elon Musk interested to support Dogecoin because they know there are many investors who have invested those two top coins in the market. By his influence and through his wealth he can do whatever he want because he is capable of doing anything especially in this decentralized market.
It's possible that Elon has big plans for the coin for the development of his business, with Elon's entry into Crypto certainly having a strong enough impact when he makes a statment so that the possibility of Elon entering Doge will also have a big breakthrough in it, we'll see what will happen happened to Dego in the next few years.

It's caused by he was an agenda for doge coin. Remember that elon was mentioning on his tweet if he needs a crypto that can be used in mars and doge coin is including on his project.
he was also buying lots of doge coins and you must see that there are some addresses that owned more than 50% of total supply.
Elon will not buy something if that will not be really useful for him. The communities have been talking about this since at the end of last year.
Lol how do some addresses own more than 50% of the coin. I mean doesn't math tell you only one address could ever own more than 50% of anything. If you mean some addresses combine to own 50% of the coin those are just exchange addresses. It's a shame but most new people enjoy leaving their crypto on exchanges and use them as a wallet...the pain they will eventually see by that decision will hurt. Hard lessons will be learned.
we never know why Elon Musk was interested in Dogecoin, maybe he was just joking, or maybe Elon did invest huge sums in Dogecoin, and used his fame to raise Dogecoin for his own profit, but for sure, Elon has disappointed many people because he was considered very inconsistent.
if only investing maybe Elon Musk should choose ETH or BTC at once which has great value. besides that elon musk has big money in his account. maybe it's obvious that doge and elon musk have a pact to create hype and have managed to make a splash in crypto this year.only EM knows the reason. we can only guess, I don't know, maybe EM is just doing this for fun, or testing its influence in the crypto world, or indeed there is a special collaboration with doge. What is clear is that his tweets had a big impact, many followed him and made a profit, but many also lost because of panic buys and fomo. I'm not interested in following trends like that, I'm not comfortable, it's better to do independent analysis.
