I think the main reason for the ban is the decentralization mechanism of cryptocurrencies. Since most countries' economies are controlled by the government, cryptocurrencies will make them lose such control!

I hope other governments who afraid from decentralization do the same specially china .
The government stated that having a virtual currency is very risky and full of speculation because there is no responsible authority and no official administrator. and Bitcoin is also a decentralized currency making it difficult for the government to generate taxes from transactions made by Bitcoin.

I think the main reason for banning crypto-currency is decentralization. The government does not like technology that can not be regulated.

I think because government has lack of brains LOL. To be honest I think the reason of banning it, they are scared of financial pyramid's which will then lead to financial crisis and financial collapse, they don't get money from taxes and the main reason they can't control it, as there is no institutions and staff like that which is not regulated by the government. Basically they don't let the people be involved in it, as there is a risk! If people invest all their money, they might lose house/car/job and it will be an effect of domino, which will lead to the total chaos of people not paying their credits, houses/cars and ect will be flooded on sale and the prices on properties and ect will collapse letting inflation to slow down. Governments like control. That's what keeps them in demand. Crypto will take away their role in deciding the economy. They will no longer be in control of the major policies and thus their importance will decline.
They keep trying to bring in regulations and summon crypto investors from time to time but nothing is going to work as long as the market keeps growing. We just need to keep our faith high if we believe in the future.

the government are afraid that through cryptocurrency, its gonna collapse the economy of the nation if crypto is widely used, as they declared. but for me. the government doesnt need to be involve in economy and instead they should govern only the people
The massive spread of cryptocurrencies will cause the government to lose control of the economy. But this is not a bad thing. When the government leaves the economy, perhaps the world will be more peaceful.

Because they can not control money, and all transactions, address is public. They can not do anything corruption anymore, civilians can track wallet address.
They do not like cryptocurrencies because they have long forgotten about honesty, the government is a complex system of schemes to enrich a small ruling group, and such technology as blockchain with full transparency of relations between people does not like those people who have something to hide from other people. If the system of state administration is transferred to distributed registers,there will be no room for corruption,which has been flourishing for a long time. The world is ruled by several people and these people will never allow anyone to break this system.
I completely agree with this yes most of the government are ruled by business tycoons and they play like a doll. If this technology is benefitting to them then they will force the government to bring this technology. If not they will spread false statements like it is a thread and this will surely end up to losing money.

The government hates cryptocurrency because they cannot regulate or tax it!!
With cryptocurrency it can be untraceable if you choose to be. It can be as traceable as you wish. Or If for some reason you want to be taxed every year and pay for owning you can be. I am not sure why you would want to but do as you wish lol.

In my opinion, not the government does not like Crypto, but because they can not manage Crypto, they do not support Crypto. In the future, when managed and taxed by the crypto market, the government will take measures to promote Crypto.
