Your thread title does not really speak to the content of your thread. You should have called it something like, "How to teach older people to use Bitcoin"  

In my experience, most older people think that they are too old to learn new things... when it comes to everything to do with computers, they just put a "block" on their own abilities, by saying things like " I am too old for these new technologies" or "Computers are for the younger generation."

There are a few exceptions and I take my hat off for those people.   Older people filter new things, based on their absolute needs... if they do not need it, they just chuck it. My mother wanted to talk to her grand children on a regular basis, but the calls was too expensive for her (we pay for it, but she says it is too expensive) ...so we showed her how to WhatsApp and we told her that the voice notes are virtually free... now she is bombarding the kids with voice notes.

                                                   Moral of the story... if they need it, they will do it.

I knew a lot of people who become successful in manipulating bitcoin as their assets. For me, I'm okay with my investment and I'm inspired by them so everytime I think of their success, I really work hard with full effort and think of positive things. Learning is free and you should keep on learning things that you want to experience, you just need to have a positive mindset towards your objectives so that you will not have a hard time reaching your goal. Bitcoin is really good if you invest to it, as it really requires proper manipulation and good control depending on the market. Learning bitcoin is extraordinary and you're lucky enough if you engage with bitcoin because not all of us are given a chance to experience earning profit from a cryptocurrency.

That is why we must be ready in any circumstances mate,either we lose or not what is important that we can still hold our Currency,never get panic and never be a greed.
there will be a right time to profit,always remember that.


We will achieve everything in future,but now support Bitcoin and altcoins,and wait for the right timing because not everyday is a falling same as growing.

Learn about what Blockchain is all about mate because this is the roots why Cryptocurrencies are now at works and in progress.

But indeed this is the future,specially about financial freedom and using,Bitcoin and other altcoins will be our Currency that available everywhere in future.

We said that when we reached the ATH, when the price was stagnant and now again that the time is not rising too much and we are in quarantine.

What do you mean by [fundamental knowledge] required to invite others? I think it's necessary to know that bitcoin function like any other app and we don't have to understand the code behind it. I want to say that you don't have to be a coder or programmer to be able to use bitcoin or to understand its usefulness.

The most important part IMO is to simply explain that bitcoin can be considered as a currency (cryptographic one) and as a paiement system as well; a conbination of two systems. This may help old people who belong to old era to start adopting the concept as something simple and ordinary to use by everybody, reminding them on how they adopted new paiement methods like ATMs and PayPal which are both a paiement system using FIAT as their currencies .

Well, it is an interesting discussion about the use of Bitcoin and other cryptos for payment transactions. We all have known that currently, the online payment have been rising, moreover because of the pandemic. It is done in order to decrease the ways of spreading the virus. by online payment, we can limit our movement and activities for touching something. In this case, the OP concerns is about the Bitcoin. Well, such interesting and personally I also feel the same, will be great enough to use Bitcoin and other cryptos for some kinds of payment method and transactions. However, before going to have it, there are some notes as the followings

If you are talking about 60 YO people and more, I think it is better to let their children or families to do the online payment. Well, in some countries, online payment may have been usual and common enough. For 60/moreYO people, they are probably usual to use online banking and other online payment methods for transactions. But, for some other countries, they cannot, they are really not usual using this, they will prefer to use the fiats for payment. Moreover about Bitcoin, I don't think that it will be effective for them.
However, if it is about for the people under 50YO, I am sure that it is still effective and may work well for them to learn about online payment, especially about Bitcoin or other cryptos. (note: it doesn't mean that I underestimate 60/more YO, but I see the reality, it may be the most.)

Second, if we are going to introduce the people about using Bitcoin, we should ensure that it is available to use that digital currency for payment methods in your country. How can we teach someone with something not exist in the area around us? For example, I live in a country where the Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are only legalized as digital assets, but not for the payment. It must be noted. It means that this expectation cannot be implemented in all countries, especially like what happens in my countries, it will never be effective to introduce the BTC for payment because it will not be used there. However, if it is for the countries that already use BTC for payment, I think we only need to spread the positive news and issues to them, teaching them by acting, they will see what you do and what you get. And when they think it is effective and easy enough, they will be interested in learning about it.

If it is about introducing them to use BTC as another way of investment or earning money, it may happen in almost all countries that support or legalize crypto. In this case, you may not tell them only about the profits, high expectations to be rich, and others. It is better to tell them the exact facts, about the profits and also risks.

We don't have to have deep understanding of how something works to be able to use it.

You don't know how many of your home appliances work and you use them every day because you know the effects they produce. You press a button and something happens.

I don't agree that we have to educate the world about Bitcoin. It's enough to let them know it exists and what it can bring to the table.

I agree! We need to educate ourselves and teach people what is Bitcoin? and how to use it? Today there are App that are simplifying the way we handle Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, our Crypto Mobile wallet, and everyone has their favorite. There are also debit cards filled with crypro, I think that soon there will be credit cards.

Learning Bitcoin after joining the race should be encourage, this is the means whereby newborns can actually understand the chemistry that surround the bitcoin protocols. Can still remember back in those days, I learned different things about Bitcoin before venturing into it world. During my stays with bitcoin I never encounter anything difficult due to me early learning into bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. There's gain in learning new technology like Bitcoin and others.

I like learning and using bitcoin because bitcoin is the currency that can help me get rich fastest. Investing right when the price of bitcoin goes up, you will get very high profits without any profession. If you want to do business without loss, you must have knowledge So I studied bitcoin very carefully before investing money. And I sell, buy depending on the period.

You don't have to be a tech savvy person to be able to use bitcoin.
I believe anyone who can use a credit card to pay online would be able to pay with bitcoins too. You don't need to know how things work under the hood.
The problem with cryptos is that you are the only one responsible for securing your funds. There is no third party to take care of it.
Also, many tutos and guides overcomplicate things which makes eldies more reluctant to use bitcoin.

After reading your writing, I can conclude that there are doubts about the function of bitcoin as a currency, which raises one question "whether bitcoin is a financial innovation suitable for all ages?".

The answer to that question might lead to one thing that is lacking from bitcoin itself because in my opinion age is an important factor as a bridge to connect old innovations to new innovations. While I am just convinced that we do not need to offer an understanding of bitcoin transactions to people aged 60 years and over, especially to the lay community. Its the same as you trying to knock down a wall with your bare hands. Really bitcoin is a financial innovation suitable for a productive age in my logic.

Learning is never ending and everday will always be a learning experience especially in crypto currency wherein expectations is inevitable whether good or bad. As new to this industry, always do your own research because if anything goes wrong, yourself will always be accountable in any decisions you make. Investing in bitcoin is always not a financial advice and always invest what you can afford to lose. Believing in Bitcoin will always be a good start of adopting for future financial freedom and a long-term investments.

Using and investing in bitcoin can really give us the brighter future if we know how to manipulate it properly. The only thing that can make us down is the market, so if you really want to career the holding of bitcoin, you should know how to deal with the market. You need to adjust and adapt depending on the prices of bitcoin in the market as we know that it is volatile and have no stable price. Sometimes we really need to become more prepared and have plans in order to become effective in using bitcoin in many aspects. It made me really save money for myself and for my future errands, this make me more comfortable financially.

Very well said, bitcoin gives us a big help, there are many things that this bitcoin gives to us and that is why many people are still using it. Bitcoin is very well known in the very country those counties that use bitcoin would be really benefited in the future, as of now bitcoin is really helpful what more in the future, maybe one-day bitcoin could be a standard currency all over the world but I think that would take so much time, it needs advanced technology and knowledge for every people. On my own experienced it really helps me with my finances, it helps me to buy my needs and wants so blessed that I tried this kind of cryptocurrency.

Knowledge is important but we also should not forget wisdom, we should be wise about what we learn and reflect, we should be wise anout the weaknesses of bitcoin, we also should accept the fact that we cannot know anything about bitcoin and that we should be open to new ideas and understand them. I agree that putting a diversity in your investment, I am an advocate of diversification so I second that advice.

Into the world of bitcoin, there are a lot of things may be considered and one of this is the knowledge this is the most essential thing we must have because it is quite hard to understand and all of the processes we need to identify what are the things we must do to make sure we are going to win all the things we do into the world of crypto. Also, I encourage other people too to make an investment not only to the bitcoin also into the world of altcoins because they have a lot of help too not just the bitcoin. Also if you want to earn more it is better to make a practice into trading and gambling investment those are the most common source of income if you want to increase your money but if you do not have enough investment it is good to use the bounties and airdrops to make as a beginners capital if you want to earn.

You need to understand crypto will always provide the best for you, that's you have the desire to learn about Bitcoin.

However, for that before you go any further into Bitcoin and if you can say it is new to start Bitcoin, individually, you should really have a good time to learn by yourself before you use Bitcoin for transactions, if so you have to treat Bitcoin well like your wallet everyday or you have to study and be more careful with the various cases that occur.
