Gambling has its way to make players think irrational, that is the reason why most of the time player who have played long hours and have established a good profit make large mistakes like betting all in on higher chances and would end up busting. I am happy for you OP that you have quit gambling and I hope not to see you in gambling sites ever. :p

Gambling isn't  that bad as it is a way to entertain yourself. But if you are addicted to it then its like drugs you will give each single penny of your to get hands on the site with bitcoins.

Gambling can be a good thing for you if regarding as entertainment only, you can really relax with it directly or it will help you to relax indirectly and to feel good afterwards. You just shouldn't abuse it. And the abusing of gambling is trying to make it the source of your income.
I do not think that there is any entertainment in gambling, if money is not involve , you can get entertainment from gambling if you will invest money, then either you are winning or losing money but it will entertain you for some time. if you are winning the best then you entertain and enjoy for a long time but if you will lose the your entertainment will over as your finish the game.

There are actually a lot of threads created by users on this topic often, that they have decided to stay away from gambling forever, but normally after a few days, I would see them playing again in dice sites, I guess it is not that easy to quit gambling as it have a certain charm that keeps us coming back to risk our money over and over again with the hopes of winning big one day Smiley
True. If people were able to stay away from gambling completely then probably we would have an industry in the of name of gambling.

I believe there would be no need of staying away from gambling completely if we are able to have control over our gambling activities like when to gamble and when to stop. If we are not frequenting to gamble then keeping the control will not be a big challenge.

Gambling is like drugs. They are created in order to make money on human weaknesses. Only units can win, but this amount will not be able to provide them for life, because the thirst for the game will require you to play again and lose money.
Rather than attraction of a game, mostly the greedy to win more plays the role of ruining a gambler's life.
Attraction toward gambling is originating from the point that gambling is mistakenly identified as a source of easy money making. Those attraction becomes addiction more quickly which are causing leaving gambling as a very difficult task.

Gambling is a bad hobby at best and a consuming online hazard at worst, of course leaving it is better particularly if you can't control yourself and end up losing money which you shouldn't have played with in the first place.
If you could leave it alone that's good, even if you need help there are allot of gambler's aid websites now.
Yeah, gambling is not a good way to maintain an individual life, it just a worthless job. Gambling was invented for the entertaining purpose but nowadays gambling has become a earning opportunity for some people. It's a totally depends on luck, if your luck doesn't support you then you have to make a decision to leave gambling at instant.

This happens in the best case scenario, but unfortunately, as I personally heard from some gambling addicts, they think about gambling even when in a retaurant, or in a movie theater, or when going to sleep. An activity should be really interesting to distract an addict from gambling.

I know now some gambling addicts that really live and breath gambling. Its like its already in their bloodstream and all they talk is gambling. I think this kind of person would have difficulty in getting out of the gambling world. I don't know what will make this guys quit for good.
Sometimes they only let you to see what you wanted to see to them but in reality you didn't know what's really happening when they are not playing gambling. Of course they have to talk about gambling because they have to prove their skill and they have to show their skills about it to their friends who played gambling.

But in the long run you never know what would happen to them if they still play gambling in their whole life. It could destroy them at the end of the day because when you gambling you will not always win and it could lose all your money if you don't know how to control yourself. Sometimes people only played gambling to release their stress or to have some fun.

That's the best thing people can do with gambling imo. Many people witness that gamble does release their stress and others say that after having fun with gambling they work more effectively. Gambling has its ups and downs, so let's user the ups.  Smiley

Although on one side I agree with you, gambling indeed makes players think irrational, I want to add that even if it wasn't the case, no rational thinking would help anyone to be winning with gambling on a daily basis.

People who thinking irrational while they're play gamble wouldn't have any self-control in their mind it would made their big mistake when having good profit or good winning. Building up your mind to own your self-control will have a lot effect to your self such like how much money you will use for gamble and know when to stop, OP chose to stop gamble suddenly and it was a great thing tho.
Maybe they have something in their mind or they are just really special because they don't know how to control themselves and be patient with their bets or something to provide better strategies and be successful in that. The factor that you are going to see is that if there would be enough money left for you to sustain and live for the rest of your days because if you can't leave it, it's going to be goodbye to you.

I don't think leaving is an answer any gambler. I believe that if you just suddenly quit there is a withdrawal syndrome that will bring you back to it again. So the best thing to do is slowly reduce the frequency that you play and then lower the amount of your bankroll every game. This will ensure you don't get withdrawal syndrome and you will still be able to enjoy yourself.

I've had good moments and bad moments in my life, but the worst moments is when I spent the entire day gambling and focusing only to winning money for this or that.
I'm tired, seriously, to win big and then fall in more deep "debt" because of greediness. I can't afford to have such experiences anymore, it makes me sad the fact that instead of saving those money I preferred to spend them on a gambling site, I was like oh ok it's just x, so If i can lose it it's ok, oh it's just a faucet, it's ok if I lose it. But when If even with the faucet I reach like 0.06 or more, and then I lose them it's still a touch to the heart, that makes you say if I start back with this amount I can magically make it 0.6, yes probably, cause I did that in the past, as my far record is been from 0.001 to 1.6 btc in 3 hours with roulette, but let's not dig that.

I prefer spending the money on what are my necessities now, than see my wallet drop in amount. Every single f*** time, every time I had the chance to buy btc, or doge whatever, I ended up expecting to win big.
EVEN if I win big, I repeat that, I waste the money afterward, because I think it's a good idea to bet bigger now if my budget supports it, and there it goes down the hole.

Why I decided to leave gambling anyway? I saw how rapidly I was going down in the past few days, and like an hot potato to keep sinking my butt on the wallet. I'm tired of that. I better move my butt and find something that used to keep me busy, like programming, I love programming. But then I got stressed and I started to gamble.

I hope you all understand. All my friends I made in these years on the gambling sites, thank you everyone for your support of my strong decision.
Thanks everyone.

Most gamblers do this same mistake and that's because they don't think they were just once lucky, but they think they know now how to win with gambling every time they play. You've made the right decision, just stick to it no matter what others say.

I respect your decision to quit and I hope many on this forum in similar situations would look for a better way out and learn from you and this thread

I respect the OP's decision to quit too. Hopefully he will stand by his word, because many gambling addicts just say the words but never actually quit. I really wish OP had serious intentions when he was writing his post and I wish he will have strength to abstain from gambling in the future.

i hope so like you because to quit from gambling is really hard and we need more power in our mind to leave gambling. once we can leave the gambling, we need to search another thing so our mind will stop thinking about gambling anymore. and if we can really quit from gambling, then we can start a new life without spend our money for playing gambling only.

True. To keep your mind busy with something else is a great idea. I think even video gaming can help some people and reading books or watching interesting movies can help others.

Diversifying attention is one of the best way to keep ourselves from gambling.  If we occupy our selves with works and keep busy, we will skip gambling and eventually forget about it.  We can also save money to repair the damage done by uncontrolled gambling and we can be able to rebuild our lost self esteem and respect once again.  It may take time but eventually all bad things that had been done will be forgotten and we will start as a new being far from being addicted to gambling.

This happens in the best case scenario, but unfortunately, as I personally heard from some gambling addicts, they think about gambling even when in a retaurant, or in a movie theater, or when going to sleep. An activity should be really interesting to distract an addict from gambling.

If you keep gamble your money, there is a chance for you keep lose and lose to recover your losses. Leave gambling could reduce your loss and you may have a great time to allocate it for useful thing like going outside or doing other works.
Yes if you realize that you are not progressing in gambling and in fact you are losing your money with wasting your time in gambling then it is better to quit gambling before time turns to bad on you. The same amount you use for gambling if utilized with a sensible approach can give you much result.

I completely agree.  If we feel that gambling does not bring any good to us then it is best to think of quittin it while we are still in control of ourselves.  We would be at a lost if we become obsessed on chasing loses and eventually turn into a gambling addict that does not consider anything but gambling.  But if gambling does offer us benefits and does not affect us negatively then there is no reason to quit it.
Yeah agree we should know by play gambling will bring us negative or positive affect like if we're gambling will make us get a trouble in economically. it's not good for us  because we can be stress without having a money sometimes we will do something bad maybe if only become addicted it's not a big problem because you only not gambling for a while and not do something bad.
