They are obviously great in many ways. ICOs primarily help in launching coins and tokens that help expand the cryptocurrency market in the right direction which is easily the biggest advantage of ICOs. They also help the developers and participants earn healthy profits in the short term and long term which is a win-win situation if the project is legit. The scam projects will always exist since money is involved here and scammers will never stop trying to scam people which is why we need to take appropriate precautions ourselves before investing into ICOs.

Not all ICOs are great, most ICOs are scams.
Most the time when ICO is done and money is collected then the developer and development also disappeared over time. Most ICO don't even have exchange to trade these days.
Personally, I think blockchain will be a trend of future development, so it is not good for the healthy development of the whole blockchain industry to define ICO as a negative image prematurely.
I do not think ico prices are very low at the very beginning. On the contrary, many projects sell only a small part of their tokens. If they are calculated in all tokens, then the funds for the project are very large. For a project that has not been successful, it is not reasonable to have such a high valuation. Think about the initial valuation of many projects in the real economy is very small.

ICO is an offer of a project or can be said that investors deliver the amount of investment, we must be good at choosing a good type of ico and potentially because it is important, learning with experienced people it will be better

ICO's is great opportunyty for people with dreams and ambitions but without money m make something great. But unfortynately not everybody realise what to do with gathered money, cause of that many ICO's are fail.
Of course ico is great for making a competition, and forming a new community that is inspired by the success of Bitcoin or Altcoin today.
But too much ico makes not all projects can be financed. And we have seen many failures. I agree that ico can give birth to a good new community for this industry. But we must also be prepared because not all ico will succeed.

I would say if investment becomes much easier and cheaper. We just need to pay attention to invest only in viable projects. the majority of investors participate in ICO because of the huge bonuses and opportunities to make profits, even during the launch into the stock, it will pump up eventually, making them take profits and attract their investment.
If a really good ico succeeds, maybe in a year can grow tens to hundreds of times.
