The currency note in your pocket has some definite value of $1 or 100 INR etc because the concerned government has agreed to pay you that respective amount so you trust that the instrument possesses the some value and thus everyone other. Bitcoin is not different, people around the world have faith in bitcoin and thus they believe that bitcoin has a certain value of $1,000 and this mutual trust is known as value.

But when people gave it a value started from one person only, others followed what he/she did too up to now both of them has high value in the whole world. For me bitcoin has value because it can be used to buy items online worry free without even risking your identity and credit card information to some stranger you don't know. Also, It has great investment opportunities where I can multiply my money easily for free I just have to be wise. Although the investment opportunity does not apply to everyone, anyone can just hold since bitcoin itself is a great investment because of volatile price.

Well, what makes bitcoin worth is 'the users', as people keep buying and trading bitcoin, limited supply of bitcoin that had been set just 21 Million and higher demand make bitcoin precious (credibility and advantages behind bitcoin technology), just like gold or diamond (scarce but very useful). If there is no one wants bitcoin anymore, itu become worthless.

yeah right they have said it wrong because bitcoin is of a high value and are giving better benefits to the investors and the users of bitcoin while those who do not know about bitcoin do not know that bitcoin is of a great benefit so they will say like that which is wrong.

Yes may be it useful for some of us that is because it is worth enough. And that is why the price is higher because of it is limited in this world, only some of them that hold huge amount of it. And why it is different with some altcoin? I am sure altcoin have this kind of thing too and they even have more step to make sure that their coin will be worth in the next few years. But why they cant become as huge as bitcoin?

i am sure that the popularity of bitcoin user will be grow than now because people want to search better investment than gold and i think with the bitcoin price now, they will thinking about using bitcoin as their investment and this will make bitcoin user is grow and in the end, the mass adoption will be happen soon.

Bitcoin has huge potential of value, and now we've been sitting on $980, who said it has no value?Bitcoin price will increase anytime when more people buy/invest in bitcoin which created bigger market cap.
Simple economics rules, supply and demand, these rules affected bitcoin too, high demand and limited supply make bitcoin price always increases.
There are so many reasons why bitcoin is worth to me or for many people:
First it's price : Most people find bitcoin worth because of it's past and also it's present price and it's return which is really good.
Anonymity : Of course you can completely call bitcoin is anonymous payment method but I does provides basic privacy like many people are scared of gambling coz of society , etc bitcoin is really has this anonymous feature which is helpful for them.
