Depends on the place to where you are. Or, if you buy in a person to person exchange be sure that it is legit or would provide something that will make him or her prove that he wont scam you. Better be careful than regretting it at the end.

I have not really bought any bitcoin in a while, i have been mostly trading this last year.  but i have been trying to buy today from localbitcoins and bittylicious and it has been a real challenge.  they want photos of me holding cards on localbitcoins and on bitty they need about 4 different forms of id, what is going on.

this is seriously restrictive to anyone wanting to get into bitcoin,  like its meant to be pseudonymous but if the gate ways into bitcoin dont allow that people will be put off.    Huh
Because getting scammed has increased and they want extra security, once you start trading and establish a real trust on the site then you will find much easier to trade. By the way the best thing is to trade cash to bitcoins with a local user.

It is highly recommended to form your won group for bitcoin related activities so that you people will manage any requirements with peace of mind.

For me its not hard to buy bitcoin. I can easily buy bitcoin on exchange , some of the exchange need verification of identity,I use an alternative way. I buy bitcoin peer to peer. Cause it is another way of buyung bitcoins.
your alternative way is indeed a simple one but i do prefer the security above all factors so if i were i will choose to verify my accounts on some exchangers and then buy bitcoin rather than risky money on peer to peer transaction and honestly, the exchanger which i was used for a long time require that thing
Yes, sometimes it would be better to submit our documents to a reputed exchange services than meeting a person in public place for the purpose of buying/selling bitcoins. Personally, I have not found buying bitcoins is too hard as we are already having lot of options for that, one good and easy way must be buying bitcoins from our forum members.

Actually all these recruitment are only for security for everyone .
And i am sure everyone has more than four I'd .
Secondly to buy and sell bitcoin at the localbitcoins is a very easy work and trusted and no one can scam .

Me, I have no hard time buying with bitcoin, it's easy in my local exchange I just need to order and then pay on the outlet they required. The rate is bigger compared in localbitcoins but I want a safe and fast transaction so I am willing to pay for the fee.

We are the same  i have  no  problem  or any hassle regarding  on  purchasing  bitcoin  here  in  my place because  you could directly pay them on the   forms  of  banks which  is  really  a  great convenience  for me  unlike on other countries  if  they do  have  the same service  .  lucalbitcoins and  other  exchanges  would  surely  impose  strict rules to  prevent frauds.

If you use USD and want Yen you don't necessarily have to exchange them. You can start working for Yen. It's the same with bitcoins. You don't have to buy them you can just start services to earn them. I like it better because then you don't have to give out your ID to some online company!
That's an extremely limited niche, though.  It's like selling stuff for bitcoin--your market is very small.  It's better to earn fiat and buy bitcoin.  And fiat is more stable.  Would you really want your paycheck in bitcoin?

Actually there is now an option to get your paycheck paid in bitcoin! And you don't even really need to get your employer to agree to do so.

You could look up bitwage to see what I am talking about. Apparently you can even set a percentage of your paycheck to be paid to your bitwallet.

I am looking forward to try it out myself once i get proper employment. Beats having to buy it and worry about whether you're getting it or not.

Bitcoin is not meant to hide your money away and if you really want to invest some money into bitcoin why should you worry over providing your identification ,exchanges must make sure that they dont fall into legal issues if there is any sort of investigation regarding any client and so is the reason KYC is mandatory

Are you trying to buy with Paypal? If that is the case forget about it they will ask all kind of stuff out of you, in a way I understand them since they are taking a risk but at the same time who will want to go through that process.

Depending on what website you're going to be using, depending on what country it is located in, chances are there are some laws that require the website to note who uses the site and exchanges money on there, for things like money laundering or whatever. They have to avoid those things.

There are certainly some rules that needs to be followed like showing id or proof in order to prove your are genuine and right person to deal with. Some of them are scammers and in order to avoid such they might ask for the details. Same is the case with exchanges as well who require your proof.
Yes and mostly such ID proofs are asked from people that want to buy bitcoins with paypal or such currencies so its pretty obvious and necessarry. Also added to this, why you have issues providing your ID when you know you are not a scammer  Roll Eyes you can cover your face maybe while taking photographs.

Yes it is aimed at the security and authenticity of your account. The identity will be safe and will not be disseminated. It's their rules and maybe you try to follow because it's not too hard in my opinion. Destination has such good and to prevent account theft and misuse of the account.
I am using local bitcoins and till to date today I have never been asked such proofs either by LBC or any user whom I have traded with. The best happened was when I met a user in other city for a big dealing (I was buying BTC) and he wanted to see me face to face before dealing such big, it was obvious and I met him, simple.

I can easily buy Bitcoins through exchangers. I never had any problems with it. You probably just bad service chosen. Find another
We all have different situations mate in every country and place. Where I live there are no local traders while a friend of mine living in other established city has a lot of users who give BTC for cash, so I have some understanding with him under which I get BTC easily but not all have such dealings.

I never experience the hard time to buy bitcoin, maybe you choose the
wrong exchange. You may find other local stores that accepts bitcoins.
Here in my country is easy to buy bitcoin, within minutes direct to
your wallet which is coins.ph apps.

Buy Bitcoins in other places if you don't like what's going on on those particular ones. You said you've been trading this year, so why can't you buy Bitcoins where you were trading? Also I think you can find here on this forum people from a place near you or who are using same currency at least and buy BTC from them.
trading is not always trading altcoin, you can also trading any currencies such as japanese yuan,US dollar, and any currencies,i guess when you're asking such question as "so why can't you buy Bitcoins where you were trading?" you're only considering altcoin coin trading while there's so many option you can choose for trading
That's possible but we are in the crypto world so it's just right to patronize our own currency, we have to support it as if we do that it will also give us some kind of benefits. Trading with this currency is already one of the privilege we can get and if we are successful we will surely enjoy more profits.
