Whenever a government announces to regulate bitcoin or cryptocurrency or whenever BTC price is in downfall, most of the media start to warn everyone not purchase or invest in Bitcoins.
https://www.bitex.in/a-class-of-indian-media-unnecessarily-damaging-bitcoin-reputation/

What is the reason for doing this? Do they intentionally do this so that even they can invest in Bitcoin and make some profit?

It is funny that would drag the price down because regulation is a good thing in the end and in my opinion should bring the price up and bring legitimacy to the industry. Perhaps they manipulate the markets for themselves or for superior parties but I would argue the mass media is just generally ignorant when it comes to Bitcoin. That and they want to have stories that pop so they may put it in a context that is different to reality in order to get view and likes. Kinda sad, but that is the reality of the world. Take every major media outlet Bitcoin article with a grain of salt, perhaps take it with a table full of salt instead Tongue.

The most biggest media platforms around the world are supported or directed by governments, and we all know that most governments still fighting Bitcoin and crypto currencies right now. Even the private media platforms are owned usually by big businessmen which prefer banking systems and fiat currencies, and don't like BTC.

Such a factor as the media can greatly influence the market of the crypto currency and the value of a certain coin. It can be assumed that some media - can do this specifically for monetary compensation from influential people.

I thinks it is two different thing  about media reporting what the government’s decision and opinion on bitcoin. It is their job to report and deliver to the publicc what the government has decided and has said about it but for media alone to make  statements and give their opinion on the matter, it is wrong. It is agains media ethics in doing it. Media supposed to be nuetral in broadcasting and not give their opinion just like that.

some media report the bitcoin is not true but some people believe the bitcoin is real the media didnt see the existing of bitcoin .
Yes you are right not all media is against bitcoin just like the simple some people love bitcoin and some really hate it so we can’t say bitcoin as bad because of a few hater. People love bitcoin because they are aware of bitcoin benefits and they invest in bitcoin to have better and bright future, social media is not against bitcoin because I recently saw Facebook promoting bitcoin in many groups and pages.

In my opinion, there is a deep reason for that, and I think it has something to do with the big  businessmen out there, this is just me, but I think crypto currency is gonna turn the world of these people around, its gonna affect their business in great way negatively, and the government is gonna be affected greatly as well. Some are even saying that these businessmen are actually holding the government in their hands.

It's very simple, the media will only report malicious reports, they don't have bitcoin, they can't see that we bought bitcoin and made money, and the news in the media is mostly eyeball.

Correct,  they  doesnt have any bitcoin and dont even know the real story about bitcoin.  Threy are showing some reports without any investigation and without trying what bitcoin is all about.

I think social media want to make a news for the TRP Because every time governments of mine country says that be careful , invest in bitcoin at your own risk but the social media uses that statement every time and spread negative news like government will ban bitcoin and don't invest your money because bitcoin is illegal etc etc .
So they just need to start from a Point and then declare bitcoin directly into scam and illegal to increase the length of the bitcoin report .
Well here we should do better ourself  like tell every people about bitcoin and tell them nothing is bad in bitcoin and also we should use it for our need like transfer money from one country to another and for trading also because your money your risk /post .

Because they are dumb and have zero knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. They dont believe it and think it is a scam and tells other people who know as much as they know that they shouldnt invest in Bitcoin. I dont listen to them because it is ridicolous and I get angry because they talk about something they dont know about.

I don't see any reason for them to do such thing, I believe in media's credibility when it comes to delivering current affairs. Many of us think that medias destructs the image of bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general, but it's not. It only seems that they pay attention more on discussing the disadvantages and hazards of using btc while its benefits and advantages are only stated. I hope this kind of mentality will change. Sad

The nature of the media is always to give negative news to attract the viewer of their article in the most. So when there is any negative information about Bitcoin as well as cryptocurrencies, the media will always have negative information, hit the fear of the viewer, stimulate them to read the article and share it, affecting the exchange rate of cryptocurrencies.

I don't agree to everything you say about media who always give negative news. Actually, not all media are doing the same thing as what you think. There are some media who are not delivering negative information to the public. The reason why the media are negative about bitcoin is that they are afraid that the rate of it will keep on collapsing and if they will encourage the people in public to invest in bitcoin, they might be the one who will be blamed when the people lost all their money because of promoting it.

In order to catch the attention of the audience, the media need sensational breaking news. Good news is no news, so the media will take advantage of every positive or negative news with high impact in order to keep their audience interested. So, it's not that they have anything against cryptocurrencies, they just want to sell their product.

This is not only the one reason but big part. We can notice that bad news about terrorism attacks or about celebrities fails are more readable! Its not only the one reason but it also happens! People want hype, horror, sex scandal  news, they like awful things maybe there is some psychological reasons. I don't know! Journalists better sells fake and hyped news, things with bad image and reputation better sells, scandal better for sales! Maybe today's people are tired to play social roles or maybe they bored....There a lot of reason why media write that! To be honest I don't believe in "non motivated" media opinion

You have to know that most of the media, no matter the country, is still owned by some interest groups and are under deep influence. Many of them publish articles designed like some would like them to be, no matter what the true facts are.
And so it's with Bitcoin too. It's not bad to inform or even warn people about bad and risky things connected with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but they often do it with false, not confirmed information and influence the people in wrong way intentionaly.

I couldn't agree more. This like what I have said is completely what is happening to the world right now. The media clearly isn't what is was built to be or what it obviously used to be. Everything nowadays are just driven by money and that includes the media. Which is why most of the time we do not know what is true and what's not. Lies are all around us truth as we know it isn't the whole truth anymore, we are forced to believe what they want us to believe. they are obviously just manipulating us. And cryptos? Well, I do not have enough reason to believe that information being spread by the media isn't fabricated for the benefit of them or the ones controlling them. Even if I didn't have access to this forum, and other credible sources, I would still not believe them. They are only using concern to the people as an alibi to overly stretch issues so that things will turn out the way they wanted to. It is just pure bullcrap, and I for sure ain't buying any of it.

Well, I can say that what you have stated can really be one of the reasons as to why they are spreading all these FUD and negativity about cryptos and most specially bitcoins. But I think that it is more logical that the people running the media are the ones that really do want the prices to go down and are only controlling the media personnel so they can get bitcoins cheaper and be able to gain some profits. That explanation would make a lot more sense than the media men alone doing this so they can invest.

Another great reason can also be because the media men together with the ones who own the networks wants more viewers. Which is why they fabricate almost every story that they get their hands on. They even go to the extent of telling or reporting a whole story filled with a whole bunch of stupid lies just to make their story sell. This is the sad truth not only for bitcoins but also for everything else in this world. The whole truth is most of the media does not care about spreading truth anymore. They only care about money and business. That is our media nowadays.

One of the reasons why most of the media are stating negative things about bitcoin is because it's the current happening about the movement of the price in the crypto world. It doesn't spread rumors without any basis or reliable sources. Some articles are saying negative things about bitcoin because one of them are their opinions or some opinion of economists or financial analysts. There's no wrong with facing the reality, it's just all depends on the individual on how they will handle things.
