And no one is thinking the same way i am, what if new algorithm is created for mobile phones to actually makes mining works on phone? we have POW which is impossible for mobile phone for now and we have POS which doesn't requires any hardware to work, think about the future because every day things get more advanced

Even though the phone shouldn't be used for coin mining, many people do it because it might be a good phone. I prefer not to use my phone for mining coins because it can risk damage while the results obtained are not many
I rather think that the results obtained are not in accordance with the things done. good mining requires sophisticated tools so that it can work to its full potential, and to use my own mobile phone think again to do it

Some projects are actually offering mobile mining just to attract more investors. As for me, there haven't been any altcoins mined using mobile phones with good value. It's just a waste of time and will only consume your battery. I just wish that there would be great coins who would allow profitable mobile mining in the future.
Until now i dont think to see project that has a real good coin value that used mining trough mobile phone which i think a waste of time and by dead we kill our phone for a dime useless token. They should create something that more effective way to offer mining from mobile phone without killing our phone.

The companies do it basically for the hype, as a mobile miner, you wouldn't be making anything worthwhile from the coin mining but you know these decisions is ultimately the miner's decision, they keep doing it even though the risk to their devices is clear and if they decide to continue fully knowing this, I don't bother convincing them otherwise. Anyways the mobile mining isn't as taxing as normal Cryptocurrencies mining but the fact remains that it is almost useless.
very inefficient if you mine on the mobile, it will waste RAM and the performance of your mobile device,
including your time which will be wasted, indeed if you can mine on the mobile will feel more enjoy it, but the rewards that are definitely very little

Nowadays not all people can buy theirselves a PC or Mining farm, but most of people in the world has a smartphones, so it is much more better actually and easier to start mine from the smartphone, every smartphone can be a node, it can increase decentralization and transaction speed, something like that making function x right now with their own smartphones.

Why Mobile Mining exists at all?
Even if it is calculated based on profit this is not very comparable or feasible. But for beginners, mobile mining looks very interesting, because they don't need big capital to start mining crypto. Perhaps for this reason there are now many platforms that develop mobile mining projects.

For those of you who still don't know Electroneum's "mobile mining" in it's app is not an actual mining process but just a simulation of it. The app doesn't actually use your hardware and the hashrate you see is just what they predict you will have based on your device's hardware. They already announced it in their website that they are just giving 3$ worth of ETN for their app and they intend to change the term to “cloud mining” which just justifies what they are doing which is really fake mining for its users. But even if your phone's hardware isn't used do you really think 3$ worth of ETN is enough for you to keep your phone running everyday just to earn it? Your phone still gets damaged just by charging it to keep the app going now I'm no math genius but 3$ isn't going to cover the cost of your phone's electricity cost.

I never imagined using my phone anyway in mining. I can play some "almost" AAA games in mobile, but I wouldn't use that capability of my phone to even get into mining.
My phone's around 3k - 5k mAH, I can't quite remember the exact number but I can say that it isn't full of juices that can even handle these kind of stressful task to hardware within 24 hours.

I think it's a new way for developers to attract people about cryptocurrency since a large portion of world's population owned a Smartphone. I have never tried mining through mobile phone but upon reading a lot of feedback, it seems that its not profitable and will only cause you to damage your own phone because of the mining difficulties and reward you could possibly get each day.

It just a waste of time for me to mined from mobile while the others can mined it through gpu cpu.  I already stop using etn mobile mining and it was really a waste of my resources only. Stop doing it or your phone will be suffered from the heat.

Mining itself is not an easy task because I have tried mining with GPU but incurred unexpected loss and it's not suggestible for anyone to do mining at backyard or home because it creates lot of heat and you end up paying more electricity bill than the earnings, I have tried mining with mobile once but stopped it immediately because it will just make your mobile lag so much.

I think it's just a virtual mining as per what I've read before. There are people that are serious with it and invested heavily to mobile phones just to continually mine electroneums though, I don't know how they are doing right now. You're right and they are telling people that mobile mining is a benefit because it's just part of their marketing. But if a person finds it effective for them, spare them as long as they are okay with what they do and they've been reminded about the consequences of it.

I've always wondered the same thing because I don't see the point of a coin that can be mined with Mobiles as this proves for me that people ran out of ideas before ICO's and tried to invent new mining methods...what is next ? mining with consoles ? Besides this I went once to fix my phone on a mobile service and guess what, the guy was mining with phones that were supposed to be on selling , I mean who ever bought phones from there , was already used in a bad way and I'm sure this happens world wide on every mobile service.

There are some coins which can also be mined with mobile and one of those coins is ELECTRONEUM. I have read the reviews made by different users of electroneum mining app and they concluded that they get approx 5-6 electroneum coins per day. So with current market price it is less than 100 sat a day with internet, electricity and wear tare costs of the device. If why would someone risk the smartphone for just 6 elec a day?
You are wrong mate.Only you have to extend mining every 24 hours. So electricity bill, net bill etc is not a problem.I tried to to mine ELECTRONEUM.But after few days they suspended my account without any reason.Tried to contact support but no answer from them. Also I think better to avoid this mining because you can earn few sat.Maybe better to work in real life and buy etn.It will best choice. You can't earn 10$ end of the month.

We all know that mobile phones are a delicate pieces of gadgets. As mining is a hectic task for computers, the devices we use should be able to sustain the load and be equally worth of resources at the same time. So for such a task, indeed they will serve us for a shorter period of time when we compare their service time with a PC.

So why companies advertise their coins with describing mobile mining as a benefit? Make your coin enough valuable that miners leave other coins for your coin mining. Or otherwise companies should leave this idea.
Your point of view is very unique I must say, for ETN in particular which you mentioned, initially the rewards for mining on mobile was considerate even though it drains battery. Nowadays the mining dividends for ETN is crappie, considering your point of view (wear and tear of the mobile device for penny). However, I think more advancement on this ideology can be done and not just forgetting about the idea entirely. Maybe special devices for mining can be produced, I've seen a project with this strategy but not sure if the product actually works.

As far as I know, mining process need a consist power for about 24/7 and will able to support all the transaction. Also, mobile phone need recharge again to have its power, thus mobile mining is just a waste of time in which nowadays the market is so bearish.

Not all mining is PoW. There's PoS too. And btw, some call their coin distribution mining, no matter what.
There was raiblocks where one had to fill captchas for "mining". Electroneum is a "mining simulator".
There can be faucets and faucet rotators, people get money from faucets and think they are mining.
I guess that everybody want to get some cents from banners, from referrals and so on.

Most of the things called "mobile mining" are not related at all with traditional and normal PoW mining. Of course, I expect that many are pure scam.

And since OP initial question is confusing on all this, he gets answers that will confuse everybody even more.

I think mobile mining is not real and if i remember correctly its not really mining thru your phone but they count the app usage and connection to the server and they just do an airdrop depends on time usage from your phone.

And if that's really mining then it can be easy to make money and battery consumption will surely lessen the life of the batt of your phone since you will need to open the app overnight.
maybe all these problems exist because mobile mining is not yet sufficiently developed. I’m sure that in the future phones with built-in mining will be more convenient to use and it will be more popular

developed by what ? by the dev's of the mining app or you mean by phone ?  i dont think that those mining app lacking on something but i believe the problem is on your phone . thesedays we now have smartphones with bigger battery and bigger ram . i think these type of phone can handle mining app properly  but it would be more better if your suggestion of mining optimized phone will become succesfull in the future  because i think thier harwdware and specs are more chunkier  compare to casual phones  .
