Well, I have made some point, Why People Are Not Honest?
1) To protect someone
2) A fear of abandonment
3) Control what someone else does
4) Control how others perceive us
5) To avoid conflict or punishment

Maybe because they are afraid of their honesty will hurt someone, but it is better to be honest though painful than lie but ultimately caught will be more pain ....
Through lie we can also avoid hurting someone's feelings or keeping an existing relationship or relationship. Maybe because they are afraid of their honesty will hurt someone, but it is better to be honest though painful than lie but ultimately caught will be more pain ....
Lies can help us raise our confidence or get the approval of others. Can I ask why people are not honest. As in, why is it that people don't keep to their words even when they can do so? Can't I just do business with someone without signing papers and get lawyers and witnesses and still keep to my words? Can't we get trustworthy people anymore?
Honesty is the best policy,but most people dealing with dishonesty they lie for their personal interest or its their habit to tell a lie,everytime you tell a lie no one will trust you because you are worthless person no words of honor.
For your information people are honest in the time of Adam and Eve. That was the time that man and woman is so faithful and very honest to each other. Until such time sin entered the world. The world begun to its destruction even people become dishonest. The words people speak is not all is true. Very seldom now who are honest. If there is none sin I think all are perfect, all are honest.
why people are not honest today because they compromise. but if they know the truth about the will of God in specially God they don't want to do against Him. dishonest is sin and no one can enter into the kingdom of God having one sin even little dishonest.
People are not honest can be due to a few reasons: scared of being judge, scheming character or because of conflict of interest. Personally i do have friends who are not open in the first time i meet them and after knowing them for sometime they start to open up more to me as they told me before they are scared of being judge. For the other two aspect i dont think much elaboration is needed as the reasons are direct.
For my short knowledge why people are not honest because they are afraid to know what they are and who they are at our correspondence we need to keep the details for our own as well all that you said about you can make you damn it in case the ones you are talking to those who have nothing to do will spoil their neighbors.

It could be because they want something, feel entitled towards it, so any consideration towards how it might affect others doesn't even begin to process in their heads. I've noticed this in a lot of people. And it's actually different than people who will scam you for a power trip.
I think there are many reasons why people lie. One is they don't want to be blamed and get punished. Of course people don't want to get hurt or shamed, so they naturally tends to lie when they made mistakes. Another is they are protecting something. Every people has secrets, in order to keep it that way, they usually lie about it.
Not honest because some people believe and scared other people cheating and do bad to them.They are have many reasons why the people being not honest.Then don't talk and judge them without don know what is the truth.

That's why we should not trust anyone easily because they have their own thoughts and ways of thinking. They might hide something from you whether it could be good or could harm you. Unless you can read minds, if so, then you might easily say if the person is honest or not.

People are not honest simply because they are trying to hide something. It can either be for protection for the greater good or just so they can hide the bad thing that they did. Overall, people usually lie when they want something to be hidden from the eyes of of another person. Bottom line is they all have a purpose.

The reason is only one, in fact - people think, that lies they say can make their life easier. Unfortunately, it's one of the greatest traps our kind has ever walked into. And we keep doing it (me included, of course).

I think that people are not honest there many reason. First of all, they want to have good things for them so they want to lie to get it. In addition, people are not honest because they want other people not to be hurt, they want others to be happy .
people are not honest because it is within their nature of not to incriminate themselves. it is a common tendency to mislead other people by lying in order to conceal what the truth is, where in they see that telling the truth would destroy their credibility : so people lie.

Anymore? There has never been an era where people could just be trusted. You've always had liars and cheat. Why? That's just the way some people are born I guess.
The deep desire of each person is very inconsistent with what he or she usually shows, and not only deceives the people around him.
