Can I ask why people are not honest. As in, why is it that people don't keep to their words even when they can do so? Can't I just do business with someone without signing papers and get lawyers and witnesses and still keep to my words? Can't we get trustworthy people anymore?

Well i think why people are not honest because they are hiding for something , they wanted to protect someone that’s why they can’t tell it . Or maybe , they doing it because they wanted to get something that might really need them . There’s a lot of reason why people are not honest .

Most people only think about immediate gains and don't consider the mid to long term consequences. That's where most of humanity's problems come from today. Hopefully people will start thinking future oriented soon.
Yes, exactly. They don't want to do anything to get what they want fairly. That's why people try to lie, fool or scam someone to get gains. I read in the news today just about this. Some scammer wanted to blackmail an honest project so he could get money quickly. I'm glad they turned down and didn't pay him even though it cost them reputation. As long as people do this, our society will have serious problem. Unfortumately, I don't think the situation will change any time soon.

Some people are not honest because they don't fear God. They don't see the consequences unless it had happened and it is too late for them to turn everything back.
The world is so arranged that life on earth is divided into good and evil. Not all people are good and not all evil. So here, a person is dishonest only if the financial situation is the most important foundation in his life or a person is by nature a malevolent person. Thus, honesty or dishonesty in a person depends on his conscience.

They are not honest because they don't want to tell the truth when they get caught, when they excuses, when make promise and not fulfill it, they compromise their condition only not to be humiliated, they were many things in them that they are not willing to give up, behind every for excuses is a lie, they're not honest because they are really not honest at all, they're not used to it, for as long as they want to take advantage they will do so, but in the end they suffer the consequences of what they did they, become miserable and plunge into even more conflicted situation that hard to get away, it pay to be honest.
Most people dont know what is to be honest with yourself because their level of consciousness is very low and than we can not expect their honest access to others too.
It's very simple. People are assholes. Some are worse than others. Particularly those who can lie to you with a straight face and without remorse to steal all of your Bitcoins.

This is true we can say because its all about society and some personal in many countries they are giving good training to kids about this and have good return of this but in few developing countries its hurting because system is going in wrong way and its creating chaos just because of this its hurting and not honesty spreading

I think this lays in the nature of humans, some people are always honest and some people arent. Some people are dishonest because they want to preserve themselves of inconvenient situations, some people just have bad character, some people only lie in certain situations and some people just dont make a difference because they dont care. I pity all those that are not honest, but I also accept them, not everyone is equal, but those who are dishonest are causing themselves problem in the long haul with this attitude, just my opinion.
