Because the world is full of oppressions. People are discontented and full of envy in their hearts. If we will just learn to be contented and be happy with what we have and what we are then life will be more bearable but instead, people are becoming more materialistic and selfish which lead them to unending pursuit fro the desire of the flesh.
The reasons why people are unhappy is because they do not have contentment in their life, they always dream big. Most people want to achieve what others have. They live to be rich even they are not. They were influenced by social medias and latest technology.
In life, there are things with which you probably will not accept until the end of life. They may contradict your principles, but they should not injure you. The best thing you can do for yourself and your future is to go through it calmly. In other words - let go. Without letting go of the burden of the past, you will never be happy in the present.
Men are not happy because a human can never be fulfilled and always needs to consume believing that he will feel better but in fact it is just ephemere.
There are many reasons why people are unhappy such as follows:
1. Lack of money/financials
2. Broken family
3. No love life
4. Discontented in life
5. Because of greediness
6. They don't have any friends
7. unemployed or jobless
So these are some of the reason of unhappy people.

Any person can be unhappy only when no one has done his job properly or someone has betrayed him or someone has cheated and whenever anybody becomes most sad then when another man Goes wrong.
One of the habits that make us less happy is when we are unable to accept reality.

That is right, discontentment is the answer. They are always seeking the perfect, exact things in life. Or it could not be material things but fame and fortune may count or a person that they always wanted. People like them used to cut their veins slowly because they never appreciate smaller things they come into their life. They even wanted bigger things. But how can you appreciate big things if not thru a small ones, come to think of it.

Lack of enjoying small things in life. Lack of luck. Lack of remise control. Wonder and enjoy every small thing.
People are unhappy cos they are trying to achieve universally advertised version of happiness which obviously doesnt exist. So people get unsatisfied and stay like this almost all the time. Sad story

there are several reasons unhappy lot of dont know how to enjoy their life they always expect more than things what they have now that is the main reason for people are unhappy lot of people dreaming about what they havent. and also some bad feelings cause to the people unhappy
That's right , that is one of the reason why many of people are not happy in their life, also the reason why people are unhappy, it is because some of them did not get a moral support to their family and their friends.
Did you know many people is unhappy because it depends in her background, in her past . Many people have a big problem in life , and he think he never solution it, thats why he unhappy, and I think , I say her past, for example, broken family, and there are he can not receive.
People aren't happy because it's easy to get caught up in distractions and forget that God is what matters. When we look to things we will be disappointed every time.

they are unhappy despite everything they have is because they are not even satisfied of what they have, they always want to have more and while striving so hard to get the most and the best of everything and being competitive of everything and everybody else, people tend to forget the essence of life is being contented and being happy in the process of wanting to be more they tend to forget their selves as well thats why they seem to forget how to be contented in the first place, because they kept on looking for something else that they don't know what or where to find. Actually it depends on several reason. peoples have different problem of unhappy. some are facing money problem,they don't have stable income. some are facing physical problem. some are facing family problem.
I do not think he can control the situation at hand.
greed, never satisfied and never be grateful for what he got / get. I think this is why people can not be happy because they are never satisfied with what they get.

people who can not be grateful for all the blessings of God, the average feel deprived and unhappy
