People scam because they are lazy, and there is no food for lazy man... lazy fools!
Getting a job is not possible for everyone, not everyone has family or [friends] to help them and sometimes they will make the bad situations even worse them. If you've ever really needed money and were very desperate, than you probably know that people would let you starve to death rather than give you $5.
It's weird how people won't toss out just a few dollars to help someone in need, yet they'll spend $10000 or more on their pet that has an average life span of under 5 years.

I think people scam for greediness. They tend to get the money that ain't fpr them. They are'nt contented for what they have but they're being tempted to get other's earnings. That is too unfair for is who are working hard. They are fooling a lot of people and they deserve to be punished.
Because they want to get rich as soon as possible. They wanted to get money easily. They thought they are taking shortcut to wealth which is actually taking them to a complex path. More importantly, people scams because of greed. These people forcibly gain wealth by taking them from others. Scammers are simply up to no good. They always lead to complicated situation.
You should change the topic title as why people are so selfish. Base on OP, I don't see any direct point saying "why people scam."
Anyway, the point of view of people who are not donating some money to people who are just begging is that those will become dependant instead of finding a job, a decent one, instead of just opening your hand while sitting in the streets waiting for someone to give them a coin.
Those who deserve to receive donations are those who are facing health issues like cancer but they can't afford it, those who are working hard yet still it is not enough and etc.
Thats because of the greediness. The eagerness to earn is also the reason. Taking money to the members who worked well is not good especially they trusted you to hold their money and yet you are taking that all away. We hear news of constant scams because there are no important punishments against fraud. There are many deficiencies, especially against cyber crimes. Now there are no more bank robberies, usually fraud online.

Greed is the biggest motivator behind scamming others. Secondly its lack of ethics. Not respecting other peoples hard earned money/things. How can it be okay to anyone to take something that doesnt belong to you. And has not been given to you?

I have lived a few years of my life and understood a very basic human instinct and a world saying being true. "There's no free Lunch". No one in this world is really there to help you out for free. Even if they do help you out for free there will always be an expectation in their minds where they want you to help them back in one way or the other. Its really sad but humans are really made like this. So what's the best thing you can do for someone is getting them a job or a source of living. Trust me if you feed him once he will remember you once but if you get him a job he will remember you everytime he gets his supper. I think it's easy to owned money in quick time.People can get lots of money within a second without doing anything.
But it's really unacceptable and people should give up it.And we also should use escrow in big transactions.Scammer are always clever and clearly they play a mind game with us.

No clue, how people still fall for scams - i understand it was famous money earning years ago, but there are still that dumb people who pays money for unknown forum member - that's why people scam still nowadays, what is clearly very bad.
Actually deceptive acts are acts that defame themselves, if we want something we should not cheat because it will harm yourself and harm others as well. Without cheating we can also earn substantial income.
I have some little digital currency coins, all of which I get from the results of my own hard work without cheating and harming others.

This is a very good question. I never understood people who deceive others. It's horrible. They do this, probably because they do not know anything, except to deceive and live a lie.
Deceiving people is a very good way to earn a lot of money. Plus, there is nothing much to do, not much hardwork, skills, and time is needed. That why some people scam others.
I think money is the reason of why people scam, i mean they can earn much money only from scamming some people. Fast money, quick bucks only by scamming people. Imagine if the scammer scam a person that have many bitcoins, the scammer will become rich easily.
Sometimes SCAM is even rational. If the risk of being caught low enough it is rational to take money, catch a flight and disappear.

I think that we should work on the increasing risks of punishment, these would push even rational people not to do scam.

People get scammed because of their wrong decisions. Bitcoins is not a scam if you will just simply buy it and hold it into your wallet but when it comes to the point that you will invest your bitcoins into an icos that is the time you can be a victim of a scam because not all icos are legit some are just a scam that will collect all of the peoples money. So my advice if joining a signature campaign you much check all those things a promising icos have. And do not be too greedy because that is the one that pushes you to your grave.
