Because, 1. bitcoin is a currency that is not regulated by any central bank. 2. bitcoin can be the best investment  3. Because Bitcoin does not have an intermediary, transactions can be done without any limits.
Yeah that's right, All would be better if the Government willing to accept Bitcoin/Crypto as official currency in the country. All people will be easy to Transact and save the assets in his possession without any third parties who set it up.

I am believe government oppose bitcoin because government or central banks can not control the supply. We know that central banks control the money supply by printing paper money from thin air.
If government or central banks oppose bitcoin because used for criminal action like money laundering, we know that banks system is good place to hide the corruption money and laundring it.

Bitcoin has a number of features that outperform other currencies so the government should know which one is best for their country.

My reason is very simple, bro. because crypto money helps the world community to make transactions easier both domestically and abroad. and can be a reserve currency for the world community

Because crypto seems to be a natural progression of history, whether it is wanted or not, the government is pahir accepting it.

Bitcoin really allows you to track transactions, and everyone can do it. Therefore, dishonest politicians are in no hurry to accept cryptocurrency. They are simply afraid of the consequences of this acceptance.

I think that the main problem of the government with bitcoin is the inability to control it. The authorities can not allow people to control their money, they need to intervene in this process. Therefore, it is unlikely that most of the rulers will voluntarily decide to accept the cryptocurrency.

I think never. If the government accepts bitcoin, they will want full control and they will remove the bitcoin transparency. They can also control the number of people in silence, and of course no one will invest or want to hold a bitcoin when that happens.

A few reasons why governments may be interested in accepting crypto:

1. Control people.
2. Make money.
3. Get people's dark money by deanonymization.
4. Taxation.

maybe for now it doesn't have to accept because many countries that prohibit crypto currency to be accessed in that country may someday indeed be acceptable to the government currency

In my view, it's true that corruptors want to wash their money with bitcoin. Where the intensity of anonymity and bitcoin is highly recognized, quality and very difficult to trace. So it makes it difficult for the government to legalize or not, because the bad effects that will be caused are terrible.

That centralization could provide governments with some world-changing capabilities — some good, some rather scary. There's the upside of giving people a secure and cheap way to buy things. There's also serious privacy concerns, especially when talking about authoritarian countries.

We are led to believe that almost all governments are corrupt and that most officials and even leaders of the world are bought.

We saw this for instance with the US elections where rumours are doing the rounds that massive amounts of money were channelled from foreign countries to influence the outcome of the election. This money had to be laundered through shell companies via Banks and complex money laundering systems.

All of this leaves paper trails and this can later be followed and investigated to find the true origin of this money.

Now think about this, why would "corrupt" governments want to appose Bitcoin and Crypto currencies, if they can use it to hide their "corrupt" practices? Would it not make sense just to allow it and then use it to further their political aspirations?

The push back from these corrupt governments does not make any sense. Could it be that they know that Bitcoin and Crypto currencies are not "anonymous" at all and that these transactions can be traced and for this reason they are apposed to it?

Curious to know what you are thinking.  Wink

I believe it was anonymous maybe they are just concerned about its negative effects to people. Like what you said not all politicians are corrupt there are stil ones who can stand their dignity without fear. Also, these crypto currencies are quite hard to manage compared to paper money since it was volatile. Maybe they are still on the process of studying these new trend.

The mandate of most governments are to protect their people, but they are doing more harm than good these days. The politicians that are not corrupt are in the minority and most of them are from the opposition parties. I agree with you that most politicians are still clueless about this technology, but they have skilled advisors that are knowledgeable to advise them.   Angry

Bitcoin might solve these problems, if the bribes could be traced back to the people who are giving them.  Roll Eyes

I think it would make sense for governments to accept cryptocurrency specifically bitcoins to develop the technological advancement of the country. But if they cannot handle the overall economic factor cryptocurrency has, then their economy might be disrupted or worse, collapse.

if in my opinion the government wants to accept crypto it would be great for crypto to grow everywhere and it could be that crypto was controlled by the government, so the security of crypto would also be guaranteed...

I don't think the governments will accept the cryptos until they have no other choices left so it is not going to be easy that governments  in the world will make the crypto legal all around. But they need to accept if they want to provide better safety for money of their citizen and save from inflation.

I think, Government should regulate bitcoin because it will increasing tourism industry. If merchant accepting bitcoin, more tourism from around the world will come and spending their bitcoin. It will increasing government income from taxes
If government will accept and regulate bitcoin it will be sounds good, but  as of now I am not sure if this is pobre because as we all know not all the country are open or accept bitcoin the worst is they banned bitcoin from there countries so if this will happened about bitcoin regulations this will be good idea but the implementation is quite a tough one.

In the start government  didn't  agree and didn't  like bitcoin or any cryptocurrency  as you said government  was corrupt so that they don't  like it because  they don't have any control or they can't manipulate the value or any transaction so that is why it's hard to them to regulate or to accept bitcoin. But now here in my country bitcoin is now legal and we are free to use bitcoin or any cryptocurrency.

What rights does the cryptocurrency give to the user and how does the state protect users from fraudsters? Or does the state take only taxes, and the protection of users is their own business?
