Why shouldn’t we be concerned? Seems like everyone on here is extremely confident will see a bounce back to the December highs and then surpass them, but this dip/crash is now 5 months long. So I’m curious as to why so many of you are confident?

I don't think it will surpass the last December's value but if you'll just think it over, the next halving will be happening next year May 2019 and the difficulty of mining will increase again making bitcoin more scarce and valuable. This is just my own opinion, so during December people have lots of money due to bonuses from their pay. Those extra money that they have will be allocated to spending it into crypto for possible profit by next year. It's always been the trend that bitcoin value will always increase during December so let's just wait and see what the future will bring.

becuase we believe in this movement and technology. If you don't then don't you bother and go away. If you're here for sheer speculation, you're bringing nothing to table...

Didn't really read the other replies, but probably someone else in the thread has told you the same thing: look at the overall picture. Lightning is coming into play, scaling will be less of an issue. Adoption, albeit slow, is happening daily. And the 9 year graph can show you exactly where bitcoin is going. Can't say we're not gonna have another bearish year and that everyone will be making money like december, but all the signs point towards growth. All of 'em.

It's clear that bitcoin is very young and it just a beginning many people holding bitcoin as a long-term investment that's why they are very confident even though with this situation right now. Some experts predict that bitcoin will be skyrocket, I personally buy it as much as I can because I won't lose that moment like when I lost a chance couple years ago, didn't buy much when the price was really cheap.

there are many factors that make me always calm, not panicked and confident, we are not alone on the train. there are still many crypto figures that predict that in the future bitcoin will penetrate $ 50K. is that possible?

I answered "yes". it might happen. fiat fluctuations, forex fluctuations and bitcoin fluctuations are not the same, bitcoin fluctuations is very fast and very high.

Well, it's all about the long term. We had a big correction, and there is nothing wrong with that. Markets can't keep going up for all eternity. There was a crash, but I remember people were incredibly happy the first time BTC reach the $5k, and now suddenly is a terrible price? Well it is, if you bought at $20k, but for those that were holding long term, and din't just bought because of fomo, the current price is still good.

Also nothing change in terms of development. Or maybe they have, but for better, since the LN is already on the main net. There is also some interest from the institutional investors, and they could bring the price up. It doesn't really matter in my opinion. The key point for a project is it's goals, and it's team. There is nothing wrong with bitcoin from that point of view, so I'm optimist about it.

I just hopeing alts recover lol .Most have gone down 90% since  there peak

I think the market is in the process of recovery, but this recovery is not your desire, this is a recovery for the process of spiral up last year. It can not go up forever, it must be stable.

no need to worry about the bitcoin prices that are weakening in recent times, look at people who did join from the beginning of the formation of bitcoin, they are always loyal to this business, they have experienced a lot of try but ultimately who survived then he won.

To gain profit you have to believe in something that can give you an advantage, and if you panic then you will not get anything. I believe that bitcoin will be able to rise from the current fall and can rise high, and it's just a matter of time.

it is all in the potential that bitcoin has.
we have not even seen the adoption of it start properly. what we have seen so far was small scale adoption which was mostly the start of things. and this will continue and as more people adopt bitcoin its price will continue to go up. which is why people agree that it will go to its ATH and surpass it eventually.

If your game plan was correct, the crash in December shouldn't have broken you. In fact if you hedged correctly, you could have bought the 6k dip that came in early February. If your game plan was incorrect you likely are holding onto some bags, which you can most probably get out of soon. There simply is no reason to be concerned if you use the proper leverage, the only way I could see somebody freaking out is if they are in way over their head in which case the mistake was entering the market with too high leverage.

What crash? The crash has ended months ago, back when we saw a failure to break 6k USD and a run towards 10k. We are in a time of stabilization before another huge move.
We all would love to see the price reach some crazy numbers like 20k USD or more, but it has never been like that after a correction. Last year we saw a huge jump in value to the point when BTC was greatly overbought. It will take time before the market gains enough confidence to do it again.

Bitcoin's price always fluctuates since forever. So it became normal for the most of us. But to be honest, it's price since January has been difficult for traders. That's why I decided to hold for the mean time.

the bitcoin credibility that makes me believe that bitcoin at the end of December will be high over $ 25,000. bitcoin has gone through a lot of obstacles, so, it is very inappropriate if we are still in doubt and FOMO.

and it makes some people and investors always hold the bitcoin, so bitcoin is able to maintain its value.

we are all calm because the worry is the source of destruction. such as when the price goes down we are worried then the coin we have instead we sell at a low price, even though the price will rise again, and yes we also believe that bitcoin will grow. there is no sense of anxiety or worry because we already believe it.

Why you say this is a deep crash? Remember, in 2017 May Bitcoins price was under 2000 us dollars. Even for new investers is it not a deep crash too. Because it was 6000 at the begining of the 2018. Bitcoin is always be profitable and it will always be like this. So because of this reasons we shouldn't be concerned.

Many expect that bitcoin will still stand and a period of prolonged decline will come a period of rapid growth. You can't tell exactly when it's going to happen. But the fact that bitcoin is the end is definitely not the right opinion.

I don't actually believe that the price will bounce back to anything like it used to be, especially any time soon. I'm trying to remain calm and optimistic that it will at least surpass $8.500-$9.500, not more than that. We're currently in a long-term dip, with other smaller ones occurring every now and then, which is way too stressful for investors. Actually, I just want to get my money back and be done with trading.
