Because there are several sucessful ICO's in the market and it makes it more exposed to the investors, putting large amount of money to pump its value. People see this as an opportunity to multiply their investments. And here comes those who wants to grab the opportunity, with the hopes to beat Bitcoin. A lot of ICO's are coming from anywhere, some of them are fake and scam And they are just nuisance and greedy people who wants to take huge volume of money from the crowd fundings.
There is no such thing as a successful ICO.
Unless you mean the scheme drew in plenty of people with cash in hand.

This means that many ICO's , there are many to invest with , and many to participating with. And many profit will be earned in the ICO's but depends on the ICO a person is joining in. I think everyone looks ten times at an ICO team and whitepaper before investing. Too many scams out there.

I look at the ICO's as a new wave in an online capital formation. It may look like a bubble currently, but it is a legit and very future-proof way of raising money for businesses. Crowdfunding - a previous boom in this field was also a surprise to everyone. No one could imagine that it is possible to raise up to $1 million from strangers online to start a product. The main reason why ICO is booming up because they do see that theres a strong support of the community when they do decide to launch up a certain good project which would really make profits so easy and the trend goes on and now the reality comes through on which scammers and frauds joined up the action and making their own coin and market them public which do make raised some funds and poof. Theyre gone and scam its investors. They are really many as of now and if we do try to calculate how many % do become success on these ico would really be less than 3% overall.
