There's a lot of fake ICO's spreading now a days because it's easy steal money from investors they research more how to steal, those people are so clever when it comes scamming with others. Anyway you must be careful choosing the right ICO.
The situation on the market is very complicated and many ICOs developers thought that bitcoin will start to grow and they will get more profit from their projects. But the market is unpredictable, so many projects are dying atm. Ideas of projects are excellent, but founders don't want to WORK.
While some cryptostappers are working hard to produce something really useful, about 9 out of 10 coins this year was only released for quick profit. The most frequent tricks of scammers are: Secret release of tokens by the authors of the project before the public launch Artificial slowdown of mining algorithms, while the owners of the protocol themselves own optimized algorithms. "Pampah" of the exchange rate of the issued coin to its official listing on crypto-exchanges (and afterwards - on the stock exchanges - pampa be healthy) Promise of delivering physical goods in exchange for tokens Release of their own "more comfortable / protected" cryptotices with backdoors Lies about partnership with such large companies like Amazon The complexity of understanding the technology of blocking helps scammers mislead people without revealing the technical capabilities of their coins and stealthily manipulating the code. Otherwise, this behavior is not very different from any other form of investment fraud.
There will be more scam ICOs in the crypto world until ICOs are regulated. I think the only solution to all scam ICOs around is the call for the regulation of ICOs. Until then we will continue to have scam ICOs in the crypto world.

The only answer to your question is that, people now days are not ready to work hard to financially secure their lives. So when they see easy way for getting huge amount of money like scams, they become willing to cheat the people. And the fact that crypto market is not regulated by any authority further encourages them to do scams. are you aware of this? Because people believe in crypto without the reason. (and willing to pay money in it). So the "scammer" can easily "scam". People believe in crypto's miracle. (can be rich after one night, needn't do anything?). The scammer take advantage of their belief to scam. The beginner have to learn:"Making money is not easy."
I think its because that all creators maybe havent stable and ready product, so they see that they will have 0 chnaces to grow and we see scams
There are many scams today because they already know that bitcoins are getting high and the scammers will easily be attracted to that kind of amount so they will use whatever source or technologies or any king of scams just to get what you have. Even if there are securities, they will just find a way to scam others.
In my opinion its less scam than that was in the past. The market grows up and nowadays you can't just create some weird ICO with stolen whitepapers and scam everybody, the people now became wiser
If there is money in market, there will always be fraud. This is an unavoidable situation.
If you try to make a fast buck, you are an amazing sitting duck for scammers. Just research project and team members. Look their backgrounds. This isn't difficult stuff. Money doesn't grow on trees, so you have to be clever and hardworker for earn money.

Because there are lots of people that are willing to give their money away. People don't do their due diligence, and as the saying goes, a fool and his money are soon parted.
Because scammers are always where the money is.
And ICOs are easier for them because of less regulation and control. Easiness of anonymity...
From another side, most ICO "investors" are just gambling not investing. They do not study the projects, do not try to understand the idea and market... Just gamble...

Because they found easy way to make money. These frauds used to work harder, now all they need is one fake ICO program and voila, they can steal sucker's money, legally!
Because there's still so many people that are fool and easy fall into this trap. People should be more careful next time because those scam ICO will not succeed only if people are well educated so you'd better start studying about this market and not be a victim of this scam.
Actually, there are already plenty of scam ICO even before, its just now that people tend to analyze the project and gives time to do research that's why they see that it was just a scam, we must do research in every transaction we wanted to do.

there is always a SCAM ICO in the past years but the growth of cryptoworld makes them think that they will penetrate and take some money to investors!

Because more and more scammers are emerging now a days. People who take advantage of other people's carelessness and negligence. The opportunity to steal easy money is so enticing for them that they have no regard whatsoever for their victims. Sad, but this is one risk that we must prepare ourselves for. No one will be scammed if he will not allow himself to be scammed. In other words, be vigilant..and a little bit paranoid just to be sure. 😁

really the end of many scam ico, but they argue because of the unreachable income of their project so the tokens will not be able to enter the market, and many more reasons they give reasons. basically the money we invest in their projects will be forfeited in the sense that they are deceiving. because I experienced it myself. so be careful in choosing ico
