Let me rephrase the question of your thread: why do people in the US vote for a liar like TRUMP

It wasn't an honest question. It was a typical question from a champagne socialist looking down from La tour d'Argent...

Glad you know better than me the question I ask. Of course it was a contempful question. I absolutely didn't sincerely want to know why people loved and trusted Trump. It was a question full of contempt from my Tour d'Argent  Roll Eyes

I do not see any cult of enthusiam around Trump.  I see people leaning toward voting for him for practical reasons.  For example, Republican voters have not seen Congress or the Senate effectively working against any of Obama's proposals or legislation, even though they promised they would.  That makes no sense.

So leaning against the "establishment," they lean toward Trump.

That was the center of my question. And that's what I understood from Galdur. I had the impression that people really loved and trusted him and I didn't understand that.

Now... Do you understand why your position is hilarious and why you are a liberal, by US definition, not france's? We do not care how you call yourself. As long as you believe your ex minister has more rights than you. It must be! How come he hasn't been in jail yet? The BBC article is dated 15 April 2013.

Not unusual at all. European justice is long. And it's the case everywhere. Only 3 years ago man, 3 years for national cases is nothing. I don't see your point here.

French Corruption from the Corrupted French Socialists. They know they have enough useful idiots** like you to keep them out of jail forever...

But do tell us why France never vote for the liars, young engineer...

Stop right there!
Where did I say anything like this?
I was talking about American presidence run. The fact that people seem to actually love Trump and I was wondering why.

I NEVER said French politic was different. The only different is that we don't like them, we vote for the one we think is the less horrible that's all.

I invite everyone to use google search the way I did and seek juicy french corruptions for this lesson giver.

It was an honest question, I wanted to know why Trump is loved so much. Galdur answered. End of the debate. Never gave you lessons about politics here.

Here are the profiles of Sanders and Trump on Politifact.

Tell me just one thing you Trumpers, how do you justify that nearly 80% of what Trump says is at least mostly false?

http://www.politifact.com/personalities/donald-trump/

http://www.politifact.com/personalities/bernie-s/

Is there any justification for that?

Looking through a number of those, I don't think they are realistic assessments of "true or false."

Not in the least.

You don't approve the way they check the facts?

I'm not perfectly aware of American politics and news so I'm probably less well informed.
But I relaly like how it's done. They're rather harsh on notation that's for sure!

Another typical, logical perspective from a well informed liberal...

I just said I'm not well informed in the general American political life. I don't understand what you mean here.

One of the most important characteristics of a leader is honesty and liability, neither if which Drumph has.

Liability?

He does not have liability?

So you mean he can't lie.

But he's not honest?

Are you an idiot?

A limey socialist comedian does a show on trump and suddenly thousands of brain dead people are acting like they are experts on him.

BTW, did anyone ever stop to think that Tump's ANCESTORS changed their family name, not Donald? How exactly does this reflect on his personal integrity? Here is a hint: it doesn't.

Politifact is fucking garbage. Go fact check for yourself, don't take the word of professional hitmen.

P.S. John Oliver is not a reputable news outlet, he is a comedian. Try getting your sources from somewhere other than television entertainment media.

All people are liars, at least a little bit. If you are going to vote, you will be voting for a liar. No other way to do it.

Since all politicians and candidates are liars, why not recognize who the best liar is? It's simple. Give the people the lies that turn them on the most, and they will vote for you.

People are sick of the Council on Foreign Relations liars. These liars haven't been giving the people anything that they think they want, for decades now.

Up with Trump, the liar who tells the people the things that their hearts lie to them that they want.

Cool

I'm British, but it's precisely because I'm British I understand how the Americans feel, here in Yorkshire we absolutely hate the smug pricks that run our country and tell us how to live, everybody in the North hates these disgusing socialites that think the world revolves around them.

 Cheesy

I meant the OP, sorry.

We've been dueling for a while now so I get you.   Smiley

Indeed!
It seems like we're more or less opponents on pretty much everything xD

I'm French. I'm a rather young male in the engineering field. I'm a freaking convinced Socialist! Which makes me really angry when you and Spendulus say I'm a "fucking liberal" cause damned no I'm no liberal! Liberals are ugly righty pricks Tongue

Funny really how what you call "lefties" are representing the right wing of our political horizon in France ^^

"Special Envoy" on France 2, plunged the viewer at the heart of the Cahuzac scandal; visited the office of the Minister for the Budget. Jérôme Cahuzac proudly present two posters of "Scrooge".

French government ministers have revealed details of their personal wealth as part of efforts by Francois Hollande to regain public trust.

The statistics were posted on a specially created website on Monday, on the orders of Mr Hollande.

The move followed the scandal surrounding former Budget Minister Jerome Cahuzac, who is charged with tax fraud over a secret bank account.

Mr Hollande's popularity ratings have plummeted in the wake of the scandal.

Each of France's 37 ministers is required to publish details of their personal finances.

The list of assets includes details of bank accounts, life assurance policies, property and other expensive items such as cars, art works and antiques.

The BBC's Hugh Schofield in Paris says the exercise is designed to be eye-catching, and dispel some of the public disenchantment with politics that has developed in recent weeks.

Jerome Cahuzac caused shock earlier this month when he admitted he had hidden about 600,000 euros (£509,000; $770,000) in a Swiss bank account, having repeatedly denied it.

He resigned from his government position and is now being investigated for tax fraud.

For politicians of both left and right, the obligation to declare their wealth fosters a presumption of collective guilt which is entirely unjust.

Mr Cahuzac, they say, should be seen as what he is: a grotesque exception.

And others argue that the president has simply missed the point.

There really was quite little "fact checking."  Just statements of their far left opinions.

The point isn't how much TV time the candidates have. The point is how much TV time the people have between elections.

The point is this. TV is more than 99% lies. People watch TV. People love TV. People love lies.

Then, when election time comes, people still love lies. All candidates lie. That's why people listen to and watch the candidates. People love lies. People love the candidate that lies the most.

Cool

Yeah probably. But it will probably help if there is a total equality between candidates during elections.

Well, in my opinion, all politicians are liars.
Let's face reality.
Every politician have simple goal, to win election.
In order to do this, he/she have to inspire people to vote for him.
you can't inspire people with cruel reality and truth so you lie.
After elections you try to do something, with more or less success.
When new elections comes you are accusing others for failures and praise yourself for successes.

People do not wish to vote for the liar, its just that they get carried away by this person's promise during campaign that his promises are worth convincing for the crowd to believe. This is the main problem that countries are facing right now. People should be educated to research for the person's profile and history to be sure of his promise. Make even survey is a good way of knowing the person.

If people educated themselves on the addictive lies that TV is, and how TV is making them into slaves, they would throw their TV out the window and get a life. Same with politics.
