there is a lot of beliefs when it comes to our existence. there is biblical and scientifical, but in my own opinion, we exist for each other. we were created by God to helo each other and to enrich what has given on us which is our nature.
Religion or science - multiple people or groups will tell us why we belong. Personally what matters is that we work towards a brighter future at the end of the day.
We came to this world in order to learn something new, to create something of ourselves, to learn how to do good deeds for others and leave behind something good.
We exist in this world of course to jasm the exams given by God to us, so we must be able to face all the trials and we live in this world to be able to make other people happy
To most people who are born in this era, it is more like to survive financially and die with dignity.
I just read in the bible and say of the priest in our church, Its said that we are here in this world is because to protect this world
and to take care the whole creation of the god like plants,animals and etc. But the lord say's into adam and eve is to go to the world and multiply.

Interesting question indeed, but to answer the question, in my opinion we have a purpose, we are in a cycle right, life Cycle to be exact, so i think we are here to discover the mysteries of the world. Well that's what all of us are doing right? We are all studying everyday specially in the fields of Science we have Exploration, Discovery, Study of Ancient Times, Study of Life, etc... In short we are the one's who solves the mystery that the creator has given us.
To eat what ever I want! 
I think we are here because we want to be part of something larger than ourselves.
I think we're here to make the earth more beautiful with industrial infrastructure and fuel oils.
I am cause my daddy cummed inside my mum

Because my parents had unprotected sex many years ago.
Just to explore our world and when you apply that gift you possess that comes so easily to you and can be used anywhere, anytime to help someone else; maybe your family, your community, your city, state, country or the world in general that is my purpose.
I am a Christian and a religious man, so my answer will come directly from my belief in a Great And Powerful, All Knowing God.
A side note here he invented sex and wants us to have great sex lives. Also a loving Christian Marriage is God's ideal place for great sex and loving Christians are know to have great sex lives because they are coming together out of care and giving to each other not out of selfish reasons to satisfy One's own desires...

For each person, there is a different meaning to his/her life. Each person in this world is born with a purpose and is given the ability to master the skill to achieve that purpose. Life is nothing but the journey to achieve that purpose. It's the reason we are in this world to strive for our purpose but also to add meaning to others lives.
To seek out why we are in this world.
